Finally after a long seven month wait, the new Diamond Casino DLC for GTA Online is here! And there are plenty of cool new cars to look at, so here are my opinions on the new cars as well as whether they will appear in Liberty City or not.

Ubermacht Zion Classic

200?cb=20190723230355

Hey! This looks familiar, well not really. So Rockstar's take on the Zion Classic is a BMW M6 E24, which is basically the later version of the E9 3.0 CSI that my Zion Classic is based off of. So you could call this the Zion Retro. It's design isn't much different from it's real world counterpart so it is drop dead gorgeous to look at. This is probably my favorite vehicle of the update, since you all know I have a soft spot for early "shark nose" BMW's. So is this coming to IV? You bet it is! ;)

Bravado Gauntlet Classic

200?cb=20190723230521

Yet another car the Online community has been wanting forever, including me. Obviously it's a '70 Dodge Challenger with some very subtle changes, which seems to be very common with the cars in this update. Not that that is a complaint, as the Challenger is one of my all time favorite muscle cars next to the 442 and Falcon XB. This my second favorite car of the update, so this will be coming to Liberty City soon!

Vulcar Nebula Turbo

200?cb=20190723230358

Yes! An old boxy Volvo! I didn't expect this to be in this update to be honest but here it is. It seems to be intended to be a rally car as it has the mudflaps, windscreen banner, and "turbo fans" of a 80's rally car. With some tweaks it can be made into a stock version very easily. There is also possibility for a 4-door or even a wagon to be made from this model. As for converting, GCT has his eye on this one so he'll be converting this to IV.

Annis S80RR

200?cb=20190723230559

Another good car from this update. Similar to the RE-6B this is a mishmash of various LM Prototype cars. Unlike the similar RE-6B, this is better looking and is a proper single seater! I like this car quite a bit, and would like to bring to LC as a fun toy to rip up the streets and scare pedestrians. So a IV convert is a strong possibility.

Enus Paragon R

200?cb=20190723230236

Yet again we get a car in this update that we should have gotten on day one. This is obviously based on the latest and greatest Bentley Continental GT and is a LOT better than the hideous Cognoscenti Cabrio. It's a quite attractive mix of Bentley with a BMW M4 front bumper, and AMG Mercedes taillights. I'm not the biggest Bentley fan, but I do like this car. It would be a cool addition to the Business District of Algonquin, so this is a definite maybe for conversion.

Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire

200?cb=20190723230556

Well we got a classic Challenger, so naturally we would get the modern Challenger to go with it. This is based on the famous 800HP Challenger Demon with the aggressive stance and widebody, which is a pretty obvious choice seeing how popular the Demon is right now. The design itself has some tweaks from the real car and it seems they put some '70 'Cuda in the front. It's a very cool car and they haven't ruined the badass look of the real Demon. GCT has called dibs on this car as well, and is planning to modify it to a more stock appearance. I'm not sure if he'll convert the default Hellfire as well but we'll have to see.

Weeny Dynasty

200?cb=20190723230400

I'm getting flashbacks to the Cheburek with this car. It's another car you wouldn't expect in a massively popular game made by a big company, but I'm very happy they did it once again. It can be argued if this is the Morris Oxford or the Hindustan Ambassador which are basically the same car, except the latter is the long running Indian made version of the original Oxford. With the inclusion of taxi modifications available in LSC, I'm going to say it's supposed to be the Ambassador. I really liked the Cheburek and loved converting it, so I want to do this car. So expect to see this little guy in Liberty City.

Annis Hellion

200?cb=20190723230601

Another surprising addition in this DLC. Apparently in the UAE there is a trend of taking old Nissan Patrols and modifying them with huge Hellion (hence the name) turbos that make 1000, 2000, and even 3000 horsepower and drag racing up sand dunes with them. There are mods at LSC that feature these enormous turbos which may explain why the Patrol made it into this DLC. At first glance I thought this was Rockstar's version of a Jeep Cherokee XJ, which I happen to actually own a 2-door XJ. But when I got a closer look it looks more like a Nissan Patrol with a Cherokee front. I haven't really decided if I like this mash up or not. As a XJ Cherokee owner, I would have put more XJ Cherokee in the design personally. GCT is a big fan of this car and he is going to convert it and turn it into a 4-door, which honestly will look a lot better and match the proportions. So I'm anxious to see how that will turn out.

Obey 8F Drafter

200?cb=20190723230655

Now we're starting to get into the cars that I'm not so impressed with, and will start with the apparent successor to the Tailgater. It looks to be a Audi RS5 Coupe with the front of a Ford Fusion with a Shelby GT350 front bumper. Interesting combination of designs here, and I'm not the biggest fan of it honestly. I really believe this car should have been a 4-door with a different front design, maybe something more like the 9F. That's just my opinion though as I know a lot of people like this car, including GCT. He said he was thinking of converting it to IV, so keep an eye out on his workshop for that.

Lampadati Novak

200?cb=20190723230516

I think I'm getting the same feeling as I did with the Toros. I don't like the real Levante, and I'm not digging this design either. But again, GCT says he's interested in this for conversion. So you may see this in Liberty City.

Progen Emerus

200?cb=20190723230316

Wow shocker, a Senna made into a GTA online DLC. Nobody saw that coming! 😛 To be serious I like the real Senna, it's an amazing car with a very cool name. It is also the poster car for the critically acclaimed Forza Horizon 4. (How a strictly track focused car is the poster car for an open road racing game is beyond me) This GTA version however is a bit underwhelming if I'm honest, and I not a fan of the extremely squinty headlights and mostly bland look this car has. I may just be getting jaded to GTA Supercar design, or supercar design in general. Simply put, this is a pass for conversion.

