Can we take a moment to appreciate the script of this game?

Watching V's walkthrough again on Youtube seems to make V grown on me a bit. The script's a bit different than my favourite GTA but it really is another great stuff from R*. It's simply a different beast really. Looking forward to play V again after i upgrade my PC. In the meantime, i'll stay in LC for a while

If was into PC gaming I know I'd appreciate V a great deal more with good mods. You should capitalise on that.

One thing which has always made me love GTA V Story Mode is the amazing script. The writers done an amazing job, no kidding! Lines such as "Surviving is winning, Franklin!" and "Hypocrisy, Franklin. Civilisation's Greatest Virtue." The script, in my opinion, is better than most games.

 

Lines are funny, meaningful and fitting to the character at best. Lines such as "You always liked gasoline, Trevor!" have way deeper meaning to them than just insults to the character, these lines, when thought about, remind players of times where Trevor has used gasoline, such as when he exploded the O' Neill family home.

are you sure you mean the script, or the dialogue? i thought the dialogue was ok, but the script itself was poorly written

Seems pretty clear to me that he was very sure. I think the dialog is excellent, and the script, as the OP asserts, is one of the best I have seen in the series.

No videogame script is "perfection." lol This isn't Shakespeare or even Coppola or Spielberg here. But the script is pretty amazing for a videogame, definitely up there with the BEST scripts in the GTA series, III, SA, VC, LCS, and VCS.
