You shouldnt be able to fire weapons inside a kuruma. You cant shoot in, so why should you be able to shoot out?

I have no problem with seeing Armoured Kurumas in missions every time, but I would prefer to see some more diversity, even in free roam. In free roam, they tend to be used as greifing tools, which is inevitable, since it's an Armoured car. But they are easy to deal with most of the time. They do, however, tend to be troublemakers in missions. They tend to ram you, run you over, and basically have no care or sense of what they're doing. It's just full on rambo.

Sometimes, they just chill back and rarely do any work, because they think they're all safe in their Kuruma. So, they just chill and go afk.

The car is useful and has purpose. It holds balance by having no explosive capacity and being relatively low cost disposable. It is easily out run and sticky-bombed by any skilled player. I use an armored V12 as a bounty/kuruma hunter. I will only kill kurumas with bounties, griefers, or enemy VIPs inside.

I think the Kuruma is boring and a wimps car.

As soon as they get into another car they usually die because they're used to have 360° bullet protection.

I get that it's good for heist but it's use in freemode is pitiful.

I use it - its irresponsible not to unless you are playing with friends that you know want an extra challenge. If you are playing with randoms, rest assured that they just want to complete the sh*t as fast as possible. Is it boring? yea ... but so is repeating the same heists and missions over and over again :) might as well make the pain less lengthy by using the kuruma to get it done quicker.

Anyways, there is NOTHING WRONG with grinding the game as fast as you can to buy the flashy new toys R* brought us, I do that too. No one has the time or mood to play like the wannabe biker your character is doing nothing but doing a silly slow walk to objective roleplay or using nothing but pistols or busying yourself with drive-by sawed off shotgun kills while you get peppered by the AI for your stupidity. This uptight holier-than-thou attitude is as cancerous as Online's fanbase, same goes for the Kuruma griefers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess these are my two cents, lemme know what you think below.

No fighting or arguing, you can discuss it like adults but I don't want my thread to be locked.

the problem is even if you want to do normal missions just for fun 20 out of 20 missions, there will alway be people running to pick up the savage or going in the kuruma making any kind of team effort worthless.

when that s*it happens i just take a break and go drink some coffee or something since im not needed to finish the mission

Perfect answer.

Hit the nail on the head.

Any explosive will finish it, be it a grenade or sticky bomb, rocket or homing launcher. A driver can be shot out from the front with a little bit of care. If I'm going player hunting with a ground vehicle, the Insurgent is how it's done. It is explosive proof, but the driver (and gunner if it is a pickup) can be shot out. I was being chased in my gold and chrome Insurgent by an Insurgent pickup, both pursuers died. The point is there is nothing to fear with the Kuruma or Insurgent.

The armored kuruma is lame.

End of story.

If you want to use it, go ahead, it's your game. But players who are actually good at the game will find the kuruma simply boring to use.

lol That argument lasts only for the first four seconds in even the most "sedated" gang attack, until three NPCs whip out mini-guns and mow you down.

Or head shot you from blind cover from half a mile away.

Or...need I say more?

The Armored Kuruma is R*'s pitiful attempt at an apology for buffing NPC AI far beyond the absurd.

It's all that's left to put up with their BS, so I use it.

No apology for that.

Funny how the "gta professionals" still do missions with randoms. Even more funny how they get mad when they find someon who actually wants to get the job done instead of having to deal with trolls that are there just to mess things up.

Cause they are so skilled that they manage to do it without an armoured car BUT not on their own. We play the same old missions since 2013 and still people think it's "challenging" to do them on foot. I stopped having fun doing missions on foot "for the challenge" way before the kuruma was released. And i have no special skills, i think a lot of day-one players will agree.

You are new to the game? Good for you, make some friends and have some fun. But if you join random lobbies, you can consider yourself lucky if you find some "boring guy" using AK. And if you're not new, please tell me you discovered contact missions just yesterday cause everyone got bored of them after few months. You can't play them as we're still in early 2015, you know, r* added some new shiny expensive sh*t and there's people who just play them to make money fast.

If you want to show your skills against NPCs (that's a bit of nonsense, they can be pretty accurate but they're damn slow... You shoot one and all the others turn their head, they also stop shooting if you shoot near them and don't hit them, like they are frightened or something) well i think you should just find someone like you and stop bitching about players who want to do an easy job as fast as possible.

Such a big damn circlejerk about one car. Thousands of players might associate "Kuruma" with the armored vehicle in Online, but for me it is always going to be and has always been this one :

I use my Kuruma for certain missions/heists simply because of the efficiency factor. Likewise for the utility vest. It makes things a lot easier, and increases your chance of success. It'd be foolish not to if you're simply playing to increase your balance.

