Kuruma is Innocent

There's no denying the Armored Kuruma is useful in contact missions, but even so I refuse to ever buy one.

Never have, never will.

There's not one instance in the entire game where I wouldn't rather use an Emperor instead.

There's nothing in the entire game where the A.I. throws anything at you so hard that you need to use one.

It's funny how, regardless of who's playing, 99% of the time, the people I see driving Armored Kuruma's (or high-end super cars in general) in contact missions slam into traffic every 3 seconds and can't drive worth a sh*t.

Even if I'm driving a f*cking Surfer or Emperor, I'll almost ALWAYS make it to the objective literally MINUTES before these f*ckheads do. Which is usually detrimental. The AI with their pinpoint accuracy will usually have mowed me down at least once at least a minute before any of the other participants have made it anywhere near the mission objective.

Even so, I refuse to buy any armored car... especially an Armored Kuruma... because they're f*cking gay.

And I mean that in the classic sense... I do not care what your sexual preference is. I mean it more in the early 90's and earlier sense where it means you're just being a f*cking wimp. Ya'dig?

I use the Karuma in the Pacific Standard Convoy setup because that gunner on the turret is a bitch. I drive behind him, take him out then hop out the car to kill the rest.

Really A Surfer? Which complete nincompoops are you playing with?!

Telling us that the AI mow you at least once (which is detrimental to the mission) is not something to insert into a brag.

Okay. So if I hadn't used that one word you would have had no reason to reply at all. I'm sorry that one single word triggered you so badly.

Whilst I don't care if people use kurumas (98% of the GTA community does) I personally think it broke the game ever since it was added or at least spoiled the fun. Every session you join there are horribly painted kurumas and every mission there's that 1 guy who refuses to leave his kuruma for anything, as others have mentioned above using it obviously raises your chances at success in missions but makes it monotonously boring almost as if it were a real job and I thought games were played to have fun.

Anyways, there is NOTHING WRONG with grinding the game as fast as you can

Sure, nothing wrong with that attitude, but, then why play the game? Grind? Work is supposed to be a grind, video games are supposed to be fun.

I usually grind for the first half of my session and have fun for the remaining half. Grinding earns me money in order to have fun with new vehicles etc.

You're right, I wouldn't have replied otherwise, because your post had no substance to reply to. I did enjoy poking fun at your use of the word gay though.

I won't go into what the word means to me and many others any further here, because that's not what the topic is about.

Who is so bent out of shape that they get mad about a Kuruma in a heist? That's the Mecca of Kurumas.

Well, dummy.

Clearly something in what I said set you off.

So, what was it? Implying that Armored cars are for fools?

Or that I associate them with cowards.

I don't care what you do either way. And I'm comfortable enough with people, myself and people I know personally / certain terms without freaking out about whatever connotations might be associated with them.

Or are you just one of those jerk-offs that have some kind of pretentious, self-righteous social-justice stigma associated with certain terms?

Please, for someone who was apparently born in 1981, I would hope you would have two more years worth of maturity and wisdom than someone like me who was drunk off their ass on vodka at the time of their initial posting.

Or are you just going to quote this post verbatim and change a couple of words in a feeble attempt to seem clever like you did last time?

It's a great car. Don't see why it gets as much hate as it does.

When their flagrant use makes the game no fun? When users get so offended when you don't jump on board that they run you down dead, and then dick around hoping you'll quit the mission?

He did say heist though. Heist is a different matter.

Maybe OT but still interested in:

I've read it several times (reddit linked-topic, posts here and there)

Some call the car Kuruma, others Karuma, Kukuma, Kaboomer whatever.

Is there any serious reason? Are there diffrent translations out for the Kuruma?

Thanks for clearing up.

It's your game, play the way you want to and don't get bothered by what the others say... Killing someone in a Kuruma is easy anyway, and grinding missions without it is, thanks to the AI, as enjoyable as trying to eat a brick.

They're either misspelling it or just reading it wrong. Or both.

