Female protagonist, please! Would be interesting if it were a young girl in her late teens/early 20s (think the girl from the GTAV promo artwork) who just gets caught up in some bullsh!t. This could easily work if the game is set in a redesigned Vice City. Hell, maybe the protagonist can be Michael's daughter.

That actually gives me an idea: maybe she goes to Vice City to star in some reality TV show and it turns out the director is part of the Forelli crime family.

Yeah I agree one protag would be best. 2 at most if it fit the story.

3 is just too much to handle, especially if there isn't enough missions to do.

I like the concept of multiple protags and believe it offers a spectacular range of opportunities for both story and free roam. But I just don't want to see it in the next GTA or until they can come up with a GTA with a large enough map to where the 3 protags would each have their own city.

Story

. Return of the multiple protag system, maybe just with two this time (i'd quite like to see two brothers - one being the more serious ambitious, the other abit of a show-off)

. 1 Protag new to the city with very few connections and 1 who is already located there, both starting from the very bottom

. Start off small time selling drugs to in the end managing an empire (drugs/guns/range of businesses) and have many people work for you (rather than doing dumb tasks for others, well only at the start when your trying to get things started)

. Very gritty, darker story themes (drug addiction, prostitution, human trafficking)

. Alot of difficult decisions for us to make throughout the game (e.g. who we deal with, killing/sparing close friends), which can affect the outcome of story dramatically in some cases

. Greater emphasis on going from living in the struggle to living a lavish lifestyle, and how money changes the protags and somewhat contributes to them losing the people they care about

. A true antagonist that drives you want revenge

Game World

. Much larger than V!

. Large cities, country side towns, dense forests, desert plains, grassy hills, tall mountains and a much greater sense of isolation in the wilderness areas where you are not within earshot of a car engine

. Alot more interiors of all kinds - Fast food, Clothing, Tatoos, Guns/ammunition, Night clubs/bars, Musuems, Art Gallery's, Jewellers, Casino, Offices, 24/7's, Banks, Police/Fire stations, Hospitals and some residential properties (for home invasions/burglary)

. More secret areas (e.g. Caves, abandoned cabins)

. Detailed ocean with many underwater caves, sunken ships/planes etc. and collectibles

. Wider range of animals (with more realistic behaviours)

. More destructible map (e.g. walls, trees, shrubs[lol] )

Gameplay

. All activities from V (minus Yoga) + Drug/gun trafficking, pool, basketball, gambling, assassinations (more similar to gta 4's), fishing, (improved)hunting, convenience/liquor store hold ups, night club activities, boxing/fight club, clearing out gang hideouts/crack-houses/weed farms

. Some activities available from start and some that unlock as the story progresses to match the current situations of the protags (e.g. start the game selling grams on the corner, move your way up to setting up big money deals with other gangs and even over seas)

. Range of mini heists you can complete at any time each with their own difficulty ratings based on the potential 'take' (e.g. number of guards, police response times, security levels) - this stops us attempting the big money heists too early in the game

. Crew/gang Recruitment system with goons that you can call upon at any time to complete activities with, do mini heists/raids ,generally just mess around with or send on missions (similar to assassins creed brotherhood's assassin recruitment systems)

. More diverse peds who can be seen going shopping, going to work, doing activities and breaking the law too!

. More random events that can repeat themselves all over the map

. Police who spawn realistically (ie not directly down the path you've chosen to go down) and who have a realistic line of site and searching ability when they have lost site of you ('last seen location' like Hitman or Splinter cell maybe)

. Return of (optional) girlfriends

. Many purchasable businesses and homes ranging from 1 room apartments to huge mansions with many rooms, pools, body guards etc.

. Emphasis on lavish lifestyles with more expensive things to purchase (cars, houses, businesses, ridiculous clothes, diamond jewellery etc.)

. Reputation system where as your fame/power grows people will react differently to your presence (rival gangs will attack you and your properties, some peds will be intimidated)

. More/Better customisation for protags (hairstyles, clothes, tattoos) and their possessions (car mods, properties, crew members)

Theres my wishlist for Vl, quite a long I know  Remaining hopeful that some of the more last gen appropriate gameplay elements i've suggested can make V DLC!

