I had a ton of fun to working on this project, as it was nice to make something all new for the game again. Those converts can get boring after a while. 😛 Thanks to you for creating that sketch for me and inspiring me to do this car in the first place. Your design was perfect and I think you'll make an epic concept artist! Hopefully the stock Zion Classic will go just as well, and you'll be seeing that in game soon. Thundersmacker 6,087 Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) Hey did you guys miss me? Eh, probably not. But I bet you were wanting to see how the stock Zion Classic was coming along. Well, it's coming along very well. The big bulk of the work on the car is done. All that is left to do is some small refinements and the LOD's. Nico 3,561 Posted September 19, 2018 I did miss you. Quite a lot, actually. And I feared that you would make a comeback sometime, but instead of showing a beautiful car, you would say something among the lines of "Guys, I retire from modding". The car looks nice. It reminds me of past times, many years ago, when I spent Saturdays with an old friend of mine playing GTA IV with some car mods. One of them being precisely a BMW 3.0 CSL that worked and looked great. I can only wish you took my advice of putting badges on the pillars though, I think the road car needs it, but it's fine by me if you don't want them. Claude_Lib 3,586 Posted December 13, 2018 (edited) So sad to see this thread die, so here are the files from the latest DLC: [removed - no sharing of original game files, sorry!] Among lots of silly creations, like Stubby Bob (yeah, like the FlyWheels one, but it's official now) and Glendale limo on a chassis from Linerunner or something like that, obviously inspired by Mad Max, there are several gems in there, you should really check it out. Thundersmacker 6,087 Posted December 13, 2018 This workshop ain't dead, just dormant. I've been busy at work and have been playing RDR 2 and Forza Horizon 4 in my free time, so obviously modding a now 10 year old game isn't a priority. That said, this new update has brought back some interest in going back to good ol' Liberty City. Thanks Claude for sharing those files, I'll have a look at them this weekend. Hopefully you'll be seeing my thoughts on the new DLC soon, and maybe some new mods aswell. Stay tuned.

It doesn't to me, but you can't deny that interest in IV modding is pretty much non existant in the online community now. It's pretty much just me, GCT, JoeVK, Jinx, and Jeansowaty having any interest in IV. While I mostly make mods for me, the community on here factors into my motivation as well. And I know that most of the interest in my mods now, is people who are just wanting to see the modified cars converted to GTA V. I don't hold it against anyone for doing that, technically GTA V is a better game. IV is a pain to get working right, and has many limitations that do kill alot of fun ideas. Thundersmacker 6,087 Posted December 16, 2018 (edited) Well a new update for GTA Online is out, and that means it's time for me to give my 2 cents on the new cars included in the DLC. There is quite a lot of vehicles in this update, so be prepared for a long post. Declasse Impaler My favorite vehicle of the update hands down. The Impaler is a '67 Impala with a '67 Chevelle rear and the blend of the two works beautifully. The only tiny compliant I have about it is the name, it's a nod to the Impaler from GTA 1 but it's not the most creative name ever. As for as converting goes, GCT is converting this and he has a "Supernatural" 4-door version also planned. Vapid Imperator Hell yeah! It's the "Last of the V8 Interceptors" from the Mad Max series, and this one is based on the Pursuit Special from the first movie. While the official Mad Max game got the Road Warrior/Fury Road wasteland version of the car, it's awesome to have the clean road going version. There are obviously some design changes but it still has the same badass look as the real thing, now all we need is a Ecto-1 and a good Christine analogue and pretty much every famous movie car will be in GTA V. I am a big fan of this car and it's real counterpart, so a conversion to IV (and maybe a stock version) would be a real possibility. You'll just have to see. Declasse Vamos Another awesome muscle car in this update! Obviously it's a Chevy Nova, in fact it's almost a carbon copy of the real car. But that's not a complaint in the slightest, I've always liked the design of the '70 Nova so I'm glad they didn't change it too much. GCT is also going to convert this one, so I can't wait to get this beauty onto the streets of Liberty with the Impaler and Tulip. After he finishes his convert I may take it and make a beater version as a homage to one of my favorite movies "Beverly Hills Cop". Declasse Tulip Rockstar sure is giving the Chevy muscle cars some love in this update and this is the last one, a 4-door '71 Chevelle. There is a bit of '70 Monte Carlo influence in there and a '71 Oldmsobile Cutlass taillight design, so it's a lot like the Sabre GT in which it's mix of GM muscle cars. I do like the idea of it being a 4-door as these type of muscle cars don't get much love period. The last 4-door muscle car in a game that I remember is the Bootlegger from Saints Row 3 and 4. As I mentioned in my Vamos post GCT is converting this car as well, with plans to make a 2-door version. Schyster Deviant Holy moly! It's a AMC Javelin! Not only that, it's the epic resto-mod built by the Ring Brothers. Apparently someone at Rockstar watched Jay Leno's Garage, and decided they wanted to put the car in the game and put some '70 Hemi 'Cuda design elements in the car. It's great to see more muscle cars in the game, let alone a lesser known one like the Javelin. If I had a compliant about the car it's that I wish they gave us a more stock version, and had the resto-mod car as a Benny's upgrade. Oh well, nothing some modders can't do. Annis ZR380 Well this already a very controversial choice, lots of people wanted a 350Z in the game and Rockstar