Most jet pilots would just dive bomb you, or if that's not possible, wait high up in the sky until you're in a position where they can dive bomb you.

any mounted weapons will work since they has unlimited ammo , no delay , no cooldown or even reuse

though there are 4 mounted weapon ( for passenger ) in the game , each had different qualities :

Technical , equavlient to Light machine gun MG . having an iron sight for first person , lighter to move and cheap but less powerful than insurgent

insurgent pickup , counterpart of combat MG . powerful , no delay firing and very resistant to explosion but expensive and no iron sight

turreted limo , mounted form of minigun . more powerful , high firing rate and able to take direct explosion but the barrel needed to spin first

valkyrie , Talons are normal minigun while beak is explosive . has crosshair ( unlike turreted limo ) , even powerful ( the beak ) and coverage of 3 direction but doesn't have many " feather " which make the helicopter cannot take explosives

 

i've used valkyrie as additional yacht weaponry

Damn that's awesome, I hear people talking about cargobobbing a tank to the yacht, this is much easier, nice spot on front of my boat. Gonna bring it to Vespucci beach!!

But is there a way to man the explosive gun on your own?

It works everytime, the jet has literally no physical way of beating this plan, if you position the insurgent correctly the jet is completely exposed as it tries to get the right angle to hit you, I did it about 10 times to some chump only last night and then he rage quit, he didnt get a single kill

For your information, I like to fly helicopters. Clue's in the pictures plastered all over my profile, numb skull.

 

I've just pointed out two easy ways to get around this defense. Both end up with a dead Insurgent, and a healthy jet. i.e. 1 - 0. Stop deluding yourself.

Usually you'd have a seperate driver, but in the instance that you didnt, you would just shoot the mugger from the gun, Im not even sure the mugger can pull out the gunner, Ive never seen it happen. Plus if you have the insurgent positioned correctly the jet still wouldnt have anywhere near enough time to get you in sights if you decided to get out and get in drivers seat first.
