It's terrible. A complete failure. Everyone's in agreement other than you two, who evidently have some weird bromance going on.

People are entitled to their own opinions. Trust me, I don't like this mode much either, but I'm not going to bash on people who may like it. What you saw isn't a bromance, it is simply an agreement of opinions.

It's cool. I don't let these types affect me. I have done some freemoding with Mach and we are friends. He is able to think on his feet. As you can see most cannot think on their feet...if at all.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but R* should make Rockets v Insurgents and Bumper Cars into "official" adversary modes, I think they're really fun.

 

Actually I've played some Rockets vs Insurgents and had fun with it too. That one's actually balanced, unlike this rubbish.

 

Of all the things to make official, why did it have to be $$+rp?

I haven't tried it yet bc I'm still playing double missions, and I sure as heck won't leave the voting screen just to try this out. lol

But from what I read here it seems terrible, dafuq was R* thinking, did they employ 10 year olds to come up with new ideas for adversay?

 

I will try it eventually though, but I already know I will hate it.

I'll say it again, the basic problem is that beta testing and mission design is done by a bunch of friendly coworkers sitting in a room together, working together, with no 12 year old ADHD squeakers on their teams.

 

Working together you can easily bring down a tank with 2 or 3 players, and it's probably quite fun, but this ain't your games room bruh. Hire some external beta testers

Actually I'd have to be a troll in that thread as I've been looking for a mode that involves the buses of the game more...but that's because I like buses, maybe I should make

it as a Last Team Standing and see what happens.

well , don't play it then

the thin-armor from the rhino revert back to original armor exclusively for this mode

So:

 

In free mode, where tanks have to deal with jets and helicopters, they have paper thin armour.

 

In some spawn trap adversary mode, where tanks have to deal with defenseless little dune buggies, they get buffed armour?

 

Uh, logic?

 

Its genius! All the noobs will think the tank is amazing and buy it with all that x2 $$ and will be decimated in free roam!

The only way to work some of these Adversary modes is to work as a team, and as somebody pointed out the testers are probably all together and know each other. The minute that you get a group of lone wolfs of course they just all rush the tank without a plan and just get picked off... if you all rush the tank for different directions in a synchronized attack you might have a chance, or lure the tank into a situation where you can limit the exposure to his cannon

Agreed. Smart play is key. As you can tell from this forum it is severely lacking.

If you are good at pvp you will like. If you aren't then you won't. Like all pvp modes.

I'm pretty good at PvP but this adversary mode is way unbalanced. They could have at least given us Insurgents, but no. We got BF Injections and Dune Buggies instead :lol:

Everyone saying teamwork and strategy will make the hunters win is assuming the Rhino team isn't going to be doing any of that.

 

Two tanks, with their backs turned to each other, have every angle covered, and can spot any hunters coming from miles off. Unless there's only one tank, or the drivers are literally brain - dead, they're not going to lose to the hunters.

It is a bit crap, isn't it? The only adversary mode I've really enjoyed is Hunting Pack. Wish they'd put some more thought into more complex mission ideas instead of all this simplistic fluff.

Well I'm glad this BS got the overwhelmingly negative reaction it deserved.

 

So sick of rubbish being sucked up to because people don't like complaining. I mean, this kind of garbage needs to stop getting made. They hit a new low this time. $$+rp? Really?

Really bugs me that Hunting Pack is basically how EVERY SINGLE PLAYER races in GTA, yet you can never fill a lobby. I love that mode, really good at it but it's rare to get invited.

Played it this morning as Rhino against a few people. All I needed was to drive up and down the main runaway and shoot them.

 

Eventually they tried to actually play together and round on me. They did use a bunch of stickies by then, but having mega armour on the tank, it was easy.

 

The idea for the mode is actually fun, but the current setup makes no sense.

The worst that giving it a try will do to me is make me grumpy for an hour at the most and drop my kd by a few points.

 

Isn't it a very similar setup to all these lame "Parkour" deathmatches we get? One person gets the superweapon, while everyone else is just cannon fodder.

 

True, but like I intimated above, content created by the public is always going to be proportionally haphazard, this is content created by R*, which is a massive disappointment.

 

I have played "Rockets vs Insurgents" more than I have played any R* jobs in the last 6 months.

The sole objective for the tank is to survive (not exactly difficult). Not been on the tank team yet, but from what I've seen there is no objective for the tank to reach.

There is a timer. Camping in a hangar might be a good idea, but the hunters get a few seconds of invincibility on respawn so depending on the respawn locations, they may be able to just get close to you while invincible. So instead of being flanked, you might get rushed.

 

I've played as a tank twice (never again) and the best tactic seems to remain in motion. The airports give you a lot of flat surface and open area to pick targets from far away. As long as you are always moving away from freshly spawned hunters, you can easily avoid being flanked.

I realised this earlier R* doesn't seem to test their game modes out.

Also note how other multiplayer games such as CS mess around with the coding and they start playing and whatever is fun gets developed into a game mode, R* don't do that, they just imagine it in their heads and think it would be all right.

Anyway I haven't tried it out but based off what I'm hearing I don't have high expectations
