i'm asking should i delete gta online on my ps3? i have gta v for both ps3 and ps4. i broke the controller for my ps4 and i'm waiting on a replacement in the mail.online in ps3 has been shot to hell because of modders. i remember playing gta v before online was released back in2013 how amazing it was. my question is if I delete online onps3 will it delete my characters , cars ,yachts etc. on ps4? also will if I go back to version 1.1 on ps3 will I have a better experience with money cases spawning in underwater wrecks, property missions(downtown cab) spawning etc.? anybody have any input on this?

If you are buying the game for a next gen console or PC then Rockstar has offered a one-time-only import of your entire PS3 save data. However, since I am not an online player, I have no idea if this applies to online or not, though I seem to remember it does. Still, don't delete anything just yet.

I think once you have done the transfer process, the PS3 version cannot affect PS4 version in any way.

Uninstallation of your PS3 copy of the game will not effect your online progress, as it is not saved to your console in any way. Your character, their belongings, and your data, is all saved to the Rockstar cloud storage system to be downloaded and cached when you start the game.

If you have already transferred your character, you cannot transfer them back, nor can you transfer any new progress you make on an older version of the game.

I think some people may have misunderstood him, or maybe I am!

 

You can't delete GTA Online itself. If you have GTA V, Online mode is always accessible, so you can't go back to "version 1.1".

If you want to do that, that may be possible if you delete the DLCs, then start GTA V while signed out of PSN.

 

Your character progress shouldn't be deleted. It is linked or so to say to your PSN account. You can delete your character tho, if you want.

Whatever you do to your character on PS3 stays on PS3. Whatever you do to it on PS4 stays on PS4.

 

If you really want to play GTAO, then don't do it in Public sessions. Use invite only sessions, invite some friends if you want!

Tbh, I don't see modders all that often, but I rarely play on Public sessions so I can't tell. At least when I'm on a public session, it's usually free of modders.

You may see modded accounts, but that's a different thing, simply stay away from PvP then.