I hated how in V you would keep your weapons after you died. It should instead be an unlockable feature like in SA or you should be able to buy your weapons back like in VCS.

SETTING: Liberty City (New York) (with a larger fresh map of course, definitely not a clone of IV's), I never thought I would end up wanting to go back to what I think is the most overused setting ever, but because it is the most overused setting is the reason I want to go back, because New York is a setting that is so overused, it is also a setting that has never reached it's full potential. The map should have 3 airports so we can have planes, one in the New Jersey equivalent, another two in the Brooklyn/Queens equivalent, I had a quick look a map and that should be accurate to real life.

WORLD DETAIL: The map should be more alive than any GTA yet (assuming next gen power is all it's cracked up to be), there should be (hijack-able) ferry's transporting passengers to the Liberty Island equivalent and other areas, (hijack-able) horse drawn carriages in the Central Park equivalent, etc. I want an improvement in environmental destruction, obviously not fully destructible buildings but things like destructible garages and other small structures, small walls should be destroyable, tree's should fall, small statues should be destroyable, doors should break off hinges, things like billboards and Times Square advertisements should be destroyable (only disabled for the latter), construction cranes should be able to be destroyed and please Rockstar, let us destroy trains!. Certain interiors should be exclusive to the setting to make it more unique, for exmaple, Grand Central needs and interior. Animals should return, a zoo should be included and domestic animals (such as dogs and cats) should also be in the game.

VEHICLES: Vehicle variety is a must for the setting to reach it's full potential (the main reason LC in IV never reached it's full potential is because of the lack of vehicle variety), we need everything that fits the setting, including golf cars, construction vehicles, lawn mowers (for houses in boroughs outside of the Manhattan equivalent and the golf courses), the previously mentioned ferries and horse drawn carriages, bicycles, to name a few, and we need a great variety of planes and helicopters as well as the return of the blimp, this time for regular copies of the game as well. Vehicle customisation also needs to stay. Trains should also be drivable, I know there is not too much appeal to driving a subway but it should be there for freedom. The Rhino Tank should be for singleplayer only, the APC should return and that should be for both singleplayer and multiplayer.

MISSIONS: Put variety before storytelling, like in GTA V, every mission should be something different, a train robbery mission would be great as well as another mission involving blowing up a yacht (said yacht should also be an obtainable vehicle and safehouse for that matter).

WEAPONS: The usual mixture of firearms as well as a minigun, flamethrower, pipe bombs, sticky bombs, grenade launcher, heat-seeking RPG, etc, as for melee weapons, anything that looks like it can be used as a weapon, should be able to be used as a weapon.

SIDE ACTIVITIES: Golf, tennis, basketball, races (land, air and sea), bank robberies and free roams, store and restaurant robberies, vehicle side missions (law enforcement vehicles, taxi's, ambulances, firetrucks, buses, etc), drug dealing, random events, strangers and freaks, manipulating the stock market, buying properties (both residential for player use (but don't remove quicksave) and commercial).

OTHER: Nightclubs should return due to demand but there should be NO dancing minigame (the reason I don't want nightclubs in GTA V is because there will inevitably be a dancing minigame), it should be like in GTA Vice City where the player enters a dancing animation when walking onto the dance floor. Buying rare vehicles should return, but it should also be able to be done via car dealerships as well as the internet.

STORY: I'm not picky on the plot but the multiple protagonist system needs to return, maybe one could be female this time (and this is coming from a male gamer, it would be nice to see a change).

That's all i've got for now, I may add more later.

I would like to see drug dealing, robberies and gambling return. And also, I want some of the iconic VC cars return with an HD rendition.

