Do more deathmatches instead of making freeroam into a warzone.

CarimboHanky, further research has revealed that I'm an idiot. Lol. My modder friend confirms you're right all that stuff is patched. I have no explanation for the combat rolls I saw, I wish I could say I was drinking but I wasn't. And the guy showing off his fast run about a month ago is really lost on me. Anyways, people ignore my ignorant babble about the cheats. They're not not an issue.

Go off the radar and sneak up on fools. Try to get a melee kill for extra rage.

Always have your weapon loadout prepped in advance, and be ready to pull rockets in a hurry.

Have an escape plan if necessary (car nearby).

Send muggers on your enemies. Great for trolling and it will disorient the player briefly, esp. useful if you're pinned down by a sniper.

Wanted level = suicide. It's not worth trying to line up a shot when cops are shooting at you.

f*ck freemode hard asses. Killing innocent players because they suck and can't get honest kills.

If someone starts blasting me on freemode I f*ckem up a few times and leave.

If I want a dm which I play a lot of I go play a real rockstar made dm not those stupid ass parkour sh*ts made by 8 year old that op plays.

1.) Make sure to abuse passive mode as much as possible, only coming out of it when you know you're going to score the kill.

2.) Have the interaction menu open during firefights, and be ready to choose the easy way out if it looks like you're going to die.

3.) Place proximity mines inside of ammunation and other various shops. Easy kills, and you can simply go passive if the victim(s) choose to retaliate.

4.) While sniping, always do so in first person while moving back and forth like a spazz. Keep firing shots and eventually you'll hit your target.

5.) Familiarize yourself with various wall breaches and the like.

6.) Try to go after low level and/or AFK players.

7.) When things just aren't going your way, leave the session.

I hope you joking were trying to describe everything that's wrong with you freemode trolls...

"If all else fails, leave."

Wow. So after 10 minutes just leave the session so you won't "waste" more ammo.

Please Freemode Deathmatch fanatics....do NOT enter regular Deathmatches with that mentality---you will leave the teams unbalanced.
It's hard enough waiting for the god damn lobbies to fill with an even number of players. Don't need you guys starting to lose and then quitting cause you worried about "ammo spending".
Stick to that bull$hit bad habit in free mode, we don't need quitters or cost conscious individuals in our matches.
Fuggin free mode killers. Rarely take DM invites to begin with, and now I know why----
pussies need to make sure they can "quit" without any repercussions.
Not addressing you OP, just the people you speak of.

-Before getting into a warzone, have your weapons already shorted out and ready to fire;

-Always be on the move, but don't stay in the open,;

-Don't stay in cover for far too long either or your target will eventually come up with a strategy to get you;

-Lamar's Mugger and Merryweather Mercs can be great distractions, specially in sniper vs sniper battles;

-If somebody is at a rooftop getting easy kills and you can go underneath them, call for an Air strike, 9 times out of 10 they won't see it coming unless they are savy enough;

-If somebody is wiggling around with the marksmen rifle, just blow them up or get in cover, wait for them to come close and spray them(also applies to the assholes with invisible body parts);

-Wear a bulletproof helmet;

-Keep snacks and armor ready to use at your inventory;

-Car fu is not a good idea in auto aim servers;

-If all else fails you can always become a bitch and get in a jet.

1.) Make sure to abuse passive mode as much as possible, only coming out of it when you know you're going to score the kill.

2.) Have the interaction menu open during firefights, and be ready to choose the easy way out if it looks like you're going to die.

5.) Familiarize yourself with various wall breaches and the like.

6.) Try to go after low level and/or AFK players.

7.) When things just aren't going your way, leave the session.

And most importantly, don't be this guy. Edited by pedinhuh

Know your surroundings and which weapon to use for certain distances. I have about 90-95%(no 1 has the entire map memorized, a lot of hidden places) of the entire map memorized so I usually know what type of weapons to use. Also depending on your location, what you have on will either help or hurt you with being spotted.

Learn the map and know your surroundings.

I rarely fight but if I do I make sure to stay mobile constantly. Never ever camp. It's a surefire death sentence.

I tend not to flank directly but to move backwards and make my retreat line so I can get my enemy to move into a position I prefer and then I flank.

Also watch what your enemy is doing. You can tell their nature by watching their movement and listening to what they are firing and how often they shoot.

And don't be afraid to move forward fast and hard, some players can be completely dominated by aggressive attacking.

Who is innocent? afaik this thread is for players who enjoy pvp. These tips can also be useful for anyone looking to defend themselves. Also I know your comment was not directed at me, but I will say that I am in a TDM crew, I have played thousands of R* deathmatches, and I still engage in freemode combat. Not everyone who fights in freemode just goes around killing "innocent" players.