My car collection still consists of a few cars which have full armour upgrades and bulletproof tyres, from the pre-Kuruma era.

If Rockstar were beginning to feel guilty about their additions, they could always add a new difficulty for missions/heists which prevents the usage of certain cars etc. That said, it wouldn't take long for people to find ways around it.

I'm guilty of grinding missions in the AK as well, but I finally got rid of it when I realized just how unbelievably boring it all became. And that I just didn't really need it since the AI are easy as pie even without the AK. I finally sold it. The thing handles like garbage anyway and now I'd rather just take my armored Cog if anything for tougher missions. Just personal taste. I got sick of shooting from the car the whole time and got tired of the poor handling. I've noticed less and less Kurumas on missions over the months.

I can understand some people only play the missions to grind and that's fine too. Just don't get pissed when I'd rather drive my topless Mamba to the destination instead of getting into your turtle car. That doesn't mean that I will pull up and get wasted right away. That only happens to dumbasses. I can understand that it will really help very low level players survive though.

The way to shoot into the kuruma is on the frames of the windows, which is a bug, not a feature.

A minigun to any windows with my mate inside not dying was enough proof for me that its bullet proof, except for the buggy collisions.

How do you know?

I've shot people out through the windscreen, though it's not as easy as shooting through the driver's window.. I've even shot one guy out with a Musket of all weapons. Shooting through the driver's window is your best bet, and it works with almost any gun. I mainly use the Combat MG, and it works well. Oh, and I've shot players out with the minigun as well.

If it was a bug, Rockstar would have done something about it now. It's been a whole year now.

It's a crutch for bad players and it sucks any kind of fun out of the game for me. That being said, I don't use the Kuruma in missions/heists so that doesn't apply to me, let those players have their fun if they're not good enough to beat the missions properly. That's not the reason why I hate the armored Kuruma. The reason I hate it is because of the players that drive around in it in freeroam, beelining to the closest player blip they see and unloading an AP pistol into them.

An idea I have that I always hope R* implements is giving the armored Kuruma its own unique blip on the mini map, similar to the Insurgent, the bulletproof nature of the car makes it exetremely powerful, I don't know why it doesn't have it's own unique blip. That way I'll have an easier time knowing which players that drive close to me can be safely ignored and which to blast with an RPG as soon as they turn around the corner, inevitably wielding a sticky bomb.

And before anyone mentions that there are better alternatives for the KDR kids, like the Hydra, you're right. But the kuruma is the easiest, cheapest and by far most common option.

Finally someone who gets it ..

It has nothing to do with ability and all losers suggesting it is are the lame ones. A lot of us want to earn money. I am not suggesting you don't get squeakers that are annoying as heck in missions, you do, but then you play with your friends or solo.

I want to earn money as quick as I can and couldn't care less for getting out my car aiming my gun, whoopie, you guys must be so dope to be able to aim a gun instead of shooting out of your car, what can I say, all to our own, takes real skill, give me a break.

Needless to saying grinding is not fun, no matter whether you do it in a kuruma or not ..

I only play free roam if I'm getting armor or snacks and I end up getting attacked. Sometimes it's just the break I didn't know I needed. The minor frustration of some meta-armed spastic killing me is almost exactly balanced out by the satisfaction of occasionally being in the right, random place to dispose of some other aggressive toddler.

Is the universe that balanced? Maybe it's just my character's zen outlook. I say, "You go, Kuruma! We are all Rockstar's creatures."

Bitchers guna bitch, haters guna hate, and potatoes are going to po-tate.

It is what it is. I love my AK and use it almost religiously. The funny thing is I do the missions that require you leaving your vehicle to complete. The more difficult ones. The majority of you punk ass whiners are doing crap, low level missions that don't require the leaving of your vehicle for anything other than objective collection. So why would anyone using one have a need to get out? In reality you are more of a punk ass if you're trying to Rambo. Death makes you an ultimate failure, more so than your chosen tactic.

Also, hate on a inanimate object makes you look juvenile and rather stupid.

I don't have anything against the armored Kuruma, it's just another car .... Though I'm disappointed that Rockstar brought it back as a Mitsubishi instead of a Chrysler... It was a 300M after all.

Sure, 90% of the time its an eyesore... Just like any chromed Adder or Insurgent out there.

If a random wants to use it in a mission so be it, I'll use my own equipment anyway ... However, if I'm doing the PS finale & the boss wanna use it, sure why not ... But I can still do without it, the cop car will suffice.

That said, I don't own one & never will.
