Hello All

 

I'm finding Team Deathmatch is not what it used to be.

 

I remember Back in the PS3/360 days, I would come home from work at 10pm and easily find a good group on 12+ steady players and play for 3-4 hours of "Real" TDM What's Real, you ask? Mainly Rockstar maps, 15m, Target Score Off, Owned&Pick-up. It was great fun :colgate:

 

 

Then the 10000RP$2000000$$$ maps started(slowly) I hated these maps with a passion and despised the players who believed the title. That and overall, your just smashing circle or B....thats it. I found them boring and stupid as hell.

 

Then after, what, a year I guess, Rockstar banned putting $$$ in your title and someone came up with the word parkour, same $hit.

 

To this day, this is what 90% are playing, oh and RING FIGHT

 

It's so hard to start a real deathmatch, I always have to start small maps because Getaway, BioLab ect.. are not gonna happen. When I do click Join Deathmatch, It's ether Parkour or Ring Fight

 

 

 

TDM is really dieing(if not dead already)

You want Deathmatches play a FPS. GTA is more about free roam.

 

On second thought, free roam is actually turning into an FPS. Noooooooooo!

I don't even do deathmatches anymore unless it's something like RnG or Senora Airstrip. With all of the dumb parkour spawn traps with false titles and bullsh*t spawns, I can't take them seriously. Why can we not have an option to keep player blips shown? Let's face it, who the f*ck wants to go against someone in fight when they can't see their opponent until they get gunned down from behind? Especially with the bullshark testosterone (which spawns by itself that you can't disable), quad damage ability when you're losing, half health and twice damage when you're winning, and hide blips when you're losing. What happened to a good old fair deathmatch?

I was never a fan of DM. For the lower level player it's a way to get unfav KDR you will regret later on. I hate DM where I can't use all of my weapons or find places to camp so can fight my way.

 

I do like high paying DM like everything vs everything as silly as these are.

Deathmatches died when they f*cked up free aim lobbies and when they brought in that stupid "blip system" feature where your blip would appear on enemy's radar even if you are somewhere far from them and hidden behind an object.I dislike auto-aim deathmatches because it's too easy to get accurate shots.With those patches,they ruined free-aim servers and I gave up.Since then,lobbies are ghost towns.I remember,we used to do great deathmatches with +12 people.Such fun it was...

Those good old days,GOLDEN DAYS OF THIS GAME! For me,deathmatches are MUCH MORE fun than races but like I said,they ruined deathmatches. I remember,when I was at home at night,I receive good and "real" deathmatch map invites such as I mentionned above.They were like, every single different colour of rainbow, I enjoyed joining them and having fun with people,with a glass of whiskey and chips. I wish it was still the same...

 

I also made some deathmatches using Content Creator and I think,they are worth considering.But you know,when it comes to verify user created content,Rockstar is unrivaled on selecting the most stupid ones like Battle GTA and Classy Construction

That's the problem with holding the KDR stat as important in this game. You can buy a Hydra and go around killing players minding their own business in freemode to get it as high as you want, so it's very easily manipulated. High KDRs never impress me, if they are too high, I would suspect you as a cheater or a griefer.

 

If players are afraid of lowering their KDR by playing deathmatches, or tactically asymmetrical adversary modes, or capture-holds where you have to fight from a tactically inferior position to steal packages to win the match, then they are cowards and aren't even playing, much less playing to win. Such cowards are basically playing a dumbed-down version of this game.

I feel bad for genuinely liking ring fights.. Fists only, love it. I play any DM because it's just funny, but yeah it's painfully obvious that most are poorly constructed and easy to manipulate.. Though that is why I like fist fights. Everyone is level pegging (if you don't get stuck with modders or invisi-pricks).

 

I barely ever receive invitations to R* maps :/ so I take what I can get.

* nothing wrong with beating people up on GTA Online, God knows everyone deserves it.

 

They kind of removed one of the nails from the coffin when they added that filter so I've been playing them a lot more recently. Don't blame people for sticking with freedom mode though. Less restrictions, more variables, pays better etc

The fun player made Deathmatches that preceded all the glitch crap were awesome,I bookmarked many ,like inside the FIB,and also some high up were so funny,as you fell to your death etc.Many other at landmarks across LS,but can't get enough players to join,so sad...
