Insurgent (Unarmed) worth it?

The Insurgent is EASILY one of the TEN MOST ESSENTIAL vehicles in the game to own. If you have only one ten car garage, it MUST be one of the vehicles in it. It's that useful.

Definitely, if you're in the market for it. It's great fun to drive, but bear in mind that the windows are the same as the windows in regular cars so don't expect protection in auto-aim lobbies. You cna be shout out by guns just like every other regular car.

 

But yes, get one.

 

They were actually buffed. Now they're bullet resistant like the windows on the executives armored cars.

 

When did that happen? It must have been since the weekend because I shot someone out of one at the weekend numerous times (it's a fun pasttime of mine).

 

Don't believe shneb, I've just come out of a fight with an insurgent noob. Killed him instantly through the glass from front and sides.I tested it. The front window breaks to two or three carbine rifle rounds. The much smaller side windows though can take half a clip. Was it like that before?

Was normal glass originally I think. I wear a bp helmet driving anyway between that and ducking Ive never died driving it.

I already have an insurgent pick-up and now im thinking should i get an unarmed version ( for protection from jets and rpgs) is it worth it also how is the performance?

i used to have an unarmed insurgent (i fully upgraded it), it was fast, a terror on the road because of it,s speed and armor and it's fun to drive.

Considering the horrid NPC driver AI in this game, the fact that the Insurgent does not give a single f**k what it runs into is priceless. If you hate having your vehicle get banged up and damaged by collisions, this is the vehicle for you. Oh, and it tends to kill the NPC drivers of other vehicles when it hits them, giving you instant retribution without police attention.

 

Only real downside I can think of is that its excessive durability makes me drive a bit recklessly, sometimes landing me in the water or getting me stuck between fences and other debris.

Feeling ashamed. I always have misread it. I thought they were armoured and unarmoured, with armored having a gun to boot.... Universe really starts to make more sense after reading this thread.....

It was pretty hard rooted misconception btw, i read this thread to the end half of page three before i saw the light. Expletives here.

 

Edit: this is starting to eat me, i just realized all the fun with the insurgent in heist setup where you steal both of them... Armored really, REALLY starts to make sense now....