Ocelot Jugular

200?cb=20190723230439

So another car gets a name from the old 2D era GTA. However the original Jugular was a Mercedes 300SL, which we got with the Stirling GT. This seems to be based on a Jaguar Project 8, which is a factory modified Jaguar XE. The real Project 8 is cool and is actually a very fast car. This GTA version isn't as cool to look at as it's real world equivalent. The front looks rather large, and I'm not a fan of the bolt on fender flares which is not what the real car has. I'm not interested in this unfortunately, so this is another pass. If it was a normal XE to start AND THEN could be modified into a Project 8, then I would be more interested.

Vapid Peyote Gasser

200?cb=20190723230635

I don't know were this came from, but someone at Rockstar wanted to have a gasser style Peyote. It's cool I guess but I'm not a big fan of Gasser cars, it really takes the right car to make a good looking Gasser to me. (55 Chevy) So it's cool, but I'd rather spend times on all new cars instead so it's a pass.

Vysser Neo

200?cb=20190723230320

A Spyker, didn't see that coming. It looks to have some Aston Martin Rapide in the front, but the rest is definitely a Spyker. It's not a bad looking car, but I think I would have preferred the original C8 over the Aileron. It is cool to see Rockstar highlighting a rather unknown super car maker, specifically with an all new brand in game. That said, I'm not really interested in it for IV. Pass.

Vapid Caracara 4x4

200?cb=20190723230638

So Rockstar can fix mistakes! The original was a weird 6x6 machine gun turret thing, this is actually quite respectable. However GCT already did a 4x4 conversion of the original Caracara as the T-Rex so I have no interest in this. Pass.

Weeny Issi Sport

200?cb=20190723230441

Okay, so this is basically a rally version of the standard Issi? The design looks way different though from the original. That said I don't really like it, I'll stick with the Issi Classic. Pass.

Truffade Thrax

200?cb=20190723230233

Really, another Bugatti? This is a pass. Can I have a Type 35 instead?

Pegassi Zorrusso

200?cb=20190723230437

Another supercar that I don't care about. Honestly it's okay, and with some major mods you could make a Aventador from it. Pass.

Ocelot Locust

200?cb=20190723230519

Hey Rockstar, you gave us the wrong Lotus. Pass.

Benefactor Kreiger

200?cb=20190723230318

So we can have a Project One, but not a CLK GTR? Okay then, I'll pass.

Rampant Rocket

200?cb=20190723230640

Ha ha ha ha! Nope.

And that's all of the new cars from the DLC covered. After the huge muscle car fest we got in Arena Wars there was some good variety in this DLC, for better or worse. I'm actually impressed with how good all of the models were in this DLC. While some of the designs themselves aren't to my liking, most of the models are well done and have nice details. I'd say Rockstar did well this time, and I'm curious to see what will be next, if there is another DLC that is. As always, feel free to share your opinions on the DLC as I always like reading them. Keep checking the workshop page for progress on conversions of the Gaunlet Classic, Zion Classic, Dynasty, and S80RR. And be sure to check GCT's workshop as well, as he is converting quite a few cars from this DLC too.

I'm impressed with the vehicles in this update too. The vehicle quality improved drastically in this and the last update. Something must have shifted in the design ranks, and it resulted in some excellent vehicles.

Yes please do these 2 first, well I mean the Zion Classic should be the first....or better said Zion Retro ;)

Finally Thunder gave his verdict on what car he wanted to convert to IV! If I must say, the Paragon should be more than a "maybe". R* redeem themselves by making something modern that makes sense in the styling department, which is very uncommon.

The Jugular and Issi sport are very missed opportunity. The design has potential but they decided to ruin it by turning it into customized cars by default. I would prefer to see someone do a stock reincarnation of both cars since LC doesn't have an Ocelot sedan in their lineup as well as a modern Weeny (come on, LC is a perfect place to own a Mini Cooper).

Well, the Paragon is a "definite maybe" which means it will likey be converted after the other cars. LC does need a proper Bentley.

Certainly didn't expect you to be interested in the LMP car, Thunder. Mainly because I remember you saying that LC isn't precisely a friendly environment for very fast cars... one of the reasons I think you kept the Progen GP1 unreleased.

I did say that, but I still ended up converting the Entity XXR anyway.

The GP1 mainly got cancelled because of the signature Mclaren butterfly doors. When the doors open like that it messes up the handling, and the car just feels weird. Apparently the butterfly doors glitch the collisions for the doors and makes the car feel top heavy. If you drive the T20, you may notice this.

I despise Paragon's headlights. The bottom bumper also looks weird. Other than that, I like a lot of the cars in this DLC.

It's not a rally version of the standar Issi, the standard Issi is a 2007 Mini Hatch, this one is a modified Mini Countryman, I would love to see a stock one in LC as @unbid said.

Someone's making a sedan and/or a wagon out of the Nebula! My prayers are finally answered.

The quality of the cars this update is almost as good with IV. But they still have a habit of making illogical design decisions (eg. the Jugular and the Dynasty have no rear quarter glass; how do the windows roll down?)

Unfortunately no, the file size on the model is already over 800kb. I will do some optimization so it's slightly lower than that, but the T/A splitter and the two spoiler options will be all I can use.

Thanks for bringing us this beauty to LC, Master Raiden!

Those wheels gave it the perfect touch and that side marks, oof, simply one of the best cars of this DLC. Such a missed opportunity with the lack of hood designs though. Hopefully R* will change that in the future.