All these veteran players who ranked up with Lamars pistol and a topless Carbonizzare hate you. They see this new generation of players with their armoured cars, bp helmets, visibility vests, safety goggles, knee pads, fire proof bedding and worry about our future.

Like those modern first world kids raised in a protective safety bubble who you know are gonna drop dead as soon as they step outside of it.

Wandering why that rank 90 keeps dying in the prison break finale on normal? It's because he can't use his Kuruma. The contempt is about more than freeroam aggression or scrubbish hipster minimalism.

Just playing devils advocate here :)

I personally don't care what people drive as long as they're not running me over when I don't get on board

I love the Kuruma but am now bored with it. I use a relatively fast vehicle like the faggio and kill with the heavy sniper and combat pistol. I love the challenge now. After 3 years, you might as well challenge yourself.

The Hydra the savage the insurgent pick up the kuruma the technical the minigun the rpg everything is innocent but the players dont use them properly. They need to know that with great power comes great responsibility

yup , after that moaning in back before the heist update released

enemy's ridiculous " power " ( particulary rooftop rumble , where now i've noticed they'll fire their rifle like a machine gun and till ran out of ammo in magazine , unlike common mooks firing short burst ) . if i come out of cover during that mission , i'll be swiss cheese

so i'll give them a payback with use of armored kuruma

I grinded (ground?) missions for a long time with the AK, so I'm not on the moral high ground here.

I did get tired of it. It's mind-numbingly boring. I enjoyed the game 150% more once I slowed my pace and started using other means to complete missions.

I don't mind people who do it, as I've done it myself, but what does bother me is people who depend on it and are unable to do anything but hide in their AK, even when there are faster ways to finish the mission.

Case in point: Chop Chop. "..."

Another thing is, if other people in the mission are trying to play 'tactically' and someone just Kuruma-rushes in Leeroy Jenkins-style, it's god damned annoying, to be honest.

If I'm in someone else's game, I tend not to bother them about it.

If I'm hosting, I ask them if they'd mind not Kuruma-rushing when the rest of us are trying to play.. how do I put this to hurt the least amount of butts.. another way?

Some say OK, and I thank them. Others ignore me and I kick them. I'm sure they find another game right away where noone will mind.

ui ui ui three thumbs up, this sums it up! for me at least hihi.

It's perfectly okay to use the armoured Kuruma in missions if you want. It is an awful car that never had to exist since it is never needed, but may as well use it since it's here.

The problem is how it's used. The majority of Kuruma users drive around and spray bullets manically. You're sitting in a bullet proof car. You don't need to act like a total sh*tter in that thing. Roll in slowly, put headshots on every single enemy. Be efficient.

That's what I actually do all the time, the driving slow in objective area and headshoting the enemies I mean, except it is less to be efficient and more about having less enemies in the areas so randoms don't f*ck themselves over and make us start the setup all over again.

Another reason why I trained myself to take shortcuts and cut traffics expertly, doesn't work all the time, but I get there first at most.

The only issue I have with the Armoured Kuruma is that it seems to be one of those cars that I never see customised tastefully. Not that it actually bothers me it's just an observation.

I don't think I've ever been killed by someone driving one in free roam as it's straightforward to blow them up so no problems there.

Yes they are boring to use in missions as it makes them too easy and although my Carbonizzare inexplicably has a similar bulletproof ability against the AI, while also being a great looking car, I very rarely use it for missions. However I do use my Buzzard on the reg for grinding (solo) and I don't see any difference between grinding with that or with a Kuruma, it's just down to preference.

The Kuruma has no agency, and therefore cannot be declared innocent nor guilty on any account.

If you mean Kuruma drivers, well they're cool. I ride with them.

If you mean ARMORED Kuruma drivers, then they're the ones who are typically going to ram you repeatedly because they want to do it themselves, because they are apparently faster at it. I mean, take it easy, dumbass. It's Rooftop Rumble, not the goddamn Pacific Standard. Literally my Bati is faster than your car.
