Exactly Whats The Point of Calling Lester to Locate a Vehicle for Again? Does Our Characters Have Amnesia or Something, and need his Expertise to find them? Because If This The Case, I really don't Need Him. I Know where all my stuff is. and If I Did need His Help, I'd rather Call in a Bloodhound. Oh wait, I Forgot No Animals Online.. Shoot LOL

When I enter a clothes store I often get the notification pop up that explains about the kill yourself option. It is kind of annoying as it means I have to wait 5 seconds or so until it goes away before I can start looking at the clothes.

Essentially, every time you want to buy new clothes, they're telling you to kill yourself.

 

I feel there's a deeper meaning in there somewhere.

 

You can set frequency of notifications in your settings.

Listen you. If you solve the problem, how are we supposed to whine about it incessantly online?

IIRC this prompt appeared in an early patch after half the players got trapped in shops by the other half parking their cars in front of the doors.

What's with the stupid f++king Xbox notification saying "Your party has joined a job. Press A to join" or words to that effect. Ridiculous.... it can appear in the middle of a race and ruins the entire thing. Does my f++king head in

Seems like a lot of you didn't know that you CAN turn all of those notifications off.

 

Go to your options, or settings or whatever it's called, and go to notifications. Turn all notifications off and set the message frequency to 1 hour. You can find the notification settings in the pause menu. You'll still get the invite beep unless you turn that off in your phone. You can even set those notifications to off in story mode and it'll carry over to online.

Try it in a versus mission The one where you have to pick up that guy at LSIA.

Looks like plenty of people still don't know you won't get phone calls once you've used that contact.

EG phone for a bull shark drop and Dom will leave you alone from then on. Get Lester to locate a chopper is another one iirc.

The bug where the kill/info feed appears on top of your mugger/other play list still happens though.

What about Simeon and madrazzo?

Export a car and, um, not sure. Like I said it's been a while since I turned these calls off, like about a day after the patch did this.

 

Maybe Martin is Gang Attacks, I think I did one to shut somebody up. Possibly it was Trevor though.

What's more annoying is the job filter is broken. I have mine set to Rockstar created only and all I get is parkour invites. Literally hundreds of them!

 

Job filter is only for quick jobs, not for invites.

A survival in this case. My 2nd char still gets Ron calls for cratedrops. I told him a few times now that there are no crate drops on CG anymore. He is either high or stalks my lady. I guess both.

It's been a while, but I think that refers to Gang Attacks. If not just try calling him and seeing what the options are (I haven't done this for years). Maybe accept a mission from him?

 

 

If you get calls from Ron, Lester, Martin, Dom, Brucie, or Gerald, it's because you haven't called them to request a job, locate a vehicle, or use there abilities, yet. You have no room to complain because you've avoided these calls from the beginning.

 

 

To be fair they only added the disable-by-using thing in a later patch, so if you answered all the calls prior to this you have to do it again.

 

Always read your patch notes kids.

 

I've done a couple of gang attacks and I've done some of his missions and even called and requested a few as well.

I found the patch relevant notes, 1.13:

 

 

 

Players will no longer receive reminder phone calls for player abilities once they have used that ability.

 

So there's no list, I guess you just have to figure it out from what they say in the calls. Or Google.

Lester doesn't stop "... I can help you... *chuckle*..." I use his services frequently due to daily objectives. He still calls. Maybe its less frequent. I do agree that Brucie doesn't call after using the bullsh*t testosterone

I have ... I believe i've used nearly all of his services ... several of them are involved in daily objectives which I do religiously.

I didn't start playing til october 2015 - shortly before low riders. I don't know - there is probably a magical thing that i havent used on Lester that will stop him calling I usually just quick hit B to hang up. The only annoying then is if I was in the middle of typing a chat message. But, chat is annoying all over the place getting disrupted by lots of things so...

Again, calling Lester for a vehicle spawns that vehicle even when aircraft don't usually spawn (missions and so on).

 

It's vital if you don't own any aircraft yourself for eg High Priority Case.

My problem is with that bitch Martin and his lame ass adversary modes. Every 5 f*cking minutes.

 

Now this I agree with, I've turned notifications off now so I can't see adversary mode invites every 2 minutes, they should have kept that like the original
