Are modders making a comeback?

So yeah... I'm on 360 still (Soon to be on XB1.) remember back a couple of years ago how people were getting millions of dollars dropped on them, I remember the tank craze, I remember God Mode and how people were invisible. Then I remember how R* started cracking down and all of those modders all up and disappeared.

 

Recently I've noticed that they've started to make a comeback. I keep running into transparent people who are just a head and arms, and also don't show up on the radar shooting rockets at people. I've run into people who can eat entire clips of bullets and not die but shoot you and destroy your vest in like 3 shots. They're not entirely invincible, but it takes more than usual to kill them (Example: A car they were driving took 2 rockets to explode instead of one; a jet they were flying crashed into a buzzard, the buzzard blew up but the jet emerged unscathed). I've run into people who think i'm a modder since i'm almost level 400 (I've been playing for over 2 years, I earned everything including my rank) who keep sending the message "money drop?" So I guess that's a thing now too, then. I've run into a guy who admitted to be a modder who claimed to have over 180 trillion dollars, to be the leader of 11 crews, and the owner of a fleet of modded vehicles. I said "That takes all the fun out of the game, what are you gonna do with that money?" He responded that he dropped millions on people that pissed him off.

 

Maybe I missed the memo. The people who stay in passive mode, get next to you, come out of it to kill you and then go back in passive mode are bad enough; are the cheaters and the god modders on the rise again?

On PC some of the script kiddies have started coming back but now they are being careful not blowing up everyone in the lobby.

 

Had drop 5 mil on me yesterday. We actually had a laugh the whole lobby in convoy in 3 Buckinghams and 3 swifts all flying round the map.

Modders will always find a way to overcome enforced rules. It's a never ending fight between R* and cheaters. Last gen doesn't help one iota.

Modders have been pretty active since the pc version came out. Damn man, the amount of carmods that are out there now is insane!

 

But i have the feeling you're talking about cheaters. From what i've heard, on last gen you can cheat as much as you want without being punished. On pc, the amount of cheater has increased by a bit again, which is unfortunate.

I believe on the old consoles, the modders have not gone anywhere. At least thats what I hear I can't confirm that. I play on PC and I'm starting to see them show up yet again. As much as I prefer the PC, I might buy this on my PS4 instead so I can actually enjoy the game instead of playing with assholes. >

Yes! She is sooooo sexy! I'd do anything for her......and to her....lol, but on a serious note yea I mean I like the PC better its my personal preference, but I also would like to enjoy GTA. If R* would get their sh*t together, then this wouldn't be a problem. All well though I'll still enjoy the game on consoles, I just gotta get used to the controller.

There's no "comeback" of script kiddies on Last Gen. They were never gone to begin with.

 

PC is the only platform capable of having a script kiddie comeback as per the word's definition.

They must have released new versions of the mod menus as modders have returned to PC lobbies. That being said, anybody who complains that they can't deal with these people forget the fact you can find a new session. They're not EVERYWHERE and only the dumbest of the modders make it obvious enough to get reported and banned.

We have people with modded accounts on PS4 and people with glitched outfits. No God mode, but level 1000+, extra combat rolls, and no recoil.

Monkey rolling and no recoil were patched

They still retained the modded money and level though.

 

Seems to me that R* knows who are the cheaters so I can't understand why they don't ban them right away.
