Because using the game mechanics to your own advantage when others are too stubborn to use it totally ruins the game. Logic?

Quite a number of serious racers actually agree that it shouldn't be a thing despite being active users of the glitch. Broughy is one of the more prolific examples.

 

But of course, knowing the GTA community and gaming communities in general, some people would definitely go on a QQ rage.

 

Here here, I am one of them. I use it but I think it shouldn't be a thing, it's sh*t.

 

Same here. It forces me to take really weird and awkward lines in between streetlights, trees, etc. I'd rather have them patch it honestly, but at the same time, I don't mind it much if they don't do anything about it.