delivered...sort of. While I like the whole Death Race armored killing machine look this car has, you can't deny that's it's stupid that someone at Rockstar decided not to give us a stock street car to drive. Especially something as requested as the 350Z, so bad move to whoever green-lighted that decision. Luckilly the car is already being converted to stock by the Vanillaworks crew, so once again we turn to modders to fix Rockstars dumb design choices. Vapid Clique Yep, someone is watching Jay Leno's Garage for sure, as this was also featured on the show. It's a cool design and isn't that much different from the real car, but like the Deviant, it would've been nice to have the modified car as an upgrade and have a stock car as the default. Grotti Itali GTO As always in every GTA online update, there's some more modern super cars included. This is based on the newer Ferrari 812 Superfast, along with some F12 Berlinetta influence. I like the real car, but I'm not digging the design of this GTA car. The headlights are too big, and the wheels seem too small or something, it just looks off to me and could've been much better. Not interested. Pass. Benefactor Schlagen The other modern car in the update and this is actually not a bad one. It's supposed to be based on a Mercedes AMG GT but it seems to have some modern BMW design in the front. I'm sure it's pleasing to all the fans of the AMG GT and the SLS (myself included) so you may see this car come to IV, but nothing is set in stone. Pegassi Toros Shocker, the newest Lambo in the new update! Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Urus SUV nor am a fan of this thing which seems to actually be uglier than the real car. My apologies to everyone who likes this and the real Urus, but this is of no interest to me. Pass. Principe Deveste Eight Yeah, no way. Pass. Weeney Apocalypse Issi I had to laugh at this one, it's based on the Mini Cooper that was in Mad Max: Fury Road for less than a second. Apparently George Miller (the director) hated the modified Mini so much that he only let be seen for a split second in the movie. And I agree with him, I don't like it either. Pass. Declasse Brutus Another cool movie homage, this one from the awesome but cheesy "Tango & Cash" The real truck was a modified '88 Chevy Silverado but this appears to have been made from a 2014 GMC Sierra. GCT is wanting to make a standard truck as a modern Yosemite, so that'll be interesting to see. Benefactor Bruiser Holy People Eater! It's the People Eater's limo from Mad Max: Fury Road! The real truck/car thing was a tanker truck that hauled all the fuel for the baddies cars in the movie and went out with an epic explosion near the end. It seems Rockstar took the design of it and made it it's own vehicle without the tanker, and replaced the Mercedes body with the Glendale. It's possible to make a limo Glendale from the body of the car on the massive truck chassis, but it's not something I'm interested in doing as the standard Glendale is fine with me. MTL Cerberus This is probably the weakest of the Mad Max/Death Race inspired designs. It seems they blended the Dreadnought from the Death Race remake with the War Rig from MM:FR and made it all into one vehicle. I personally would've had it have a trailer along with the truck, but that's just me. It's not all bad though, the truck design itself would be cool to make into a homage to the creepy truck from Duel with all the rust and dirty paint, with a matching tanker trailer. Vehicles too awesome for GTA IV section: This section is for vehicles that are good but won't work in the limited engine of IV, so only read this if you interested in my opinion of cars and don't care if they aren't getting converted or modded. Vapid Apocalypse Slamvan No way! It's Stubby Bob from Roadkill! Probably one of my favorite shows of all time, and it's great to see one the greatest builds from the show get featured in the game officially. The Vanillaworks crew did make they're own epic version of Stubby Bob from a Duneloader which was great, but it's even better to see an official nod to Roadkill. Bravado Sasquatch Oh yes it's the "Bigfoot" from Mad Max: Fury Road. Obviously it has the flamethrower, and all the creepy baby heads removed from it that the real movie truck had. It also seems to have some better, more accurate wheels and tires which I wish they would put on the other monster trucks as well. Besides the awesome monster truck, there is a good Dodge pickup analogue in there. I know GCT was saying something about taking the truck body and maybe making it into a stock truck. (Walton perhaps?) So that might be something to look for in the future. RC Bandito Welcome back little guy! Nice to see a fun vehicle from San Andreas return with a more realistic design. I like that it has the ability to change body styles, and of course it works as a rolling bomb. HVY Scarab Yep, saw this coming. With it's appearance in the latest Fast & Furious and The Grand Tour, I knew there would be a Ripsaw tank for GTA eventually. What would've been cooler, is the ability to give it the muscle car body of the Bullet Farmer's Ripsaw in Mad Max: Fury Road. That is most of the DLC cars covered, there are a few vehicles that I didn't mention but those are variants of cars that already exist in the main game. There was a lot of good stuff in this update with many possibilities for mods and new ideas. Hope you enjoyed reading my opinions and be sure to leave your thoughts on what vehicles you liked or didn't like as I like hearing your opinions as well. Hopefully some of these new cars will make their way to the better ga...er I mean GTA IV. GCT is already working on the three GM muscle cars and I might take a stab at the Imperator, so keep an eye out for those mods! Nico 3,561 Posted December 16, 2018 Glad to hear you still plan to do some work for IV. I'm not the biggest Mad Max fan, or muscle fan, so I'm not very excited about these. Wonder who decided to add a parody of the Devel Sixteen, though. That thing is a joke, both IRL and ingame.
