silver paint

I was wondering if anybody knows how to make a good silver job for cars. I have seen npcs in cars with a nice silver paint job but I can't seem to replicate it myself. You guys have any ideas?

I will give that a try. It seems like everything I try is either too dark or to bright

On my Stirling GT and Schafter V12 (Armored) I use Stone Silver with Frost White pearlescent.

Use license plate glitch to put ice white pearlescent over brushed aluminum, looks real nice!

^ Yeah I found this to be closest to a "proper" German silver.

I always put a light blue or frost white pearl under a dark silver. Of course lighting makes all the difference really.

All the silver are flat looking unless you pick a car with the proper contours. Best I found is brushed metal with an ice white pearl

Use one of the light shade metallic Silvers & then apply a White or Cream pearlescent effect ... Your results may vary though.

 

I managed to duplicate a Sliver Aero finish on my String GT & a Metallic Silver on one of my Oracle XSs but couldn't duplicate it on my Dubsta.

 

I'll try Pure Metal Silver & Frozen Silver soon.

You can glitch a pearlescent over any paintjob by purchasing the paint you want, then backing out to the finish menu and entering Metallic. From there, don't buy anything, back out and purchase a car option, such as a plate, since it's cheapest, and the game will think you've gone and bought the metallic paintjob. From there, you can apply a pearl over whatever finish you were previously using.

 

This also comes in handy if the game stops reading that you have a metallic paintjob and all you want to do is change the pearl. Prevents you from needing to buy it again.

 

I think my Zentorno is actually bare Black Steel and Ice White. Shines like chrome in the rain, but is nowhere near as garish.

Pure Black (0,0,0) crew base with Brushed Steel texture and Pure White pearlescent, without a doubt. Not possible on any consoles right now though, unfortunately (without modding).
