Online population is dropping

Should have titled the thread "Online population seems to be dropping".

 

 

It seems like fewer people are playing the game. The population seems to have gone down especially over the last three weeks.

Races ive been hosting have been 20+ strong the last few weeks has been very busy

I've played this game solidly since its release. I've bought the game 3 times for PS3 and 3 times for PS4, and I just don't want to play it anymore. It certainly isn't burnout, as I would very much like to play he game. The people I have befriended over the years are not playing as often; usually playing World of Tanks, COD, destiny, etc...which are more entertaining.

 

GTA might very well be doing great, but the cracks are starting to show, as your experience can attest to.

Stale and repetitive DLCs and unimaginative game modes are the bread and butter of stale and unimaginative people.

You should play Risk online. It's like real life. No one wants to play and when you finally find a game. One of us ends up rage quitting.

This, for sure. Pretty sure gtao's biggest day yet was because of all the amazeballs stuff from E&OC update.

I'm not surprised. The game is getting older and GTA VI will probably be announced in 3 years time.

 

Back when I actually used to play the game for hour-long periods of time, I met people who I had met 4 times already previously, so I know the popularity of this game is decreasing day by day.

Do you know GTA ONLINE is mean to be standalone mmo game? Whenever GTAVI is out in years or decades... GTA Online will stay with big updates including graphics if it's what it takes.

I don't know if the player population has decreased, increased or more or less stayed the same. But i strongly suspect the amount of playing time per person has decreased due to frustration with technical issues and a lack of content added to the game.

 

Everyone I know who still plays the game plays it a lot less than they used to.

Even when I'm bored, my VIP timer has run out, there are no freemode events to do, there are no decent missions or heists on offer, and hardly anyone I like is online... I still prefer GTA online to every other game - it's that good and any impressions that the game is dying or fading out are wrong.

Seems just to be you mate, or those who like yourself have friends who are playing other games more than Gta V.

 

I have had a drop in friends playing but there is always at least 5-10 friends playing Gta V.
