I don't think so. I mistakenly bought it rather than hire it via the VIP like for most of those vehicles. I can ignore most jets, well everyone in an Insurgent(weave a bit throw bombs), not so with the AS.

Reminds me of when I used to play Battlestations on 360 and people could never pronounce, or even spell Yamato. "Yamoto", "Yamamoto", "Yomoto", etc.....

 

As someone has rightfully explained, none of the vehicles in this game are bulletproof. Not even the tank, as far as I'm aware (technically).

I may be giving away a secret but I learnt last night the best way to get a Kuruma is from behind, was in a lobby to claim a bounty

last night and got run over a few times but got a lucky spawn behind it and got a lock and kill through the rear window.

 

Afterwards I looked and realized the rear window has no protection thus it would appear quite easy to shoot and kill the drive in

a street chase with your AP PIstol or Machine Pistol?

Done that quite some times with the AP. I then bounty them once i kill them and plant a sticky on the Kuruma and then drive around nearby.

 

This taunts them to get after me, and then i blow them up without paying insurance. After that its mugger mw time as they spawn without a car to get into and have to call for as new one.

FYI the Kuruma doesn't protect you 100% neither. If you get close enough to someone while they are on foot, they can get you with the shotgun almost immediately, plus Kurumas are not impervious to explosives. The newer armored cars provide maximum protection until the windows break and they can eat one rocket. These vehicles are also very effective at running people over, again until the windows break. It would be stupid to have a vehicle in game where when driven, no one could hurt you.

This topic has been beaten to death so much, I swear. No vehicles are really bulletproff. Eventually, they WILL be destroyed. Some are just more resistant than others.

 

Edit: The Insurgent trades resistant windows for more weight and bullet/explosive resistance. I think it was to...you know.....balance the game.

I always find it funny when I do the mission Hard Labor (I think it's what the name is) and people in Kurumas are trying to drive up there and get stuck. I used roll with the Kuruma too on missions but it's just too damn boring and the car drives like garbage. Really prefer my new Armored Cog. Driveability, safety, and style. The trifecta you need to complete every mission hassle free.

 

Anyway, while free roaming and if you can even be arsed about it, just throw a bounty on any AK griefer and watch them run for the hills. Or blow them up and save yourself from the insurance bill. They used to be a nuisance but now I hardly ever see people using them in free roam.

I did know you could purchase it through the website, but rarely ever encountered one in traffic. I find it ugly, though. The spoiler in LSC makes it even uglier, to be honest.

Well, I wouldn't know because I always have millions on me, so I will always have the money for the insurance as a result.
