New Rhino Hunt adversary mode is ASS

It's one sided all right. If you completely disregard all the players that won when they were in dune buggys.

Where are they then? I don't see them.

All this mode has shown us is the true colours of everyone on this forum. People who actually care about balance have denounced this mode. People who just like to whine at things that kill them (like you), have unknowingly shown up that you don't care one bit about balance.

Played a few of these this morning. Only player in a tank that lost was rank 2.

Tells me all I need to know.

To be fair, it can be done (hunters stick together, lure tank to where a sh*t load of stickies are placed and winning) if everyone works together but when you're stuck with randoms who run about like headless chickens....

I actually felt like a c*nt being the guy in the tank for like 3/4 rounds in a row against two guys, I'll probably set some rules so this is fun and balanced when I play with friends tonight.

This is definitely a mode to not be taken seriously and is only really fun with friends, I've said this about quite a lot of the past few adv modes tbh

I wanted to get my opinion by trying it out. Its unbalanced. Its possible to win as the hunters but its a lot harder and a lot more frustrating to do....

The closest to being a balance game as you can get is if you are 5 players. You'll get 4 hunters against 1 rhino

Does this mean the tanks armour may finally be reinstated, because basically they are putting tank on shop window with a hope to selling it , surly if you purchased it only to find they sold you the cardboard version they would be breaking some kind consumer law ?

After playing a couple rounds of this, I don't know what's worse. This Garbage, or the crap that is Come out and Play where it's Auto Aim vs Free Aim basically. You gotta wonder just goes on in the Developers Meetings when discussing new content.

Well if you have no will to connect and communicate with other players then you wait for them to be around the tank, you can't kill 4 cars at once if they are on 4 different sides of you, you'll progressively have to turn the turret and tank to get each one (noted they are also moving. By the time the tank has made a quarter rotation and killed 2 people, the other two are either close or have a good opportunity to attack. If you, being the sentient one with the understanding that you must attack the back, is one of the two, even if the other guy isn't then you've practically won. It takes 6 sticky bombs to the back on the take to destroy it, you can throw 5, so if you detonate and add one more or attack when the tank has already taken damage then you win (method per tank of course - with 2 tanks it would be done twice or with 2 separate teams of people.) The game mode isn't designed bad, the design is just simple to different and alien to what we understand grand theft auto to be. Gta online is seen as an mmorpg, it technically is because it is a multiplayer online game that is on what we see to be a massive scale (for Western rpgs), and it does have role playing elements that vary depending on who you are (ex: Icantthinkofonew the helicopter enthusiast and pilot, SIXGOD666 the street level criminal.) Generally the game is an action/adventure, adventure because of the story and the exploring and such, and action because of the shooting and running and driving and so on and so forth. But what we never really acknowledge is that gta online is part strategy. there are 16 different ways to drive cars due to different traction, speed, acceleration, etc being different across hundreds of vehicles. This means there is a right way to drive each vehicle so you have full control of the vehicle itself and the concept of what the vehicle does on its own, that's strategy. This game mode is the same way, you have to think about what you are going to do before you do it and then wait for the right time to attack. Things like that don't line up with your typical "Go around and kill everyone" gta logic because at heart it's action/adventure. The problem isn't the game mode being terrible, it's just that a lot of us are not in sync with that style of play, we don't get the strategy aspect or we just don't care because we have grown into the idea that everything plays the same - kill kill kill. Just my 2 cents anyway.

What exactly is the tank doing while these 4 cars are taking position on 4 different sides? Is it just standing there and watching you all take position like some anime battle? Or have you found out a glitch in the respawning algorithm that causes cars to spawn perfectly around the tank?

I'm going to repeat myself. It is not balanced. All the elaborate scenarios posted by you and others assume the tank is just sitting there like a moron. It's a tank! It has incredible range, the turret turns very fast and shoots with incredible accuracy (with a mouse anyway), it can shoot about one shell per second, it has great speed on flat surfaces. Unless the player inside is clueless, he is going to foil your plan. He is not going to let you apply your MMO Raid boss strategy perfectly.

Another massive issue that I have already mentioned before is that even if you win, it doesn't look like a win. Yeah, you managed to blow up a tank but the player inside got 20+ kills before you did it. I'd take that loss any day.

R*s recent content output has been massively terrible. Each update is like a pipe of slurry, pouring out of your console, onto your living room floor.

This is the kind of thing sh*tty created content deathmatches are made of. Someone should fire their creative team.

Jesus, where is my tiny violin?

We are less than 3 months from a massive update (and spare me "I didn't care for it, because no one cares."). 3 months. What other game updates like this?

STFU and don't play the game. Stop squealing like a 6 year old girl who couldn't have cookies for dinner.

just have a friend stick 5 sticky bombs on your vehicle and then drive into the tank and have them blow them up.

If you want me to use strategy, don't make sh*t so unbalanced, don't make sticky throwing a lottery where one lands 2 feet from you and the other 2 blocks away, get rid of lag. You're trying to say that we should use strategy on a game designed to be the complete opposite. If you're right behind the tank there is no such thing. What I'm saying is that this mode is designed for you to use strategy but the players like you don't understand that. If you didn't notice, the hunter have infinite lives and the tanks have one each, that and the fact that when the tank kills a person over and over it does not award them points... because that's not the point of the game mode.

Well if you have no will to connect and communicate with other players then you wait for them to be around the tank, you can't kill 4 cars at once if they are on 4 different sides of you, you'll progressively have to turn the turret and tank to get each one (noted they are also moving. I'm sorry for believing you were trying to be civil with me. First of all the game mode is balanced, the tanks have less members less lives but more strength while the hunters have more members more lives and less strength, do you not see how that's balanced? If not then you simply don't understand how game design works. The senarios are not elaborate, and I don't assume the player is stagnant, in fact I clearly state that everyone is moving. 4 players don't have to be evenly scattered but that example was a template for the point that no matter how good the tank is or how smart the player is, they can't focus on everyone, if they are not focusing on the one who gets behind them then they are vulnerable. That person could throw all the stickies they can and practically kill the tank, this could be a minute in and the tank could have killed that player 20 times but it doesn't matter, the game doesn't care and will not award the tank with money because they did that, they get the second place prize and it's over. You don't decide how this game mode is played and you don't decide who wins, the game will tell you at the end when the time runs out or when the tanks are dead. If you u don't like what it has to tell you then too bad. And also, having played this quite a few time now and having killed many different people with this strategy it comes to prove that either you are wrong, or there's a good handful of idiots on here, surprise surprise.

What's the objective of the mode? Like what does each team have to do?

Rhino - Kill Hunters to end of time limit.

Hunters - Kill Rhino within time limit.

What weapons do the hunters have?

We can agree on that. kd is nothing but a useless stat. I still don't feel like a winner if I get killed multiple times before killing my enemy once.

I can't believe the Tank is giving people so much trouble, I was led to believe the Tank was weak sauce

Anyways haven't played it yet but I would assume you need to attack together, the tanks fire rate is pretty slow so only a couple dudes would die though kinda unfair since the last lucky bastard gets to be the next twanker. The wide open space bs is totally on R* though.

Look at it this way... The Rhino armor during the adv mode works like the armor on the Savage during the heist. During Free Mode, paper armor for both.

Anyone else is going to mention the fact that if the rhino tank wins, it's still the same player in the tank afterwards!??? And why is pvp ratio brought onto this mode?????
