If I decided not to have Gold Membership, Will I still get updates?

My membership is up soon, I primarily play story mode.

So, without member ship, will I still get updates from r* or not.

(Yes, I have internet connection & SC member.)

So damn odd that without gold membership updates for online continuous is a question beyond me! I'm at a lost for words. I guess the true way to not get any updates from them is to unlink my membership with SC, the end.

So I'll purchase gold membership with no worries of r* filling my memory with bs I don't need.

 

No wonder on google I'm reading some disturbing news about them.

You're welcome, but keep in mind that you'll still receive updates for games regardless if you have an account linked with them or not (in this case it's SC). The true way to stop updates from coming in is to disconnect your console from your internet connection altogether. As long as you're connected to the internet, you'll receive an update when you start the game (or in the case of a system update, you'll automatically receive one upon startup)

Well, I can't give up Internet for them. Guess I'm screwed either way. I'll keep the SC alive, get gold..and accept it.