I would also like to see a drug dealing aspect. I am hoping the next GTA is set in Vice City so i want to see side missions where you take a boat down to the keys or to a Caribbean type island to pick up a shipment. And then carry it back into Vice to be distributed. Sort of like in the Scarface game. Then you have to purchase fronts in order to push the product through and launder your money. I also think some sort of empire management aspect would also be great as well. You have to manage your fronts and drug supply as well as your network of dealers on the streets and you have to handle the laundering of your money as well. Would be pretty sweet.

I hope there is a drug aspect, however after a few story missions it should become part of owning an 'empire' and therefore not a story mission.

I can't imagine them moving away from the heist aspect aftyer just one game, there is so much potential in that and also the multiple protagonist section, they have only just scratched the surface with regards to these two aspects.

I think GTA 6 should take place in two large midwestern cities, like having Chicago as the primary city, then Milwaukee as the secondary. No GTA games have yet taken place in the Chicago area, Chicago has a long history of organized crime that goes back all the way to the days of Capone. Even today Chicago has a larger crime rate than most cities. It would very cool and realistic to put the setting in Chicago. All the large buildings and casinos could be a nice part of a storyline.

With Chicago as the main city, their should a second city. Milwaukee is a bit smaller than Chicago and it is about 70 miles north. Milwaukee has always had a history of violence and secretive crime. Milwaukee is the most segregated and unfriendly city in America. Also the drunkest as a result of a large number of high rolling bars due to the large influence of German Irish tradition. The Milwaukee area and neighboring sub cities are surrounded by lots of rough neighborhoods that even dangerous criminals can survive in at night.

This setting could be known as the rumored Carcer City.

If there was a GTA with Chicago as the main city I personally would rather see either St. Louis or Detroit as the secondary city. A lot more recognizable than Milwaukee.

I would agree gtamann, but Detroit and Chicago are nearly the same environment, St Louis is bit to small to be a gangster city although don't get me wrong I love it with all my heart. Milwaukee and Chicago are tied very close together, not only historically but sport like as well. Chicago has acted as the big brother of Milwaukee. When it comes to an organized crime perspective, Detroit very poor and bankrupt. Realistically no mafia or syndicate would want to take it over.

GTA 6 should have a much larger map in General, you should also be able to customize your character and his/her name. Choose the gender, hair, image, and even voice etc.

Players should be able to access more than one city and map. also when the you complete the regular story, there should be something called EMPIRE MODE which is when your main character starts a gang/mob syndicate for them self. They purchase businesses, and build drug, gambling, prostitution, trafficking, arms dealing, import, robbery, smuggling, extortion, alcohol, union, and oil crime rigs. You should be able upgrade them to a level where they can be of great size and money. You should be able to recruit crooked people off the street who are interested in joining you. You can also be able call a hit on someone at any time.

Basically it would be a mixture of GTA Vice City stories and the Godfather 1 and 2 series games.

St. Louis is one of the most dangerous cities in the US and the Northern part as well as the Illinois side of the river are essentially third world countries with how bad the decay and crime is there. I think it would make a decent addition to a Chicago GTA. And Detroit is legendary for being a crime ridden hell hole as well as having an interesting history and some recognizable landmarks. Milwaukee would be an ok city but I personally would rather see the Lou and Detroit before Killwaukee

I agree with the Empire mode idea. Although I think it should be available during the main story as well and also be part of the main story. Like you have to earn a certain amount of money or gain a certain amount of territory in Empire mode before you can progress the main story missions. I would personally like to see this in a Vice City GTA. Managing a coke empire. And you have to amass a certain amount of money and control over the coke market to progress to the end game. Of course there will be side missions and stuff to do but the final; stages of the main storyline won't kick in until you have amassed like $250 million and 90% of the Vice coke market or something.

I think I am better off just writing a Concept at this point with all these ideas in my head.

Maybe all four cities should be included, because Im sick of always playing in San Andreas, Liberty, and Vice City. It gets boring after a while. Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, St Louis could be all part of the GTA 6 production. it would be an improvement.

I think that Empire should be added all through the game. Maybe there should be unlockables for your customized gang depending how far you are in the actual storyline.