Just to try and add something I didn't see mentioned yet, try bringing a bike to the fight. You can use it to flank around quickly and set up a nice sniper shot or go ham with the marksman. Bikes are nice cause you don't waste too much time to get moving. Just hop on and go. It's great for jetting down alleys. When your enemy is busy scanning the map for you you've already pulled around and dropped a sticky on em.

Remember to use the right tool for the range. Be ready to switch to a shotgun when they get close to you. If see them hunker down right around the corner, try tossing a grenade just past it. You'll be surprised how often that works. Toss one up if they get the high ground on you too. You might get lucky and nail them and people always seem to forget about grenades. You have to be unpredictable and keep them on their toes.

Also remember to combat roll when caught in the open. That can save your ass in a pinch. As many have said, know the map and where the strategic points are for every battle, and keep on the move. It's not a shame to retreat to give yourself some time to prepare an ambush. If all fails and your getting owned, well, get the hell on out of there. You've met your match and no shame in retreating, especially if you weren't the one who started the fight.

A better question is why anyone would want to do so in the first place. I mean you are accepting 3-4x as long loading times by going public instead of invite only, plus spending god knows how much on insurance from blowing up PV's, (plus getting BS points) spending money on RPG's and homing missiles, sticky bombs, healthcare anytime you die, ammo, etc.

Instead, you could play invite only with your friends and either fight them or play a real death match and get paid to do it, rather than wasting thousands. I mean it's up to you obviously. I guess if you are tired of playing spawn trap death matches then learn how to grief in the Hydra, sounds like it would be right up your alley. I am assuming you have money to burn and can afford one if you are playing free roam "death matches". If not, maybe learn where all the wall breaches are or learn how to do god-mode glitches or something.

Calm down. All of us don't like to be restricted to 1 area like DM's are. If you like DM's then that is fine but don't rain on the next persons parade cause YOU have an issue with it.

That is true. The people I described are a separate group. But you know the people in talking about. The ones who just spam with a sniper or marksman firing random shots till they get lucky.

Yeah I'm talking about the out of this world high KDs. Yeah they probably are crappy players, but this means the account is modded. If it's modded, watch out for the all the cheats that can be modded into an account is all I'm saying. Even a noob can be dangerous with some of these cheats. Oh and btw unlimited combat rolls is another cheat I forgot mention.

I'm on ps4 btw

all modded stuff on ps4 got patched back in september.

run fast

no recoil

modded combat roll

unlimited snack/bodyarmors

all that doesnt work anymore

Last week I fought against a level 8000 who was spamming grenades with his grenade launcer much faster than normal. A friend told me that he encountered a level 8000 who wouldn't die. The guy stood still in his car while my friend was shooting at him with his rpg. He was certain it wasn't lag.

my advice is to GIT GUD. if you're a good sniper, good with explosives and jets you'll win most fights...

Choose the battleground. Let them chase you instead of you chasing them. I think this is a principle of Sun Tzu.

Still works ^_^

To some people bc their idiots. Me and my friends personally will not chase people if they want to run away. We wait for them to f*ck up.

-As I said before, don't take the fight to them whenever possible. Make a reason for them to come after you, for example starting a VIP Mission or Starting a high paying freemode event (criminal damage or pickups), prepare accordingly and strike. Make them chase you. They will be the first one to make a mistake in the situation you put them in.
-Use bounties to your advantage. You are marked with a red skull on the minimap. Therefore, it is hard for your enemies to know what vehicle you are in. So get inside a Rhino or a Hydra or any heavy arms vehicle (unless they are smart and know the vehicle spawns). This will allow you to repeatedly annihilate them.
-Use the map features against them. Hide under subways, over buildings, inside stores and secret passageways. The knowledge of the map, combined with the use of sticky bombs and proximity mines work wonders.
-In Piracy Prevention VIP Job, start planting sticky bombs on the Tails of the helicopters. Blow up the helicopters when they get on it. But try to message them when they get inside it and tell them about it at the last second.
-Weapons for the right situations.
-AP Pistol is the best weapon to use while inside a car
-Assault Shotgun is best on close range.
-Carbine is very accurate and can easily get headshots, though not so powerful.
-Combat MG is very powerful, 4 rounds to the body is enough to kill and has decent range.
-RPG is very good against players taking cover and Grenade Launchers
-Homing Missile is a distraction against jets while you use heavy sniper to damage the engine.
- Heavy Sniper and Marksman Rifle are strong on wide open areas (sandy shores, airfields, beaches)

-Rock Paper Scissors Analogy on Armored Vehicles
-Tanks > Insurgent pickups
-Insurgent pickups > Jets and Light Vehicles
-Jets > Tanks (sometimes insurgent pickups are good matchups if you can divebomb perfectly, mostly skill dependent)
-Mors Mutual + Super Cars > Jets, Tanks and everything

-Try to go for Head-shots as much as possible.

Yeah but there's plenty of people who are extra brave when it's two or three of them chasing one guy. Those people, mmm their tears are delicious! Lol
