Did it start as early as October? I remember it starting in December. And I was victimized by only receiving 500 million. I've never been a billionaire but I've been rich ever since.

the billionaires era was already rolling in october, got more wild in november and reached it peak in december where you were guanteed to receive a few millions by entering any public lobby, i became a billionaire in the first week of november, between receiving modded money and claiming a few billion dollar bounties.

 

in the end there was so much money going around that whenever i claimed a multimillion dollar bounty, i simply share it with the lowest levels in the session.

 

it was pure madness!

As a simple millionaire, its quite obvious there is no fun to be had here anymore. I can't even compete. If only I could say I could buy a bunch of the SAME DAMN CAR a bunch of arbitrary times... My e-peen remains awestruck and permanently hidden. It's such a shame...I will just see myself out...

I usually sit between 20-25 million. When I exceed 25 million it tends to coincide with new DLC and I buy everything up. For a couple of weeks after that I earn back my millions until I'm just above 25 again, and then I stop playing until Rockstar gives me a reason to.

 

I like it this way. I'm not super rich and I still conserve cash. I have empty spaces in each garage for future DLC and there are Pegasus aircraft I choose not to spend money on (5 seat velum, gold aircraft, or the Volito since its on my yacht anyways) but otherwise I own every other Pegasus vehicle.

 

I was a billionaire in the early days, before the money wipe, and it destroyed the game. No sense of accomplishment or pride in my work. After the wipe I had 400k. I've enjoyed the "grind" since.

 

To the OP, it doesn't take too long to amass a fortune. This game throws money at you now. If you play two hours a day you can easily get over a million in a week. It's the spending you need to limit. Save two million, spend one. Save another two, spend another one. You'll be past my meager 20 mil if you do it long enough.

Agreed, those were pretty epic times. I was playing with a friend who also received several hundred million and that's when we started using an unlimited amount of sticky bombs. Having all the money in the world wasn't boring at all.

It always used to be money going out, now there's always money coming in.

 

I never worry about about money now, I never worried about money then.

 

Not a biilionaire, but I have everything I want. I like helping people out these days. Sharing my VIP money and taking 0% on my Pac-Standard finale (unless someone runs theirs.)

 

I grinded enough to be where I want. Money is easy to make...I wasnt around for billionaire days. I never got handed more than what I earned.

I'm not a billionaire either and actually have under 10 million in the bank, but I feel I live like a billionaire I have everything I want in the game.

 

I go around blowing up what I want in Freeroam not worrying about insurances. I just find doing all the Freeroam events and a few VIP missions maybe some heists I keep my balance pretty much the same. I'm on pc so if I find myself needing some more money for dlc I just find a script kiddie to drop some money bags on me.

Totally agree with. For every mil I end up spending I at least saved 2 mil. I got 20+ mil legit and that feels more than enough. I got some good 18 - 20 cars over 3 apartments and that feels like a lot to me already.

To earn a money in to the game is not that hard, but the thing is, that even if you have the whole money of the world, there still be nothing worthful to buy with them... The Online still lack of an mature content to play it or buy it...

I have $50millon legit cash and I'm still thrifty mofo.

 

I'm always attempting freemode events, always selling NPC cars and I still just play the game as if I'm broke to a certain extent.

 

This gives me the ability to drop mad cash on DLCs content without a worry.

I do that as well. People say that the events take too long. 90% of the time people on PC ignore the events. It took me 3 minutes to fly a few miles and land a chopper for 10k. No one even bothered following me.

 

And I always sell the calvacade or the dubsta ,they both fetch 7k I think and they spawn pretty frequently

So how do you guys live? Compared to the average grinder you guys are like kings lucky basterds.

You consider it luck while some of us consider it an investment in entertainment that came full circle.

 

I bought the game for XBox 360 and I bought three Shark Cards, early on, when everyone made fun of people for buying them.

Then, I upgraded to an XBox One, so I bought the game a second time.

My sons bought a PS4, so I got him a copy for one of them on his birthday.

 

And I grinded my fingers to blisters playing this game to make money! It's all about saving it, not spending it.

Then, at the end of the day, everyone is just there to blow stuff up, anyway. It doesn't really matter what car you drive.

 

But, now, I play the way the game SHOULD be played - no worrying.

Funny, even though money isn't a concern, I still grind like a maniac, as that's the way you play it.

It's simple and I enjoy the game much the way I enjoyed all other iterations of GTA, before it.

 

Of course, if you spend all your time in Free Roam, then you're going to have a $0 balance in one night.

 

Still, I encourage my sons that if they want what I have, they need to either grind or save up for Shark Cards.

They do both and enjoy the game almost as much as I do.

 

The way I justify it is that I've put so much real money into this company, it's okay to ride for a while until it's gone. And that will be a long time from now!

And not for nothing, it's nice to be able to just hop in a Hydra and go to one of my yachts whenever I feel like it.

Rank 400, 70 million career legit, Got pushed too many times into bad sport so I said f*ck IT and started over again with new email and account.

It was a fresh new experience starting over with nothing, No car, only one pistol. Saw the GTA world thru new eyes once again