The ultimate GTA game is a game that never ends. A game were you can sometimes control your storyline and destiny.

Just a word of advice: Don't double post so frequently. It will land you in trouble. Just edit your previous post.

And yeah it would be an interesting gameplay system. Im not sure exactly how it would all be implemented though. I guess I could see activating it from the desk in your office in your mansion or something. And being able to go through the menus to micromanage your empire and manage your finances and see data maps of gang control around the city. And you can contact your suppliers in South America to place orders and be able to contact your banker as well to launder money and your lawyer to deal with any disputes. Of course some of this will have to be done on the ground but a lot of it could be controlled through the interactive menus. And you could even access a lot of it through your phone.

I would also love to see a midwestern setting. Preferrably in the early 90's. To be more exact, I would like to see Carcer City.

To those who misconcept the city, I'll clear it up - Carcer City, the original Carcer from Manhunt, was mostly inspired from Philly, PA; Camden, NJ; Flint, MI; Gary, ID; East St. Louis, IL and Detroit, MI (derived from wikia). More than half of them are Midwestern Cities and all of them are Rust Belt cities. Also, don't forget there was a Denton City Junkyard (key word: Denton City) in Manhunt. Assuming that was in or near Carcer, let's incorporate that into our game. Now the reason I did this is that if you break down the list of inspirations for CC, you get 2 similar yet geographically different characters. The first being the Midwestern Rust Belt character in ESL, Gary, Flint and Detroit. The second, the Northeastern Rust Belt character in Philly and Cam. Now, since rockstar wants to put everything geo-wise (or close enough) in the HD Universe, let's divide these characters into Carcer and Denton respectively. Carcer, with all the midwest we want, as well as the addition of elements from Chicago, Cleveland, West St. Louis, and possibly Kansas City and Milwaukee. So, Carcer with all these will stand up for what it was meant to be - A rust belt midwest nightmare as well as a major, often-reffered-to metropolis akin to Chicago.

Philly and Cam go under Denton City, while elements from other cities in this category (said Pittsburgh or Buffalo, I guess) will also fall here. 'Denton' also sounds more like an English colony name, which the northeast basically was so that'd make sense. And as for the drug element, the midwest in Carcer will be all for meth and the RB northeast will have strong influences over New York's Crack epidemic anomalies. Biker gangs can also work. If a Puerto Rican Cartel or anything else similar is involved, Empire building will have to return. I demand it. For logical reasons, here I go:

since GTA IV, Rockstar has been profoundly satirizing American culture, namely the 'American Dream'. IV showed us its beginning, with an immigrant moving to Liberty C, the likely start of many immigrants' ADs which start at New York. V showed us where it thrives, in Los Santos where money doesn't just talk, it lectures. Note: Rockstar has satirized the humble beginnings and then the very apex of the AD consequently. So, the next logical step could be setting it somewhere where the AD goes to it's painful end, namely Carcer City.

Carcer City is home to Crime, Corruption and rundown factories and warehouses and the rest, all of which indicate to - Industrial downsizing = lost jobs = frustration and sorrow = high crime = DEATH OF THE AMERICAN DREAM. Besides, doing a new city, especially something of Carcer City's Calibre would not only keep the series fresh, but it would also have room for some 3D universe nostalgia (Carcer and Denton being semi-fictional cities). It's a win-win situation.

However, I am not at all sure at what Rockstar will do next. Vice City sounds logical, as does Carcer, but what if they misread the connections and set it in Capital City instead? Not that it would be a bad idea at all, it also has crime, crack epidemic and a way to satirize politics and the American Dream but that's a whole other story.

