Kuruma is Innocent

Hey everyone, my first post ever since I came here, so let's get started:-

The Kuruma, as you know, is a very useful tool to deal with the bullsh*t this game throws at us, like the AI for example. It helps us with the grind while making our goals easier with top tier efficiency as long as the driver has a brain.

Problem is, a lot of people lately have been very aggressive against people who use the Kuruma in missions and heists built for grinding, the sources of these attacks are very limited when it comes here but most of the hate comes from the subreddits, you cannot have common sense coexist with circlejerk over there.

Their problem isn't with the griefers in Freeroam, their problem is with people not playing the game like they want, if I want to use a Kuruma don't be a bitch about my choices and spend the entire mission blowing up our Kurumas, you're just wasting your money and time dude, grow up.

Anyways, there is NOTHING WRONG with grinding the game as fast as you can to buy the flashy new toys R* brought us, I do that too. No one has the time or mood to play like the wannabe biker your character is doing nothing but doing a silly slow walk to objective roleplay or using nothing but pistols or busying yourself with drive-by sawed off shotgun kills while you get peppered by the AI for your stupidity. This uptight holier-than-thou attitude is as cancerous as Online's fanbase, same goes for the Kuruma griefers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess these are my two cents, lemme know what you think below.

No fighting or arguing, you can discuss it like adults but I don't want my thread to be locked.

Apparently armoured cars don't protect against insults from big meanies.

The armored kuruma is lame.

End of story.

If you want to use it, go ahead, it's your game. But players who are actually good at the game will find the kuruma simply boring to use. It makes otherwise challenging missions impossibly easy. Take "Death from Above" for example. With the kuruma.. you can simply drive onto the property.. shoot the target.. take his picture, and leave without getting a scratch.

But like I said.. use it however you want. I prefer to play how I want. Where do you get off criticizing players who prefer to play with more of a challenge but then expect nobody to criticize you for using a puss car?

missions and heists built for grinding

Oh right, the missions that had replay removed, the ones that had quick restart broken and mission playlists removed.

those grinding missions

right.

I have nothing against smart use of property in the game in missions

Its annoying as f*ck in freeroam because its a f*cking armored car that prompts you to blow it up and costs you cash

and If I get butthurt I share it in the moan thread

But bitching about randoms bitching is no better, nor making topics on it.

For missions and heists; if it's with friends who are cool with it, or just randoms, it's fine.

Take it out in free mode and every armed vehicle has a right to metaphorically torture you.

As a member of the jury, I suppose I do actually find Kuruma innocent.

But in the same way that Lazer and homing launcher are innocent - there are still negative connotations attached to them.

Kurmuas don't grief lobbies and don't spoil missions. People grief lobbies and spoil missions (albeit in more ways than one)

I use my Kuruma in heists and missions exclusively, and I don't do free roam anyways.

Yep every now and then some low life blows it up when I'm out of it,so I tend to keep it far away from other players and set it to passengers access only.

Yeah as long as you don't drive into the pool

Lame to some... maybe.

But time is money to me

I can't count how many times ppl die in heists that I join because they drove up to enemies in their favorite supercar.

I personally use the Armoured Kuruma to defend myself against high-level players in freemode when playing as my lower level male character.

They have higher shooting skills, strength, and better guns due to the level lock, whilst I've barely managed to scrape him up to the point that I could get him a grenade launcher.

It's a useful tool in the right hands, and can be easily countered by anybody who knows what they're doing. I also sometimes use it in missions to get them done quicker and avoid the bullsh*t AI and their magical 101% accuracy rate.

It's innocent, but a majority of its drivers aren't.

I love when ppl come at me in a kuruma. Just means they cant use stickies, as I blow them up. I do use one for grinding (not when playing with friends though) missions and pac stan finale. I do have a regular one also.

Holy sh*t you guys are so uptight, did I offend you or something? I never took a route to make my end look better, all I did was point out that bitching about other people's tastes and play styles are not cool unless if they are harmful.

Yes, the missions and heists are boring with the Kuruma, I know, but I'm only here for the pay and that is it, you can call me lame for not being as creative as the lot of you but I just want the cash to buy myself some cars. Pretty shocking, huh?

