Are Mansions Rockstar's last "Ace in the hole"?

If casinos release, I hope you all know that casinos make money by screwing you over.

They dont...thats why they still wish for it.

Even more tactical games like poker...i doubt most people that moan for it are even decent enough to compete against a program set on easy

i personaly hope they release it though...i like people going self-destructive because of overconfidence and stupid, especialy if they come moaning about it on this forum like any person with brains even woud give a f*ck

I feel like mansions and casinos would be cool. However I get tired of going onto social club and seeing people leaving comments demanding these things as if their entitled to them. Just watch if they do come out, because most of the people that are demanding them will then be complaing later about the prices later.

Im guessing the ability to own (or be part owner of) businesses could be a money maker for them as well. Or maybe the ability to run an illegal enterprise that requires some sort of expensive re-up like selling coke. Who knows. Not to mention, as others said, the Casino surely can sap your pockets and what if they introduced things like horse racing or winner takes all races etc.

We were told $50 million for yachts (or that was a common number).

 

Mansions will NOT be more than $10M. Mark me down for this. No way are they catering to the Modders and Script Kiddies who would be the only ones who could really buy in at $30m. Just not gong to happen.

Go in and bet all money on red at the roulette wheel.

If you win, save and repeat.

If you lose, restore and try again.

If they gave us a constant flow of cars and actually tried to make them as detailed and unique as possible, they'd make recenue there.

 

But no, they did a slap job for the most part and you've got players claiming they get tired of the cars in a day or that they feel like reskins or suck to drive.

Yeah I would be down with this Shadow. The aircraft carrier would be further out at sea but you could spawn your Hydra and Copters there (the increased distance you would have to fly would be like driving to get these things). We know the screens are already in there from the Heist.

 

I advocated for more to do in the water. So much of it, and with Yachts, we now have more people out there. They could add attack boats, scuba equipment that would allow more under water activity than the breathers, deep sea fisherman, etc. Bring the ocean to life.

 

I also like the private island idea. That would be awesome. Dock your yacht off the coast of your island. Make them customizable in the future.

Thanks. I really want to buy an attack boat from Pegasus. Scuba gear would be cool. I won a hold the package contest last week by swimming underwater for 8 minutes. They were not happy.

Oh man... hadn't even thought of that! Lovin' that idea. Big time.

 

Connected to increased water-based activity, I would love to see at least a few more rivers (wide enough for any Pegasus boat) added _through_ the existing map (giving access to boats that are currently more or less ostracized to the outside of the map, which keeps players from using them.

 

Granted, there are already a couple of waterways into the map (two into the Alamo Sea), but not enough practical connectivity for most people to want to use watercraft (e.g. I have often wished there were some Seasharks randomly scattered around the Alamo Sea, for those times when I was in a car and have to drive around it. IMO, until things like that happens, watercraft will remain vastly unused in-game.

 

One way to solve this is to add a large water-based interior cavern or series of enclosed connecting tunnels accessible only with watercraft (think the enclosed waterways connecting the ocean/beach to the urban area near Vespucci, but on a much larger scale). Those tunnels could connect up to points in the map, providing a new means of evasion from the LSPD, PvP boat chases, possible new usage of the rebreather or scuba gear, etc.; maybe even some tiny key access "holes" (like the pipes you swim through in the Humane Labs heist finale) that just add some serious new game play variety. Merryweather's Boat pickup could be put to good use if the player's watercraft gets blown up, etc.

 

Yachts have improved things a little--but still not much...I own a yacht for each character, but the times I use them, I always fly to/from because of access issues; just faster/easier with a chopper. Somehow an equal or similar benefit/incentive has to be given to water-based vehicles.

Why couldn't Rockstar set up a separate account in your bank where ALL Shark Card money went which could ONLY be used for buying in game items while all earned in game money goes into a separate account that could be used at the casino. Would that really be that hard to do if that was really the issue?

I'll admit, I was a little stressed out, so the wording wasn't very good. I apologize.

 

I should've said...No, and I don't think they're going to add them. We have apartments, penthouses and stilt houses now, so it wouldn't really make sense to have mansions. They'd have to have at least a 20-vehicle garage and wouldn't have much different than the other properties. Rockstar sometimes surprises us, but I just don't see it happening.
