Turismo's secret

So i have a friend who uses a Turismo in NoDo races. He let me borrow it but i noticed it handles better and it almost never understeers.

Just keep the suspension stock with a spoiler. It makes the car more stable and handles faster than putting a custom suspension. Makes it better for races than a T20 at tight tracks.

I wonder about the other cars that tails a lot like the 9F or the Comet if they can perform better without the competitive suspensions

The Turismo has a slight tendency to oversteer though, but it's definitely my go-to car for the supers class.

One thing I keep hearing people complain about is that it can't go over curbs, but I don't ever encounter that (I use stock suspension on all my cars) unless I respawn during a race. That's normally what causes the car to never be able to go over curbs.

As for the Comet and 9F, they're pretty not that good compared to the Turismo when you take suspension out of the equation. For me, it's a definite must for the Comet to have a suspension upgrade (preferably the max) while the 9F can hold it's own without a suspension upgrade, but you'd probably be able to handle it better with at least sports suspension.

Then again, it's all down to how you drive. I like cars that oversteer more as it fits my driving style.

Psssss its not any secret:) weve been talking about how the Turismo responds best to stock spring and off roads for years. You aren't goint to beat a t20 unless you have it setup right.

Cheers for the heads up. My turismo has max suspension. Will change it back to stock and see how she rides tonight.

looks like its not a secret anymore...

Still I'm not trading that for my T20 or Osiris, never.

for that look,it oversteers a bit much.It used to be unable to go over curbs when it was just released but they fixed it.I don't really have much knowledge about car mechanics but this what I see about my Turismo

It's really good, since it is easier to be consistent with. BUT it won't beat the top tiers with a consistent driver.

It's just a general thing: lower suspension options cause more understeer. On some cars that's an improvement, on others you want the oversteer. As for offroad tires, they just soften bumps more than the other options, making you more consistent but definitely not faster

hmmm...I might try this on the Rapid GT and the Blade then, those are beuatiful cars but I can't stand the understeer of them.

I hope this will improve them.

I never "upgrade" suspension, all it seems to do is make cars soak bumps worse.

I'm not a particular fan of the Turismo R just because RWD.

Curb issue with the Turismo only occurs when driving slow from what im aware of, going fast over curbs rarely causes issues.

Most if not all cars with stock suspension handle better. No secret.

I've had a Comet since the early days and it's my opinion the car handles better with a lesser suspension. Mostly because it gives a little more when cruising over curbs and bumps, so the back end does not pop out on you as much. The steering is already pretty good on the Comet, so you don't really need to go full blown on the suspension in my book. I've had more success racing in the Comet on 1st or 2nd level suspension then the full. Not sure about the Turismo or 9F though.

It wasn't really a secret as much as it was a test for stupid players to fail.

"My Turismo hits curbs now that I lowered the suspension all the way. Guess I have to sell it now" instead of just raising it one or two levels. Visually and performance-wise there is barely a difference.

Also worked for the Merryweather Mesa:

"My Mesa has a high center of gravity and tips over if I drive like a moron. Guess I have to sell it now. Wait?! I can't sell it?!*" instead of lowering it just one or two levels. Again, visually there is hardly a difference.

*=If you acquired Mesas for free back in the day you could not, and still can not, sell them and had to replace them with another vehicle.

That's fine as you don't see it as a problem. It's a fail to those that see that as a problem and can't figure out how to fix it.

Wouldn't it be better if you don't hit the kerbs and then its not an issue. Drive on the road. Don't give me it's hard to miss the kerbs, I don't hit them and I'm rubbish.

Because using the game mechanics to your own advantage when others are too stubborn to use it totally ruins the game. Logic?

Don't blame the players, blame the game developer or yourself.
