Free roam. I was running from a 3 star and I jumped a river and was immediately hit by an RPG. No other player was anywhere near me.

Free roam. I was running from a 3 star and I jumped a river and was immediately hit by an RPG. No other player was anywhere near me.

You probably could come up with a better example of that than clearly fictional monsters that are only "seen" by crazy people and hucksters.

 

Anyway, I'm going to go out on a limb after playing this game for 2 1/2 years and say, no, it didn't happen. Something else happened and he was confused. Car blew itself up due to a bad landing; NPC jet was mad and took him out; another player was in the lobby without him realizing - something like that. I've slaughtered tens of thousands of cops, blown up their cars and helicopters, and even been chased by a cop driving a tractor once - but I never saw one pull out an RPG. It just doesn't happen.

But what if I experienced some extra-ordinary sh*t on GTA Online, which would probably never happen again, but I didn't have a phone or camera on me? I'll go onto the forums saying that this is what happened, but I couldn't take pics at the time. That automatically means my experience never happened, even though it did?

 

I mean, I don't believe the OP as well, but I'm not saying he's a complete liar either. However, since cops don't have RPGs, it's safe to say that OP blew up from something else.

I sometimes put on the cop outfit, then go ghost organisation or off radar as i approach a player for the kill, just for laughs really, always catches them off guard as I pull out the rocket launcher or carbine rifle and they cant react before its too late. Maybe this is what happened to you.

This happened to me tonight as well (ps4).

 

Heading for the dinghy in Pac Stan final. I crashed into a civilian car and it exploded. Two other cars I drove past also exploded, all while surrounded by cops and hellicopters.

 

Didn't hear any rocket sounds, just big f.o explosions.

 

Edit: I took the route through the hills, other 3 players were miles away and followed the GPS route in their karoooma.

 

It's a bug.

That has happened to me as I was requesting a car. Had no stars or anything. I was on the motorway leading up to the Base, though. I then had to go through that cooldown timer because of that.
