X S
I've been having this issue for the past 2 weeks. Every time I quote someone, it shifts all the text down about 2 lines. I'm not sure what's causing it, but I haven't added any new plugins to Firefox. The only way to fix it is by editing my posts, because it doesn't show up until after I post. Here's what it looks like: Holy crap, I didn't even quote someone and look! My post is shifted down two lines! Halp!

Uncle Sikee Atric
Tried Chrome ?I would say try a different Browser for starters as a test. Even IE / Edge just as a concept and to eliminate other issues in your settings. I will try my Firefox / Nightly tonight. I have not detected an issue myself so it could well be a rogue setting in your Firefox. If that is the case, a reset of the settings will fix it. X S
Yeah, it's probably the browser, but I was just curious to see if anyone else had the problem. I'll try using Chrome for a while.
Andreaz1
I'm also on Firefox and I've never had this problem. Do you have all the verious latest updates for the browser itself and all the plugins? I think it's interesting that while your post is downshifted two lines those two lines don't show up as I try quoting that post.
X S
Yes, I always keep my Firefox updated. It's the oddest thing. I'm posting from Chrome at the moment. Weird part is that it's a bit intermittent. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
Uncle Sikee Atric
Did you transfer your bookmarks and settings across from somewhere else when you started using Chrome?
Kirsty
Are you using Adblocker or any other browser extensions?
X S
Well, I've been using Chrome for the past 2 days, and it has no extensions whatsoever. So either it's some sort of extension on Firefox, or my Firefox is just bugged. I guess I'll just narrow it down from here on out. Thanks guys. What's your OS? Version of FF? Extensions you are using?
GTA3Rockstar
Even if it does that, it's not that big of a deal.
Solution X S Posted March 18, 2016 Author Solution Share Posted March 18, 2016 Discovered the culprit: an extension called "Yet another smooth scrolling" that essentially added some spring and bounce into the browser's scrolling behavior. I can live without it. Uncle Sikee Atric
