Online population is dropping

It seems like fewer people are playing the game. The population seems to have gone down especially over the last three weeks.

Nope my friends list always 30+ online tho. I see full lobbies almost all the time. Heists are always full that i got forced onto missions instead. Pretty much the same

No. Everyone who believes this tell us first what type of internet speed/connection you have and what you're playing on. Do you have ports open? What's your NAT?

 

I remember when I had a 3-4 Mbps there was a lot more chance of me joining a small lobby.

I believe it will drop considerably starting next week if R* doesn't release a relatively thorough DLC.

A DLC that has more than just a few low rider conversion cars, because with all the bugs that come with Benny's content, people do learn.

Otherwise R* will be losing some players to The Division & of course Fallout 4 considering the epic DLC that's about to be released for it.

 

As of right now, the 2x events draw enough attention.

There's no big drop in players.

i can say that for a game that is almost 3 years old, gtao is doing great.

 

i have seen newer games get "abandoned" by their community while gtao still strong.

I'm not surprised. The game is getting older and GTA VI will probably be announced in 3 years time.

 

Back when I actually used to play the game for hour-long periods of time, I met people who I had met 4 times already previously, so I know the popularity of this game is decreasing day by day.

i can say that for a game that is almost 3 years old, gtao is doing great.

 

I agree, this game really survived the test of time. On XB1, the store shows the most played games on the console, and GTA V is comfortably sitting in the top 5 behind Call of Duty and NBA 2K, games that always hold the top 2 or 3 spots in any given year. I can't vouch for PS4's most played games, but one can assume that the top 5 is just about the same. It really goes to show how many people still play the game to this day on the CG consoles. I don't have many friends playing this game anymore (half of them Netflix/Hulu-and-Chill), but I never have a problem finding a loaded freemode lobby.

I fear for reading comprehension. Record breaking sales the second week of February, with an article to back up the statement... Meanwhile the article is dated February 4th, and mentions record breaking Holiday sales... I didn't know the peak for Holiday sales or February 4th occurs during the second week of February... umm,yeah...

 

Anyways the steam numbers look pretty good. Especially for a game that's been out this long without any major expansions.
