thats up to the internet provider.

as far as i know only a handful of companies offer equal download/upload speed.

Thank you. So after reading this thread it appears that I don't have a great internet connection, but certainly is far from the worst. I was worried that I might be causing a lot of lag. Am I right in assuming mine is decent enough not to cause those issues?

your connection is good.

 

at the end of the day are the players with super weak connections like OP are the ones that cause the entire lobby to lag due to the p2p system gtao use.

82.96 down

11.96 up

How accurate are either of these tests?

Yes. The PS4 also throttles speed or so I heard. Not sure why.

100 mbps glass viber. My test on my PS4 shows 82.8 down and 102.9 up.

You need internet to play gta o, so this thread has a whole lot to do with online.

 

Some people found this thread informative, after all if it had "nothing to do with online" it wouldn't have hit 4 pages in less than 18 hours.

On a good day:

 

Download: 0.86 Mbps

Upload: 0.67 Mbps

Ping: 668

 

They have Fiber Op at the end of my road (literally 60 meters away from my house) and the ISP refuses to run it

It throttles it to prevent lag spikes when other people are using the came connection. In other words, it improves the consistency of the connection.

I would literally eat dog sh*t covered in razor blades and vinegar for 10 Mbps up and down and a ping under 50..... I couldn't even dream of 749 and 607.......
