Anyone else disappointed how they handled the GTA IV characters?

Again, it's like having the wheelchair-bound guy walking out of nowhere. It's on that level of character change with no explanation. And you can't deny that Johnny would've made a better antagonist for Trevor than Wei Cheng.

If you're referring to Lester, it's clear that his disability doesn't leave him permanently wheelchair bound. He's mobile to a limited degree, and we have no idea how much he's milking it. If he's seen running during gameplay, that's more of a programming oversight than poor character development.

 

People in wheelchairs aren't always completely confined to them. I have patients, for instance, that are in wheelchairs much of the time, but they can get up and walk with a cane or walker when needed. I don't recall the scene you are talking about with him running. But if a person's life is threatened, they could, conceivably gain adrenaline induced strength and maybe, possibly (though not terribly likely) even "run" awkwardly for very short spurts before collapsing. Again, not sure what scene you are referring to, so I can't really comment.

Because they wanted to. What's the damn problem? From Trevor's point of view, he was a pussy meth addict pissing him off. Why do you think the guy apologised to Trevor like a goddamn baby as soon as he talked sh*t on Trevor for f*cking Ashley? Because from Johnny's point of view, he was scared sh*tless of him. Johnny already knew Trevor, like Trevor already knew Johnny and the Lost, it was all developed in the writing and story from the start.

Rockstar got me with IV, when they DUMPED their entire universe, flushing the BEST characters down the proverbial toilet. And not just one, like Johnny, but all of them, summarily! Rockstar "got you" with Johnny. So maybe in the future, just play the games, if you choose. Enjoy them if you choose. But for the love of everything holy, don't get too attached to the characters....any of them!

 

 

 

 

they never killed anyone in the 3D era. they just said it's a different universe. tommy, CJ, and toni never gotten stupid deaths.

Yeah, it's not a plot hole because it's totally logical that he'd be so emotional over Ashley, even though he never was to that degree in TLAD and explicitly said he was done with her at the end of the game. Totally logical.

 

I agree it isn't a plot hole. Because you are dealing with a meth head in V, regardless of who he was before he fell from grace. Obviously they got back together after the events of TLaD and maybe that's what started Johnny's downward spiral culminating beautifully on Trevor's shoe?

It does NOT contradict the story, or the previous story as you do not know what happened in the 5 year period between both instances.

I can't think of any other reason to say someone "has no logic" unless to insult them. Not that I'm offended, as it's quite obviously untrue. If I'm not yelling cockstar sherk cerdz then I must be a fan boy right? I think GTA games are good games, I don't think any story is particularly strong, and I don't think V is any weaker than most open world stories. In fact, most open world stories (these days) are the same cut and paste sh*t from the game before. At least R* tried something different.

And no mod warned me. You were the one warned about attacks and "insulting someone's age." No part of Craig's post was directed at me. And while we're on the subject, you are the one getting all your posts deleted and getting warned, NOT ME. You really want to open that particular can of worms?
