The Insurgent SUV is a total waste of $$$ You cant rely on it too keep you alive. The Karuma is irreplaceable in regards to overall protection. I'm sure everyone know this but I thought id just throw it out there;)

Sell yours. I drive mine everyday.

Me too. I just use it to make it my right of way in Los Santos and show them who owns the road. ;)

Nothing is bullet-proof, even Kuruma (Which is supposed to be bullet-proof, but kids cried so f*cking loud that the car got nerfed 3 times! even the NPCs can kill you while inside the Kuruma) is not bullet-proof.

Some people think it's the only option for contact missions, here is a text from some random I picked up in a mission

This just proves the amount of cowards there are out there. If they need an armored car for everything, just wow... Before we even had armored vehicles, missions with randoms were sometimes fun. Now its "get into my Kuruma"... dude f*ck your Kuruma. Be a man.

I take my Akuma bike to the "Get Some Bikes" portion of Pac Standard. I also get messaged "GET IN THE KUMUMA!1" f*ck that. It's faster on a bike and I actually get to shoot at people as opposed to sitting in a back seat while some knob with a twitchy finger careens wildly around.

I play heists religiously pretty much daily and 9 times out of 10 players with no Armored cars get slaughtered on most setups that require evading or fighting tons of bad guys or cops.

And dying wastes time and money in this game so I'd rather take the Kuruma noon than John Rambo on a bike or supercar

In my heist, I'd take hotrats773 on a bmx over a kuruma noob any day...

:inlove: @ Amy.. Same to you!

Agree that n00bs, until they have a chance to explore the great outdoors of the biker club, should stay where it's safe (FWIW, I'm not a rambo on that mission).

Have not seen many insurgents try to make the trip so the Kuruma is the great equalizer.

If you lie down and keep moving bullets aren't too dangerous. It is a bit illogical to have an armoured truck with windows so easy to shoot out, but it's for balance. The Insurgent is very explosive resistant. It is the go to vehicle for player hunting.

The Kuruma is not explosive-proof, and the insurance is cheap. I can assure you nobody will think twice about blowing up some dumbass in a Kuruma.

Also, it's not a fast car. It's fast relative to 4-door vehicles, but it's beaten by those motherf*cking Benefactors. Sports-class-wise, it's not even competitive.

Lastly, it's not completely bulletproof, or foolproof. Shotguns = dead. NPCs near you = dead. Hell, drive slowly past NPC = dead.

EDIT: That said, I want Benny's to work on ONLY THE UNARMORED Kuruma, and make it a rally car, like the Sultan. sh*t's gonna be tight around the dirt roads.

Maybe for and against dorks with no skill it's the go-to. A quick burst of auto buckshot in the eyeballs usually dispatches Insurgent gimps.

Insurgent players are the worst. People talk about the Lazer cannons being OP, the f*cking Insurgent is OP in FR.

I love the Insurgent just for that. Even more to screw Kuruma noobs over during missions if they act half assed.

Karuma is slow???? In relation to what? A Jet? My Karuma is fully modded and is a hell of a lot faster than an Insurgent.

Sorry but it's really bothering me, it's Kuruma and not karuma

Fast moving stick bomb hurling avoids most problems usually, and a person has to pick their target. I like to check the telly in the garage.

The Insurgent also means I can cross the map in peace, without going into passive mode.

"You are in a Kuruma, you pussy"

"You are in an Insurgent, you pussy"

"Get in my Jet and find out..."

This is funny.

My encounters with insurgents usually goes like this. I see one, theyre chasing me. I just bomb way ahead or out drive them. Get some space. Simply get out in a nice place to not get ran over wait for them to come around the corner and shoot them. Get back in my car and carry on. Insurgents have caused no problems for me. Same with Kuruma, out manuver them and RPG or you can even shoot them.

Jet Pilots get ignored.

Kuruma is the ultimate grinding machine, period.

Most of the best combat players I have crossed paths with are on foot or bikes.

Randoms with Kuruma means that they know what they are doing most of the time.

To me weither someone drives an insurgent or a kuruma, makes no difference. The Assault shotgun is the answer to both of them.

Just know how to lure those drivers into getting close to you. and the job's done.

Here's an idea, stop being a pussy hiding in an armored car, get out, and fight?

Stop being a pussy by getting out of your car and using weapons. Be a real man and keep ramming my car until impact damage kills me.

They don't. They get some kills, die, passive mode. Rinse and repeat.

I don't think the Insurgent needs to have bulletproof windows. The Insurgent has such power, mass and speed that it diminishes any real threat you can possibly come across. Police Interceptors and NOOSE Grangers get knocked out of the way with such ease that cops become a non-factor. Put the Police Transport or even the Riot in a blockade and the Insurgent will still charge right through them with only a minor decrease in momentum. When it comes to jets, tanks, attack choppers, other players and stickies, you name it. The Insurgent can handle it - well.

I saved up for the Insurgent months before I purchased the Armored Kuruma specifically because the Insurgent plows through situations that other cars would get knocked off course, critically damaged or pinned down. It doesn't matter how many stars you get, what icon you see on the map, what the terrain is, what explosions you encounter, etc. The Insurgent just keeps it moving. So for me, it's the ultimate getaway vehicle.

You can still be shot out of the Insurgent. I have been quite a few times. But that's balance in my opinion. It's a worthwhile trade off and not that big of a deal considering the fact that you can be shot out of most cars in general in GTA.

The only time I'll go on the offense in the Insurgent is against a tank, against another Insurgent or in a contact mission/heist that I think requires such a vehicle. I prefer my regular, non-armored personal vehicles as daily drivers.

Yeah, but they might get killed if they do that. It would be much better if the windows were bulletproof and there were massive rockets and explosive rounds, so that it could be the ultimate coward-mobile. Even better, despite the massive amount of armour, go passive anyway if you get attacked.

IMO (and just IMO) all these "bulletproof" vehicles should have glass like Baller LE, Schafter, etc, armored variants from Executive and Other Criminals, including Kuruma and Insurgent. The "armored" glass of Kuruma is more like a composite armor, and the "armored" glass of Insurgent is like acrylic.

Now that I think about it I did get shot out of the Insurgent a couple times. Also seemed I took more damage while in the Kuruma than normal. Not definitive but so far I would no change to the Insurgent.

Honestly, I didn't read the entire thread, that being said

both have 80% armor, so you still can get shot.

When I see a red blip Insurgent full off players heading my way I can't help but run straight at it and blast a few with my combat machine gun before getting squished or shot.
