Grand Theft Auto is much more than just Jacking cars. The only GTA game I'd call "Bad" is Vice City Stories. How the hell is Vice City Stories in any way bad? It's one of the most GTA games made. Its just going from San Andreas to Vice City stories felt like a few Steps backwards & it was a let down for me with almost everything in Vice City had to be dumped in order to meet the PSP's hardware limitations. That said, yea the empire building concept was cool. The only GTA game I'd call "Bad" is Vice City Stories. PhilBellic and I will find you and destroy every cell in your body. thatstupidbug Posted February 29, 2016 Share Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) a good gta must: - improve gameplay from his predecessor - expand the storyline (not just more mission, but more varied) - take advantage of new gameplay mechanic both in mission and open world (TBOGT allowed you to walk on trains in missions, but not on free roaming) - increase the way you interact with the world (more interiors, mote mundane stuffs to do, more interaction in interiors like tv, drinking, sleep etc...) - expand the toys (houses, veichles, weapons) - create a diverse feeling in the map (this doesn't mean you MUST have desert and mountains, but that different parts of the map should have a different feeling, from run down ghettoes to high-end appartments) - have a SINGLE protagonist with a SINGLE goal/storyline. yes, just one. San andreas (when they used cj in different storylines barely tied together) and V (multiple protagonist) had the weakest story progression, when nothing seems to really move toward the main goal. Victor's "I am good guy" attitude wasn't as compelling as Tommy's cutting people with a chainsaw for 250$. (You know the mission). Tommy was a bad badass.
