When the heist update came out, all of the cars in Trevor's garage were gone because of a glitch in the special menu that made the Casco available and Rockstar thought that was so important to fix because you cannot have fun in Singleplayer with Online cars, and I just had to get my favorite cars get deleted and buy a Duke O'Death after I got it. DaWiesel
Threads like this are funny. Everybody leans to the "anti-complaint" side and that's exactly why threads like this don't last long. Blame blame blame. Learn how a forum works. Better yet, get your hesd out of your rectum and learn how to see things from many perspectives. Anti-complaint side? Don't be ridiculous. No one here is trying to prohibit people from complaining about the game. If anything, you're the one who needs to look at it from different perspectives. Because I did and yet you ignored the last two sentences of my post, where I addressed V fans who should be more open to criticism. But I do agree about this thread not lasting long, in fact it's actually worthless, there will always be fights between the people who like the game and the one's who don't. It was the case with IV, now with V and it will most certainly be the case with VI. shadowoperative

SP isn't broken, I've been playing through it recently and it seems smoother than ever on PS4. I've had random events and property missions disappear though. That's been a bug since release, which can be caused by switching to online so it can cause issues, just not quite as many as it might seem. There is a way to get MP vehicles into SP on current gen, it's a bug though and will probably be fixed at some point. I remember the heists update too, not the best week for SP. Some SP things have been fixed though, you couldn't talk to people inside interiors on current gen, it took months to be fixed and that was something seemingly small. Hood cam was added again and the way the screen flashes when you kill someone was addressed, I remember some didn't like that. Algonquin Assassin
I still play GTA V every now and then for bit of screwing around, but I don't think I cold muster the motivation to play through it entirely again. I realised that I simply don't enjoy the story since most of the characters piss me off. I'll always maintain that it's a good game at the very least, but not a great one. TheOneLibertonian
Honestly, I do like the game, I really do. I don't love it like VC or IV, but it's still a good game. I did not like the story or the characters, but it's still a very well polished and a very beautiful game. Especially on PS4. I love the amount of detail around the map, and I love the weather effects. V had some of the best weather effects for a game IMO. It's just fun to cruise around and enjoy the scenery. Also Golf and Tennis are fun activities too, but most of the activities within the game just felt filler and don't meant much to the actual game IMO. Final Verdict, I like it a lot, but I don't love it. Journey_95 and Algonquin Assassin

dyspoid
The thing I don't understand is why you guys argue so vehemently. Who cares if someone has a different opinion? Why do you care so much that if offends or bothers you? I think discussing things is great and debating games is something you do on a game forum, but why is it always so personal? This goes for fans and supporters. Journey_95, TheOneLibertonian, Gnocchi Flip Flops and 3 others

This goes for fans and supporters. No ideas. I guess this is how it works. You say something bad about V and then somebody gets offended and takes a stab at that person's favorite game. An argument pursues and, well, you know. Both sides are bad but judging from my observations, the "fans" like to play victim and place all of the blame on the haters when quite f*ckin' frankly, it's rare that I see someone praise the game and then get bashed for it. Unless it's some super fanboy who's clearly just a bit of a nut and we know who those are, who shall go unnamed. Osho
Yeah. Why so personal? I even received a message, don't want to name call [ that fool replied this thread, though ] taking objection towards criticising IV. I mean, wtf?! Its clear that some of the fan boys are really getting out of hand in their defence for that overrated IV. Not every one has to like that boring, uninteresting game being hailed for some deep storytelling, great plot development and characters. Lol..That is simply not true. IV has mediocre writing at best, with a flawed character and a complete mess of a plot. But each to their own. The appeal to the story in V is in getting involved in the moment to moment scripted events than looking at it as some great piece of writing or storytelling, which it succeeds to sone an extent, even though there are parts that really left me scratching my head. Misunderstood
Are any of us V fans posting in the IV thread currently? But what is your point??? So if we prefer IV to V, we automatically can not enter and post our opinions in a GTA V thread??? A good portion of us don't even hate it, we were just disappointed in some of it. That doesn't automatically mean we are IV trolls or "V haters" as some have come to call us. Osho
Its more common to see people bashing, criticising or expressing their dislikes against V, which is fine. But the moment you speak against IV, things are not that easy to ignore. I even feel some sort of uneasy, wrong, when it comes to moderating these people in dealing their out of hand attacks towards IV critics. shadowoperative

