Not bullet proof at all!

Have you tried backing it into people?

The Insurgent SUV is a total waste of $$$ You cant rely on it too keep you alive. The Karuma is irreplaceable in regards to overall protection. I'm sure everyone know this but I thought id just throw it out there;)

Alright buddy we'll see which car fares better against my Hydra's or Savage's explosive bulletsA Savage? Better get my revolver out then. Edited by Shneb

Yes, because giving the Insurgent both bullet-proof & explosion-proof armour is an excellent idea...

Jesus, are you aware how ludicrously OP that would be?

Insurgent is designed to protect from explosives not bulletproof glass. But it's high and has small windows wear a BP helm and duck using a button.

To be fair, look at the new Adversary Mode that was just released...You could almost see R* doing something like that.

Wait, you're comparing a SUV that can destroy half a city and resists even to nukes and a car which isn't even full bulletproof (shotgun, aim, enjoy)? Ok, OP, ok

It's called KURUMA FFFF...

OP, meet me in a public lobby.

You drive your Kuruma & I'll be in my Insurgent...we'll see who survives the showdown.

A great example of why the insurgent is my favorite. And also you're a year late

Karuma is slow???? In relation to what? A Jet? My Karuma is fully modded and is a hell of a lot faster than an Insurgent.

My fully upgraded Kuruma tops at 80 mph. That's not exactly fast. My fully upgraded Insurgent max speed is about the same, except a little more than 80 mph.

The Armoured Kuruma was probably Rockstar's biggest mistake regarding GTA:O. It has made players lazy and gave them ridiculous expectations from all other vehicles. You don't need that level of bullet protection for contact missions or for heists. Therefore, we don't need any other vehicles with that level of bullet protection.

Armoured Kuruma tops at 110 mph, Insurgent at 98. If you race the two side by side on a highway, you will see the Insurgent never catches up to a Kuruma. Do not trust in game speedometers.

Try driving reverse when you're with Insurgent. The back window is smaller.

Yeah reversing towards your target is the safest way in the insurgent

I like using my Armored Baller LE for free roam, best of both worlds. Still own and use my insurgent from time to time, it was never said the windows were supposed to be bullet proof, but as others have said, bulletproof helmet + ducking on CG will help you a lot.

Screw the Armored Kuruma though.

Has saying Karuma become an unfunny trend or are these who say it just plain stupid ?

I'm not sure if anybody has noticed, but the Insurgent and Insurgent Pick-up now have bullet resistant windows equal to the new Ballers and Schafters.

Lol the insurgents sheer mass is fun to play with, smash cars outta your way, take 6-8 explosives, me and my buddy drive around, sometimes backwards and we own the lobby, reverse + auto aiming passengers or stickys is insanely effective and fun to boot

True, its also fun to wrestle Kuruma drivers into submission 'also during missions when they ass around'. And then once you got them in a hold, call for an airstrike and throw it next to them. Now wait and see them blow up.

I've been on a break from the game, so didn't realise.

That must make them pretty lethal actually, especially the pick up.

I hope they keep this buffing vibe up with other vehicles.

Not sure if true, then that would be awesome or if troll wants us to get shot up while trying to test this.

These days is always 50/50. Unless its anything DLC troll related, then its just uNi trying to troll people again.

PS 100% armor upgraded Insurgent is beast. Still not sure why R* won't let us legally upgrade its armor in LSC.

It wouldn't be a waste, if R* didn't let every PV spawn in missions without side windows.

Sell yours. I drive mine everyday.

i think athiest1269 doesnt know how to duck.

not to mention you are bulletproof completely from the back at any other time.

and yes, rpg proof to a degree.

and lets not forget, if someone is trying to get you form the front, ram them hard and keep driving.

the insurgent is a defensive vehicle. its meant for retreat and withdrawl. a "cheese it!" van if you will.

the karuma is good for pve, making it so easy its boring tbh ( i see them in contact missions literally every time i play with randoms and its pathetic). otherwise its a deathtrap.

Insurgent might not be bulletproof but I'll be damned if it isn't a goddamn tank, max-tune it, put on off road wheels, get yourself some sticky bombs and there's not even a point in owning a tank anymore.

In fact, ever since I got help from here to make my Insurgent with 100% armor, my Rhino has been collecting dust.

You have to throw the stickies yourself? Yikes.

More often than not, people throw their stickies on me and promptly blow themselves up.

Arrows to Athens

That's because the Insurgent doesn't have bullet resistant windows like the Kuruma does. You can still get shot out of the Armoured Kuruma though, so it's not technically bulletproof.

If the OP is talking about using the Kuruma for free mode ...

It's only good for trolling. For actual fighting it's useless, since people will blow it up immediately (and rightfully so).

The Insurgent, on the other hand, won't blow up like that (which also comes in handy against tanks, jets, and Buzzards/Savages). Keep far back, and you can't be auto aimed. Besides, I hear it has had bullet resistant glass added?

Speedometers are wrong. They're there for mostly cosmetic reasons, to be honest. The Armoured Kuruma has a top speed of 110 mph when driving on a straight flat road, which is 2 mph slower than the regular Kuruma. It does, however, have very good acceleration, even better than the regular Kuruma.
