its a shame R* gave the huge money bonus to CMM instead of the elite challenge which is actually hard

 

^^^This..CMM is a walk in the park compared to elites, Was not much of a challenge tbh. Use cover, snacks , armor, dont die, just the basics of the game.

the way i plan each setup and finales by taking advantage of in-game environment and map ( or something like google map ) . by gathering info about environment ( such as vantage point at rooftop ) and screenshotting the map ( such as marking strong or weak point , spawn point )

Yeah I thought about that, but I think I'll just wait until I make the jump to PS4(I scheduledd myself to acquire one on this christmas).

Seeing the lack of skills most people still have and the fact finding people to do the challenge with got easier i woud not be suprised if a few skilless woud git gut, do the challenge and make threads about it now and then untill gtao is finished

I completed it like a week or so after the heists came out. First try. But I also had a team all with mics, all already friends ready to do it, so that is probably why. Glad you managed to get it done. In a few months from now, you'll look back on it the next time someone makes a thread liek this and be like "Ahh, I remember this, it was so easy;" but really, even though it probably wasn't the hardest thing in the world, it does feel incredibly good. The rush you get when you're riding away in that boat at the end knowing you scored 10 mil is freaking phenomenal.

I finished the CMM this weekend too. Was prepared to shut it down if someone died, but didn't need to, no one was killed. It was surprisingly easier than I thought. Hardest part, as others said, was getting four people together. I do have a question for the forum as this is a bit confusing to me. Here is the reader's digest version of what happened:

 

Started with four members. We split up in two groups of two each completing the Flecca job. One of the guys crapped out on us (lame excuse about his internet going down--it was funny, I could hear him in the background having a serious conversation about some boxes that needed to be moved. I think I was dealing with a real life hustler, but that is another matter). We then found another guy who was ready to sub in. I wasn't sure if the two of us that completed Flecca and were remaining in needed to redo Flecca, but to be on the safe side, we did. After the new guy completed Flecca with our fourth, we joined for the first set up of prison break. As soon as we did, I got a notice that my loyalty had been reset. Now, I do realize we have a different fourth, but in my mind we started all over again, with me even redoing Flecca. When I finished the CMM, it showed me 3 short. My immediate thought is that Flecca is 2 set ups plus the Heist, but can't understand how it could possibly be he case that Flecca wasn't considered completed since I did it with one of the four that I completed CMM with. Anyone have any thoughts?

My impression is that losing progress on the loyalty for fleeca is a moderately common bug. For the group I did CM with, two got loyalty, one was three short, and I had already done it. For the group I did loyalty with, three got it, one lost progress somewhere.

CMM with a good team with mics, Heavy Vest, and for some setups The Kuruma is pretty easy. There's always a chance somebody makes a dumb ooops, but as long as you all power off as soon as you see the Death Notice, progress should still stay. The most fun I had with GTAO was prolly my CMM run last year. Actually did it twice cause it was fun.

Yeah, that is what I would say too. I have not really done the Heists in a long time (except Pac Std which is my money source) so they were a bit fresh. But hanging out with the same group for 8 hours or whatever it was, we had a lot of fun together. Even came up with a trophy name for the guy who had the most non-death f*ck ups (sad to say I got it). I think years from now when I am done playing this game, this weekend will be one of the things I remember most fondly. I imagine whether this is true for you has a lot to do with how cool your group is.

lol, having issues with pegasus lately. i thought op meant pegasus didnt despawn on him when he got near it after 3 attempts. it took me 10 minutes to spawn my tank. i didnt even want it but damn it i was going to make it spawn even if it took all day.

Anyways he kept dying, couldn't drive or fly or shoot, so the rest of us tried to carry him, and then another guy died cause he didn't know how to parachute properly in the 3rd finale

Worst of all, only that guy got the CMM when we were done, he had time to exit the game every time he'd die to save his progress, while with me I'd get the reset notification well before I knew anyone died

 

I'm trying it again on Thursday, hope these people are better >_<

hmm....why not bring them in for some exercises ?

say first person couldn't shoot , drive properly or fly ? try bring him in ammu-nation shooting range/survival , makeshift driving school job or participate the flight race / flight school

while second person , well since every helicopter grant parachutes infinitely , you could pilot a helicopter , transport this person high in sky and once he jump , pick him up then do it again till he mastered it

I managed to complete it in two nights with 2 fellow forum members and a good friend of mine. As someone mentioned, it's mostly about endurance. It also helps if you're able to unplug the power chord immediately after someone dies, we only had to do it twice though.