I'm a fan of the Kuruma for the right reasons, I have no idea where this huge influx of anti-Kuruma-ism came from but it makes sure my time isn't wasted on the set-ups because of how dumb randoms are by themselves, I am extremely capable on foot and on air, but if I am dealing with the AI I would rather it be a bore than a chore.

People care about kurumas in missions? Wow, some people really are idiots. I only care that it's all people use in free mode. It's funny driving around in my Dukes and people telling me how nice my car is, I can't say the same if no one gets out their nice cars.

I'll be bringing up the rear in my regular Kuruma ;)

For the record I don't dislike the armored variant, unlike some here who would limit it's participation to the Fleeca job only.

Yeah the hate comes from free roam use, but people jumped on the band wagon and let's go bash anyone that uses a kuruma ...

I like my armored Kuruma, use it on missions and heists all the time, don't often use it in freeroam unless I have a bounty or there's a lot of fa**ots driving around shooting people.

Hell, one time I had a bounty, and another guy in an armored Kuruma drove to me to kill me, and for some reason no bullet he fired at me would hit me, he gave up and just started ramming me, was pretty funny.

I grinded (ground?) missions for a long time with the AK, so I'm not on the moral high ground here.

I did get tired of it. It's mind-numbingly boring. I enjoyed the game 150% more once I slowed my pace and started using other means to complete missions.

I don't mind people who do it, as I've done it myself, but what does bother me is people who depend on it and are unable to do anything but hide in their AK, even when there are faster ways to finish the mission.

Case in point: Chop Chop. Some folks will stay in their Kuruma and drive to both outposts, taking ten times as long as if they just got into one of the damned Buzzards. Sometimes I get taken down by one of the SAM-firing NPCs, and so I have to wait for Mr. Kuruma to finish driving up the mountain, slowly wedging his AK into the outpost to machine gun all of the enemies to death, then working his way out, down the mountain, across the desert to the other outpost and wait for him to machine gun all of those enemies. That is, if I have the patience to wait.

Another thing is, if other people in the mission are trying to play 'tactically' and someone just Kuruma-rushes in Leeroy Jenkins-style, it's god damned annoying, to be honest.

If I'm in someone else's game, I tend not to bother them about it.

If I'm hosting, I ask them if they'd mind not Kuruma-rushing when the rest of us are trying to play.. how do I put this to hurt the least amount of butts.. another way?

Some say OK, and I thank them. Others ignore me and I kick them. I'm sure they find another game right away where noone will mind.

Bitch and moan thread.

Well, it looks like a Moderator has... oh wait, it's just a thread-crapper, everybody continue.

On topic: The Kuruma is in the game to help me to shepherd the mentally disabled from the start to the end of a heist set-up and get paid. There's a reason that Lester Crest calls it the "idiot-proof heist car". I thank Kraft in heaven above every time it spawns for me, I honestly couldn't live without it, unless I found a regular group of psychologically normal (for GTA players) human beings to play with, but there's almost no chance of that happening.

I don't hate Kurumas, it's very useful for getaways, but see some players that lock themselves inside and play the whole mission on it is simply noobish. Even those who run over other players on the shootout. But the most pathetic thing is when they enter buildings and try to climb stairs on missions like Dry Docking.

I personally just simply like to drive the kuruma. When I do missions, I drive up there in my kuruma, hop out of the car and do the mission whitout the safety of the kuruma. I may be hiding behind it at first, or use it to stay alive when the cops come guns blazing, but I have never used it against another player. I don't want to make the missions/heists too easy, so I don't do them in a kuruma. It's mainly transportation purposes for me, and coz I don't care too much about the cars in this game, it had all I need.

I don't mind Kuruma's, they can be a tone of fun. If someone tries to grief me I either; A. Assault Shotgun them or B. Blow them up. If you know the tricks you can easily kill the driver and/or passengers.

sh*t, he's on to me and my pistol only challenges! Actually, using the pistol and getting headshots saves a ton of ammo.

OT: I'll only go out of my way to put a Kuruma out of it's misery if I see the GT wing on it or whatever it's called