Grand Theft Auto VI

578px-BayareaUSGS.jpg

Setting/Map:

- It takes place in San Fierro and the Bay Area (Oakland, Marin Headlands, Berkeley, Redwood Forest…)

- The atmosphere of the game is much more GTA IV with a more realistic tone

- Much more ambient sound in the city and the wilderness

- The city has steam coming from the vents, trash cans on the streets, and homeless people on the streets

- Pedestrians have set schedules and perform random tasks daily

- Street musicians, art vendors, food carts, preachers, advertisers, and cops crowd the sidewalks

- The city should feel like GTA IV’s Liberty City and Watch Dog’s Chicago with a distinct difference between the business districts and the rural districts

- Map unlocks with story progression (I don’t know, this system just felt more rewarding in GTA IV as opposed to its absence in GTA V)

- Smaller and tighter streets that leave room for more sidewalk detail, pedestrians, and outdoor restaurant seating,

- Local animal species (beavers, otters, owls, bears, raccoons, foxes, wolves, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, deer/elk, turtles, frogs, and snakes…)

- Local Transit system based off of BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

- Alternate travel modes include horse drawn carriages, cabs, buses, cable cars, ferries, rickshaws

- Varied interiors for things like malls, restaurants, houses, stores, corporate buildings, banks, casinos, police stations, fire stations, hospitals...

- Large, spaced out, and varied neighborhoods

- Enterable sports arenas with teams based on the Raider/49er’s and the Giants/A’s

- Large wilderness areas that use height as a vehicle for isolation

- Mountains based off of Mt. Tamalpais and Mt. Diablo

- Rivers, streams, and creeks throughout the mountains/forests

- Hiking trails and campgrounds

- Underwater returns with a bigger emphasis to go down there

- New marine wildlife includes seals, sea lions, whales, dolphins, sea turtles, assorted species of fish, rays, and sharks

1200px-San_Francisco_%28Evening%29.jpg

Gameplay:

- Driving is in between GTA IV and GTA V with a heavier lean towards GTA IV

- Shooting is very Max Payne 3-ish

- Eating food to restore health returns

- Plenty of restaurants to choose and eat at

- TV shows return

- Leisure activities may include golf, basketball, tennis, parachuting, hang gliding, windsurfing, regular surfing, mountain biking, pool, bowling, gambling, fishing,

- Nightclubs with dancing and drinking

- Bars and music clubs where the protagonist can grab a drink and watch a local band or a comedian

- Illegal activities include clearing gang/enemy hideouts, bank robberies, house robberies, fight club, convenience store robberies, drug trafficking, fight clubs

- Helicopter controls are a mix of the lightness and maneuverability of GTA V and the steadiness/control of GTA IV

- Boats control the way they have already been

- Motorbikes will control similarly to TLAD

- Planes control with more sturdiness than GTA V but with just as much speed

- On foot controls like GTA V

- Melee is similar to the Arkham series

- Weapons include everything in GTA V, its DLC, flamethrowers, katanas…

Somewhere in Mexico would make a great location, the drug lords, cartels, murder, corruption.

I agree. My first choice would be San Diego and Tijuana, probably with 2 protagonists, 1 from each side of the border!

I just want more immersion, with every building having an interior, so that the city feels like a real city. I also want all npcs to have real lives. It would be great if you can see a plane land, the passengers walk out, go through the terminal, and then have one take a taxi to a meeting in an office. You can follow them all the way into the boardroom using stealth to get into the office. It may be seem unlikely but we still haven't seen the full power of next gen.

I think it should take place in either THE FUTURE, Rio de Janeiro "Brazil", or Chicago "1920s"

I actually wouldn't mind seeing functioning windscreen wipers. I'm suprised it's something R* have never implemented. Not really relevant to the cars we drive I guess, but seeing A.I cars using them in the rain would be a cool detail.

Man just predicting GTA VI is awesome! I somehow can't wait for this game. There is so much you could think about it, how the graphics are gunna be, the storyline, everything! I hope R* pulls out their origin, and combine every single game they have done to make and execute, this one last GTA Game. GTA VI. And I hope they stop making GTA Online, it ruined and is still ruining the franchise.

HOW'S ANNIE?

While it's not technically a wish, I want somebody to explain to me why the hell everybody wants a game with every interior open?

I can't see how the idea of being able to enter a building consisting of 20 stories worth of office staff at their computers, or being able to run havock in a box factory, is fun at all.
