Should I buy Buzzard?

The buzzard is awesome it's so agile, when people lock on to you with the homing launcher you can actually duck being buildings and they can't hit you.

^ As you're a man of taste I suggest the Valkyrie before the Savage, assuming you have peeps. In any event the Soviet version of Fortunate Son sucks balls.

Interesting, I have to be honest I have kinda skipped over the Valkyrie. But I will do some research, I guess the everlasting missle launcher stole my eye.

Death Rains From Above

With the 25% off sale going on right now, I'd say the Buzzard is definetely worth it. I personally prefer the Savage, but even I couldn't pass up on buying the Buzzard at this reduced price.

I have a character that only has a savage and I always wish I have the buzzard there although it is forcing me to get better with the flying turkey. The Valkyrie is the best chopper imho but not solo.

Definitely worth it. Buzzard is IMO the most fun aircraft to fly. Ridiculously agile, can land it almost anywhere. Rockets are fine. Might not have explosive rounds, but the miniguns are not useless once you learn to aim.

Okay guys and gals, I bought the Buzzard! And with the money I saved, I bought a little toy also, an Infernus! XD I know they aren't super competitive but they're nostalgic for me and I've been wanting one for awhile.

If you're facing an enemy and they fire off a HL, stick sharp right + right bumper button and it will sail past :^:

If you don't have an Hydra, no, buy an Hydra first. Things changed a lot for better since I got it. Having one doesn't make the "flying pussy" everybody hates, I actually only did that on the first week to learn how to use it and to purposely make people try to take me down so I could learn by myself attack/ defense tactics.

It's a jet so it's fun to fly arround and to take you faster to another point of the map: I initially thought about buying a Besra but this one can replace it just fine. It's a mix of a plane and an helicopter, so you can have the best of each side, and after some practice you'll be able to complement the hover mode with the jet engine nicely. The problems are the fact it's big and carries only one player, so it's here the helis enter:

I don't own a Buzzard, but instead a Savage. I think those are the only 2 armed helis worth buying, since Valkyrie does not allow the pilot to use weapons, so if you're by yourself, you are defenseless. Between Savage and Buzzard, Savage has a more powerful cannon with explosive rounds, and missiles don't have a cooldown every two shots. However, Buzzard is smaller and easier to maneuver, so it's easier to pilot.

My experience says:

Hydra is more versatile, you can use it just fine for both free roam sessions and missions. The hover mode allows you to do pretty much the same of an heli, and the jet engine allows you to quickly leave the place and go fast.

Helis are much smaller than Hydra allowing you to go on narrower places, and I find them easier to pilot than the Hydra on hover mode. They'll also survive small crashes at low speeds, while the Hydra on hover mode doesn't. It carries more players being more useful for missions, and in the case of the Savage it has more fire power. However, they suck for free roam, since you're way more exposed to attacks than the Hydra, being harder to escape missiles.

I hope it helped on your decision.

Depends what the guns are being used on I suppose. They're good against a lot of vehicles, and can actually take down jets.

Against players on foot, they're kind of ... Well they're not really up to much. But that's what missiles are for anyway.

At least they don't have 4 "miniguns" that in total do less damage than a guy carrying 1. Can't annihilate sh*t.

Good choice on the Buzzard AND the Infernus - I've got both too :) The Infernus is a massively underrated beauty. It harks back to GTA IV and has a nostalgic value for many of us.

I know right? And that's after the Annihilator was buffed. Before that, I'd say an assault rifle was probably stronger.

If they just let the thing aim, at least you could consistently spray people with them. But instead you're left dipping the helicopter around, orbiting and wrestling with the controls to keep the whole thing pointed down, and all the while you've got to somehow keep the target over the enemy long enough to cause some meaningful damage.

That helicopter is in dire need of a buff.

Yes. I always recommended buying one even before the EOC update, but now it has become the most useful Pegasus vehicle in the game to own. If you do VIP work, it will pay for itself very quickly. Each time you use it you will be saving $25K, so if you use it 70 times, you will have SAVED the total amount of the Buzzard's undiscounted price. You will also have EARNED around $60K or more for each use, if you use it the same way I do. I usually play Sightseer, wait a few minutes, do a Hostile Takeover (usually Altruist, sometimes LSIA) followed immediately by another Sightseer, then I have about a 10 minute cooldown to do a mission or something else before starting the whole cycle over again.

Based on my method, you'd only need to use it about 20 times to make back the full price, or about 15 times to make back the discounted price. It's not hard to see how your ROI will be very high with this vehicle, most likely higher than any other Pegasus vehicle in the game. There's also the added convenience of being able to use it to reach places quickly, like if you are trying to reach the RV shop quickly in time for the first modded Sandking XL to spawn. It is also available for free to your VIP teammates, which comes in handy as well. You can also spawn a Pegasus vehicle and still have your VIP Buzzard in play throughout a whole session, so in a sense it is like you are getting two Buzzards when you buy it, not just one. Or, you are getting a Buzzard for your teammates to use while you use your Hydra or other Pegasus vehicle.

It's pretty much a no-brainer at this point. If you haven't bought the Buzzard yet, buy it as soon as you can while this sale is still going on. It is one of the best purchases you can make in the entire game.

With the sale going on right now for Warstock vehicles, I think it's 25% off. I would definitely buy a Buzzard, it's agile, very easy to control, quick and can take a few hits with small arms. It's not like flying that tin can called the Savage.

It will eventually pay for itself, if you run Sightseer that will save you $25k if you own the Buzzard, it's free to use is VIP. Just overall the Buzzard is excellent in contact missions, getting from point A to point B...it's worth it

The Buzzard is awesome to have, very helpful with contact missions and VIP missions. I use mine over my Savage and Hydra about 90% of the time

Yes OP get it! Very competitive helicopter. And with it's swiftness it can easily take down a Hydra or a Lazer if you are good at helicopter operations. Like many of us here. I like the savage but it's a little slow.

Obligatory Buzzard reminder that the yaw buttons (LB and RB on xb) cycle through targets, so fire a rocket, cycle, fire to double your effectiveness.

Unless you fly helicopters a lot, you won't be much more than a flying target.

Buy it if you often just want to get from A to B, and there's a lot of distance to cover.

I wouldn't overestimate what it can do against players on the ground though. It's not up to much, and that's assuming you can use it really well. If you don't fly that much, you're just a target for homing launchers basically.

Well look at that, mister Icantstopappreciating aircraft saying the buzzard is not as good as the others? Come on man, you should see me in a buzzard. I can dodge homing missiles 70% of the time, front and back. I can easily take out targets on foot with the non homing rockets, same for moving vehicles. Hell I've even taken out Hydras with a buzzard (go figure, but they weren't good pilots apparently)

Alright. Looks like I'll get one too. Lamp post deaths and slow speeds aren't really worth the missile spam in my Savage. Buzzard it is.
