Yes it would rebalance things in favour of ground players, but since online was released its been the other way round so ground players can legitmately have a couple of years with things in their favour to make things fair, and then after those couple of years they could work out an actual fairly balanced game.

Yeah 30 minutes sounds fair, that is a good compromise all round because the jet pussies can still go and steal one.

to be fair the laser is harder to deal with and id rather deal with a hydra

Ugh this game has enough cooldowns. What if you f*ck up your jet just doing sightseer or a mission? Maybe a long cooldown that starts when the jet is deployed? That way the people that it affects more are the people more likely to get their jet shot at.

You have to account for the availability of Lazers from Zancudo. A 30-minute cooldown (significantly longer than the easy Lazer pass called "Cops Turn Blind Eye") is just going to make people take Lazers more often.

 

Something inconvenient like 10 minutes is more likely to make people actually wait it out instead of driving to Zancudo.

There needs to be a difference between jet griefers and people who use them for practicality. I take out my Hydra most of the time because it's fast and has good spawn points. I don't see why I should be penalized for that. So make a cooldown that hurts jet griefers more because they go down more.

At least that costs 5k per time instead of $200...

 

30 Minute cooldown on armed vehicles would be a good move imo.

Just get rid of the damn thing and nerf the armour of the jets so I don't have to waste 50 mags of sniper ammo slightly damaging them.

The homing launcher was added to combat jet griefers...all its good for is destroying helicopters(which weren't hard to destroy in the 1st place)...the only way they can fix it now would be to make it travel further distances quicker.

And the people that want to casually fly normal planes and choppers with their friends without having to resort to Passive. You'd be surprised at how many players outside of GTAF don't even know that Invite-Only lobbies exist.

The funny thing is, most people deep down agree that jets are a little overpowered.

 

But you get people who just want everything easy, and make ridiculous requests (like getting rid of jets). So there'll probably never be enough people agreeing on what should be done, meaning that, most likely, nothing will ever happen.

How we feel it should happen is fairly irrelevant to what Rockstar would actually do.

 

People complained about the tank and Rockstar hit it hard. People wanted it buffed back into relevance and Rockstar continues to not care.

 

I believe Rockstar could care enough to nerf the jet eventually but they won't turn to us on how it will happen.

No they don't. In the jet, I make crazy loops and other things when someone fired the HL at me. There's NOTHING predictable about my "path".

I'm not one of those people who juts start flying in a circle. That's just dumb

You may want to look up the definition of a loop. Doesn't matter what you do, you'll maintain a constant heading for 2-3 seconds.

Wouldn't help. Jet too fast/HL too slow.

 

No worries, no worries. We'll just buff the sped a little bit.

 

Except when you shoot it, it just downs the jet anyway. Doesn't even have to hit it. Shoot at the ground, it blows up.

There are many ways to fix it. Give the minigun heavy revolver rounds and heavy sniper range.

I can tell you guys now as a former jet greifer the homing launcher should be completely removed. Its utterly useless against jets yet op against helicopters. Why not just replace the homing launcher with the railgun?
