God Mode on PS4

Now I've seen people who you can't kill with non explosive weapons but this guy survived multiple RPG rounds and he even fired his own rocket at the floor which didn't kill him but of course killed me. Has anybody else seen something similar to this on the PS4?

Even though this is concrete video evidence of a cheater R* will most likely do nothing so I doubt I'll even bother reporting them.

Report them anyway!

I've had the exact same thing happen to me. there's no way it's 'Natural Lag'. These players know that you can't kill them, the guy in your video was quite obviously aware of his 'invincibility'. The best explanation that I have found is players using a sophisticated Lag switch which can get past voltage detectors.

There's definately some serious cheating going on that goes beyond glitches. I'm sure there will be people who scoff at that and give the 'There's no modders on current Gen' speech. How do they explain your video.? Calling that normal lag isn't going to cut it.

there have been godmode glitches on new gen since the beginning.

so why do you say it couldn't be a glitch?

true modding just isn't possible on ps4 or xboxone without them being jailbroken.

if they really get jailbroken you or many other people would know about that many months before gtao will get modded!

as long as nobody has heard of a jailbreak there is no way of modding on these consoles!

He doesn't say it's not a glitch. Ring your knickers out - no-one here is saying there are modders on PS4.

Most likely a godmode glitch.

LogScottWood

If this is a glitch, LogScottWood would love a piece of the action. It looks like a great way to wind up dweebs.

Hope this helps,

It's most likely a glitch indeed. I have seen someone riding around in an insurgent, running over people, but I couldn't lock on to him. He survived a ton of explosives and proximity mines couldn't be triggered by him. Looks like the game thought he was in passive mode or something.

I tried a similair glitch out myself, to find out if that was the one he used and if I could counter him with it (and it was a joke of a glitch, how easy it was to do, unbelievable) but my weapons didn't do any damage to other players, which probably explained why he wasn't using any guns himself. But when I got in a vehicle myself I couldn't run over people. So it must have been a different glitch. Or I did it wrong, I dunno. Not going to mess around with it too much, not my kinda thing to do in GTAO.

Your passengers can though.

My cheater picked up a bunch of players and they drove around wasting people. I could kill a passenger up close but not the driver. HL wouldn't lock. At one point the driver actually drove right up to me and I planted five stickies on his windscreen and detonated, no effect.

Members dismissing this as some 'harmless glitch' isn't helpful. You know this is how the worse stuff starts right? Someone has went out of their way to find a weakness in the system that can be exploited for the purpose of cheating. They didn't just happen upon this by accident. It's the same with the invisible outfits. Have you seen how complicated it is for these idiots to get 'neck-down' invisibility?

You should all be reporting these events whenever they happen, when they happen. Get this nipped in the bud as soon as possible.

Thanks, atleast somebody understands.

Godmode has been an issue in the game for as long as I can remember. Prior to this, I actually hadn't seen a godmode glitcher in months. I was wrong to think it was over. It never is.

who exactly said it was a "harmless" glitch??

nobody said that because everybody would agree that god mode glitches are not harmless!

neither did anybody say that this glitch was accidental.

all of the people in here except of you just said that this is a glitch and not modding!

you seem not to have understood that a glitch can be used on purpose to cheat.

according to your posts you probably thought that a glitch just happens accidentally and not by intention, which is just wrong.

so you wanted an explanation for the happening in the video and you got it from all posters in here:

it's a glitch and not modding!

if it is a harmless glitch or not was never mentioned by anyone but you.

english is not my native language so i would be thankful if you or anybody lets me know where exactly i made mistakes in my posts (no typos).

if you think my english is improvable please show me the examples in my posts which you are talking about.

concerning the caps lock, i don't use it on the internet in general because of quicker typing.

this has never been a problem for anybody.

at least i use paragraphs and proper punctuation.

Good point.

She said this glitch doesn't happen by accident

You thought she said it does happen by accident.

then i probably didn't express it clearly enough.

i know that he/she knows that it doesn't happen by accident and also said it like this in his/her post.

but exactly this shows/implies that he/she thinks that all those who say it's a glitch would think it's just accidental.

otherwise he/she wouldn't have said that to emphasize the opposite.

so i tried to explain that i and the others who said it would be a glitch didn't say (or think) it's accidental.

but this is getting too much into offtopic now...

I reported another one today. Couldn't lock on or shoot him in his insurgent.

He wasn't able to fire back but he could run over me and other players.

It's definately becoming more widespread. Not good.

So as well as the god mode we now have players teleporting all over the map. In this instance they're teleporting to my bodyguards location during executive search and kills them. He's the highlighted red blip on the map, keep watching it spawn on my bodyguards.

Second video is me spectating him, you can clearly see him teleport from one location to another.

I've been encountering cheaters on a daily basis for over a week now.

I didn't get a note of it. I normally take a screenshot of players wearing the invisible outfits for extra proof if needed when I report them. I was going to do the same with this guy but there didn't seem to be much point. I need to empty my video file so i can record them in future.I'm still not exactly sure how to import a screenshot from PS4 to this forum. I know how to do the youtube thing with videos.

Perhaps there should be a name and shame section on here so that players can be identified

Today during our Piracy Prevention I encountered a player who was able to teleport from the beach to the yellow marker at Yacht. This player did it three times during our Piracy Prevention and before teleporting player seemed to be doing something in pause menu. If you start Piracy Prevention plant a prox mine to the yellow marker and make sure there is always one bodyguard ready with Assault Shotgun.

FFS,I had not long posted my last comment when I came across the exact same thing. The guy teleported from the top of a building down to the middle of the freeway and shotgunned me. He then killed me four times from out of nowhere, just appeared right next to me. When I told him he was reported he actually had the audacity to tell me it was 'Creator Mode' and then teleported to the top of Mount Chiliad.

I'm not sure what the Forum rules are on naming players but:

markmaddog-n16 from HELL crew, you're a cheating lowlife prick.

Yeah i've just checked that site and it appears to be the 'creator mode' in free roam thingy giving people god mode and the ability to teleport all over the map.

Hopefully it gets patched soon.

I've opened a ticket to R* just for the sake of it.

I was surprised at how quickly and precisely he was able to move. At first I just thought it was Lag. but it clicked pretty quick that something very weird was going on.

I was a victim of this just a short while ago. Someone got a few easy kills on me before I realised what was happening. Earlier on this evening I was on a turreted limo with two randoms hunting a vip and the car kept teleporting but I figured it was lag, guess probably not.
