i wanted to quit as vip in the morning..

hey, so.. today morning i logged in to gta online just to quit vip before work than i turned my xbox off.. now 12 hours later I launched the game and im still vip.. how? anyone can explain it to me please?

You probably quit the game before it saved your progress to the Rockstar game services. You have to wait until the spinning orange circle appears, and then goes, then your progress was saved.
