Anyone having problems with the Parachute Dangerously objective?

I've never had any issues with this simple objective, but today I've tried it 10 times and it won't complete for me. I've jumped from planes, helicopters, buildings and the Vinewood sign. It just won't work. Is this happening to anyone else or am I just doing something wrong today?

It worked the last time I tried it a week or two ago. You have to open the chute as close to the ground as you can. That always works for me.

Yes, this has happened to me back in December. It seems really glitchy for some reason.

 

It finally ticked off the objective when I jumped off the Devin Weston hangar in the airport.

Doing the parachuting mission called 'Dropping In' always works for me.

Op jump of any bridge on the ls river. They are the perfect height.

 

 

 

Forgot to mention. Sometimes they just get bugged like escaping wanted levels sometimes you got to get one more star than required or hop sessions.

I always jump from the D at the Vinewood sign, works 90% of the time, when it doesn't I just switch sessions.

Yeah there's closer places to get it done. Most people live closer to the other locations listed.

If you hate it because it's bugged then fair enough but otherwise isn't it one of the easiest and quickest objectives to complete? Just get in any old aircraft, fly up a little bit, jump out and job done.

maybe it's a cache problem like the wanted level bug.

if so try to join a new session (or start online again) and do this objective as the first thing you do in that session before anything else is in the cache.

Sounds to me like a lot of people think parachuting dangerously means jumping off dangerous sh*t instead of opening your chute close to the ground

This one and the escape wanted level objective glitch out for me pretty frequently. It's pretty frustrating when I can't complete my dailies because the easiest ones are bugged.

Especially if you get there by helicopter. If you jump and fail, just hop in and out of the helicopter for another parachute and repeat.

It doesn't always count it, but it always eventually has for me.

The parachute job dropping in allows you to complete this daily objective. There's a spot you're told to ditch your main shoot and use your reserve. The objective gets checked off as soon as you disconnect the first chute.

I literally had it today. I just call a helicopter and go up a ways and jump out. Pull chute at the last possible second. Always gets it. Always.

Unfortunately, there are times when it glitches and doesn't tick it off the list. Similar to how it glitches out with escaping a wanted level and even deathmatches. Back in December, I got the parachute dangerously as a daily (on PC) and went over to the helicopter spawn by the docks, flew up and pulled my chute close to the ground. I basically did a carbon copy of what I did on PS3, but it didn't tick it off the list. I tried like 10 times after that and tried stuff like swapping characters, restarting GTA Online, etc. None of them worked for some reason.

 

We're not misinterpreting it or anything. It's just really glitchy.

Huh. Weird. I guess I have been really lucky, never had an issue with any of those objectives. I did have an issue with the stunt jumps in the beginning though.
