actually this is America. where voting doesn't matter unless you live in a purple state. If your a liberal living in red state your vote doesn't mean sh*t, if your republican in a blue state your vote doesn't mean sh*t. I'm certainly not going to argue against having a strict popular vote and abolish the Electoral College. we should. but again, the reason why your 'blue vote in a red state' dilemma even exists is thanks directly to Republican redistricting.

That tends to be the way with politicians though. They promise they can do a lot to get the votes in, but then they can't go through with all the policies they said they would. Usually because of congress, parliament etc.
