darkgreenmeme
My game plan when running this setup: It always helps to have the best gunner on the Insurgent Pickup's gun, and have the best driver driving it. Head straight for the east end of the Alamo Sea off-road and travel along the shoreline, and you should avoid the worst of Merryweather on the ground. The non-pickup Insurgent should go a head and park at the drop off spot while the Insurgent pickup crew should fight off Merryweather when the objective changes to that. IceDree
Once you reach the Quarry, stay on the higher grounds, take cover & clear out the Merryweather mercenaries. (some people use armored kurumas, which is fine too) Once you take the Insurgents, let the most skilled gunner & driver take the pick up. Head west, but stay off road & keep your distance from the streets ... That way you are avoid most of Merryweather's back up. darkgreenmeme
Rocket Skates
Haven't tried this on foot for a long time because most of the time people just jump in a Kuruma, but the best approach I found was cap the two guys at the gate then proceed to the test site and have two guys on the south side higher ground and two go around to the east side. From here heavy snipers come out and pick off everyone you see. Move down to the Insurgents and mop up any guys you missed with ARs and machine guns and take the trucks. Driving back should be straight forward. Two in each truck, unarmed Insurgent leads while gunner truck focuses on the choppers first then the ground units, aiming for the drivers but shooting the engine if they can't hit the drivers. Heavy vest + BP helmet outfits should be equipped and interaction menus up. Don't forget the Insurgents have excellent ramming power, so when you would normally need to swerve around a car, you can plow through them making it easier for your gunner to get a better shot. darkgreenmeme
I find it helps to have half the team come in from the north side, while the other team is on the south side. Usually when playing with randoms, they will go to the south side, but by doing this, the Merryweather guys split up and can't effectively use cover. IceDree
Oooh I forgot about something. If you are the gunner & the driver began to lose control, bail out the second the Insurgent do a wheelie... There's a big chance it would flip over & you get pancaked by the Insurgent & die .... I learned that the hard way. darkgreenmeme
darkgreenmeme
This is a video of a race I designed for practicing getting the Insurgents back to the drop off. (Insurgent Training Run [PS4]) It avoids the worst of the Merryweather ground forces before the objective changes by staying mostly off road and is almost direct to the drop off. Even safer is to take the train tracks through the small tunnel by BMU park, and then go to the shoreline.
