"Facebook features on the PS3" warning = freezing issues?

First off, PS4 crew, please no "TIME TO UPGRADE TO PS4/YOU'RE POOR!" nonsense. We get it, you own a ps4 and those of us who own ps3's are poor idiots too stupid and poor to realize we NEED to upgrade.

 

That said...

 

PS3 people, this warning now pops up whenever I attempt to log into GTA Online. It pops up on top of the "all progress" screen.

 

If I click the O too quickly, my screen freezes and I have to manually brick the console. If I wait too long the Facebook Features warning will go away but I will get stuck on the "Are you sure you want to join" screen.

 

Yes yes, I know this is a Rockstar Support question and I'll deal with that there.

 

Wondering how many people HERE are having this issue or if this is something specific to my console?

That has been happening since the last software update.

What's really weird tho is that for me and everyone I know (I think) that message appears when loading story mode.

I can hit Circle right away and nothing happens.

Idk why that happens to you, do you load straight into Online?

In my two years of playing GTAO on PS3 I never saw anything about Facebook, ever. Is that something new (since last October)?

 

The only thing that used GTA and Facebook in the same subject was iFruit.

There was a software update (not a GTA V update) that removed all sort of Facebook features on PS3, by the looks of it.

Since then, that message started popping up whenever you started loading story mode.