But the moment you speak against IV, things are not that easy to ignore. I even feel some sort of uneasy, wrong, when it comes to moderating these people in dealing their out of hand attacks towards IV critics. But it is not fine. The second we make a criticism about GTA V, no matter how small or large, we get called trolls and our opinions get trashed. Take a look at the character rate thread, where apparently 100% of the people who voted under 4/10 were just idiotic IV fans. Really? So when anyone criticizes the game, they just get labeled an IV fanboy and told to f*ck off. It's annoying. I'm not saying there aren't dickhead IV fans. Trust me, there are and there are just as equally as many dickhead V fans. Example of a good post: I think V's characters are better than IV because...... Example of a bait/troll post: I think V is great. IV is just garbage. Example of a good post: I think IV's LC is a better map than LS because.... Example of a bait/troll post: IV is f*cking perfect. Cockstar are idiots for creating the garbage that is V. See how the second one adds nothing to the thread and is just made to bait the dickhead and good IV/V fans? Maybe if both sides just stopped being dickheads, we could live in peace knowing that everyone has different opinions from one another. It doesn't matter if you prefer IV or V, this forum is for discussion so I wish people would stop getting their panties in a twist. Maibatsu545
Because all the other games in the series were brilliant and we're still fans, but think the direction the games are going is bad. You can still be a fan of a series and not like it's current iteration. What the fanboys don't understand is, people take the time to criticize R* because they're passionate about the series and know that Rockstar can do better. Fanboys don't understand that if you truly don't care and hate something, you won't bother spending time talking about it. It's no secret that Rockstar reads these forums occasionally. They can gauge how the fans are feeling pretty accurately as a result. and people who criticize the game want their voices to be heard. And they will continue to express that opinion, "year after year" and as long as it takes until R* listens, because that's what you do on a forum, you discuss things. People who criticize V usually have other hobbies like reading literature or enjoying fine art, and they want GTA to improve to the point where it could be held up with works from writers like Dostoyevsky or Mark Twain. Elevate it to something truly deeply artful. They are okay with the thought of a GTA game not being the be all and end of human experience, and can think about the game critically and without bias. (Usually. Sometimes people are just assholes, but you can tell the difference between someone who's a jerk and someone who truly cares) The real question is why can't the V fanboys handle someone criticizing the game? I think it boils down like this: You have your average fanboy, he loves this game, plays it 24/7, has no other hobbies outside GTA. The game is basically his fantasy land, probably has a sh*tty job/life and this is the only way he can escape to another world. He rushes home to play GTAOnline to get his daily fix and when he can't, he reads the forums. Then you have the people who criticize the game come along. They basically rain on his parade, and take them out of the bubble of their little fantasy land and make them realize that the game has flaws, even though it's their pride and joy. The fanboy reacts angrily and negatively to the criticism, and lash out, either overtly or with snark/sarcasm (I've seen my share of both from fanboys, most of whom have already posted in this thread, complaining about others hypocirtically). The real question is, why do people bother spending their time constantly defending a game they didn't work on, and a company they don't work for? This may just be a theory, but one really has to wonder why it upsets them so much. It must simply be because the sad fact is that GTA is their entire life, and when people criticize the game, it betrays their delusion of the perfect gaming experience, which deeply confuses and upsets them. Not trying to be insulting here, again it's just a theory. If this post enrages or upsets you then you need to have time for some introspection. Osho
@ Misunderstood That is what I am trying to say, too. People should counter opinions without attacking the posters and being personal. I don't understand why some people are so inclined to spit out insults, and can't counter opinions with something interesting, that helps someone to get along with the discussions in a healthy way. I don't insult people for speaking against SA. Still I have to face serious trolling attempts from people like Scaglietti whom I don't like to engage for their known insulting behavior but I'll have to take the flak for my freedom to speak out against the game, not him or any one personally. That's why people like shadowoperative who don't want to engage in wasting time with people like him are forced to handle them just because not only him, but no one will take it kindly, if one is stopped from speaking his mind within the confines of the forum rules. ChiroVitte is another example who doesn't like to engage with trolls but there's just too much of attacking going on that one can't either avoid being engulfed into all the unnecessary talks, or simply has to deal with them. CaptainBicycle
@Maibatsu lol, so if you like V you're a failure at life and if you criticize it you're a goddamn genius. I love V, but I also criticize the parts of it that are flaws imo, and love IV as well. What does that make me, bipolar? I'm sure even the biggest V fanboys are functional, normal people (except one who I'm certain is a troll, but no namecalling here because, I'm just a guy on the internet, who am I to make assumptions).
