I used to own the Aus version of GTA III when my friend from Melbourne gave me a copy of GTA III back in 2012. Sadly, it didn't work due to region lock. Still the cover is great. Unique, but I also love the GTA 2 cover as well. Showing a guy stealing a car is simple, but it's a great cover.

Now this makes me think, how would the covers of GTAs released after III would look like if they were designed off this one or the PC one instead of the NA one? That's a very valid thought. What Vehicle would each Game feature?

 

Here's my Possible List;

 

VC: White Admiral.

SA: Sweet's Greenwood.

LCS: Leone Sentinel.

VCS: Polaris V8.

 

IV: Romans Taxi.

TLAD: Johnny's Hexer.

TBOGT: 'Club' Schafter.

 

V: Michael's Tailgater, Trevor's Bodhi, and Franklin's Buffalo.

My favorite is the GTA IV-cover. The drawings are much better instead of the rest, and it looks like a little bit 3D.

Gta San Andreas for me. It gives us a very good feeling. Includes most of the aspects present in main game. I loved its cover even back when it came out. It also has best artworks by fans and officially developed according to me.

GTA III : A couple of characters are unseen in game.

GTA2 The Cars & People Make a Dramatic scene

GTA2 gives off a vibe none of the others do. The crowed streets indicating that you as a criminal are not alone. The man (Claude?) stealing the taxi indicating that the game is focused heavy on car theft and it doesn't matter what you drive, you are at risk of being a victim. And the cross hairs of the sniper indicate that no one, regardless of their criminal notoriety, is safe from a bullet as betrayal has its price.

 

The whole artwork just sums of what GTA is about, or was about anyway.

IV for me.

It has that similar tone/coloring to SA's, but it seems like the people who made IV's were a little more 'skilled' or 'experienced', as you can kinda tell by the increased detail in the shading and lighting to give it a bit of a 3D effect, or they just didn't want it to look like that for SA.

 

V's looks way too fake and computer edited imo. Bloom especially is way too over done for my taste.
