Hope they keep up with the mundane side-activity sports. Golf, tennis, darts, shooting ranges. Bring back bowling, billiards, basketball. Add things like volleyball, batting ranges, surfing, kayaking, hanggliding, fight clubs, rock climbing, and if it’s a winter setting then maybe skiing. Sure, it’s not ‘GTA crim activity’. But it adds variety to gameplay, new competitive outlets, and replayability. Bring back the gyms to more easily increase strength and stamina as well.

More basic parkour skills would be fantastic for general gameplay, too. Nothing major or complex. Just say wallkicks for a bit extra height when running straight towards a wall, ability to grab and shimmy ledges [like in 4], more fluid and faster vaulting, dropping from a ledge to hang, back ejects, better ability to balance on narrow ledges, jumping from a standstill and better ability to land jumps precisely.

Lock picking a car without breaking it's window or alarming it. Functional car trunk - loading weapons or corpse disposal. Changing car plates manually on the go, no Los Santos customs, cops looking for your vehicle, color, plate number - if you decide to switch vehicles you have to get rid of it by burning the evidence. More realistic car driving/physics than GTA 5, but less than GTA 4. You have to fuel your car once in a while. Amped-up car destruction, with next gen consoles making it almost identical as IRL. Ability to kick your front window if it gets too much damaged and you can't see that much in first person. If you are doing heist, you have to rent or buy a new car. Smarter A.I, cops pulling you and other suspects over, checking your trunk, even with dogs searching for cocaine. Similar Red Dead 2 dialogue options. Not every cop is a saint, you can bribe some and they let you go. Cutting city border is not that easy, you have to be smart about it if you are a wanted criminal - have to use some disguises or heavy armor if driving straight through it. One of the protagonists being undercover cop himself, playing from his perspective you can choose who to side with - bad cop/good cop, having honor system. If you are on the chase and get far enough you can park your car, turn off the lights and hide behind the wheel or get out with the money bag/cocaine, take your mask off and act like a civilian, but this time it actually works, if cops don't see your face and you were with mask, you can get away - depends on wanted level.

I remember when IV was in development Rockstar made a big deal about how Niko hotwired the car. I was a bit disappointed that in V they didn’t introduce any new methods and I hope for VI they do - the game is called Grand Theft Auto after all!

A more serious tone, more interiors, a fully realized rural area (expand on areas like Paleto Bay and/or Sandy Shores), inventory management (not being able to carry a full arsenal on you).

I'm sure there's other stuff, but that's what came to mind for starters.

A giant leap backwards before it is to late and the over the top greed that GTA became famous for making into amazing parodie that put gaming on the map as something not only snot eating big head children f*cks around with. Gameplay wise it should run like Forrest Facking Gamp as far away from Saints.

Not sure if I'm too late to the party for this.  GTA 6 could come out any day now.  But maybe it won't for awhile longer.  I was kinda thinking that r* might be smarter to go into the future these days by delving into the cyber punk genre, having just come back from the past with Red dead 2.  It could be like cyberpunk 2077, but more humorous.  But either way, an idea just dawned on me for improvement of their games: improved conversational anomalies.  Lots of people talk to you on the streets in Rockstar games, but it's usually just a one quip comment and response at best.  Some comments from pedestrians should become longer conversations that might even lead to a random mission.  Make if you respond positively three times to a certain conversation, it would open up a mission.  Also just make it more interesting to just wander around town talking to people.  Anyways, that's just one more wishlist idea.

I wonder how Rockstar Games will tackle the score for missions. That is if they include it in GTA 6 ( I hope so)

 

I loved the score in GTA 5. I think Tangerine Dream did a fantastic job, I wasn't really familiar with there work before that.

 

I recently looked up Klaus Schulze, would like to see some of his tracks as scores in GTA 6. Recently I listened to the below and liked it a lot. Especially around 7 minutes and 1:04:04

Don't make military equipment so accessible. Don't get me wrong, some missions you need military hardware (clears throat) Extraction (clears throat). 

Exhibit A: 

I stole someone's Diamonds in Freemode and they spawned in Oppressor after Oppressor after Oppressor. That's so stupid! 

 

Exhibit B:

I was getting strafed by Jets over and over and over again. I get mass amounts of cops on me for running over pedestrians and killing other players. How is someone able to strafe someone over and over again without the military attacking them? Players in Pegasus vehicles shouldn't be able to dominate sessions.

 

They can add ridiculous weapons/vehicles to the game, but make it harder to acquire them! It's stupid that you can sell your product and a jet or some other weaponized vehicle is on my within seconds! Why are you able to buy a tank or a jet and store it in a garage, but you can't buy an 18 wheeler? I read somewhere a while back that some developer regretted adding Jets to the game. 

 

I think we can expect to see major differences in GTA 6 as Rockstar cleaned up a lot in GTA Online!

One thing I'm looking forward to is the stars meaning something. I think six stars should return but they have their own system, it should be similar to the honor/fame system from Red Dead.

the only thing I would like is greater interactivity with things, which are on the game map. multiple areas where it is possible to enter buildings.

Whilst GTA 5 has a bigger & better map than GTA 4, in many ways the game took a big step backwards. Let's hope they don't do this again...

GTA 4 had better vehicle damage & driving mechanics (though GTA 5's driving grew on me). I'd like some compromise in GTA 6 whereby a decent police chase will kill a car and supercars do not do well off-road.

I was most disappointed with the step back in TV & radio quality of GTA 5. 4 had it better IMO. I still listen to downloads of GTA 4 radio (and SA). When it comes to GTA 6 - If they don't add 'Self Radio' for consoles I'll not be happy.

GTA 6 should implement the old ways of keeping your health up - Eating & exercising (sex acts boosting your stats was good too). It sucks to only ever snack on candy.

GTA 6 should also revert back to better melee fighting and NPC interaction. The new consoles will handle it and those sucky internet connections will catch up.

 

 

I have a big fear for GTA 6 and Red Dead brought this fear about.

I suspect that they will utilise what they've done in RDO and not allow private sessions, or maybe even privately hosted missions, races etc. Instead they'll implement anti-griefing measures.

Also since RDO has not employed Social Club in any way other than displaying a crew tag, I fear that they may shy away from the Social Club side of things and this could mean no crew emblems.

This would absolutely suck and I hope it's not the case but let's face it - I'm sure they'd like to do away with all the 'disallowed' crew emblems. I'm in an MC of 6 years. No backpatch would not go down well.

Me again huh?

 

Here's my biggest wish for GTA 6 : A proper vehicle paint/mod shop.

 

GTA 5 has limited us to painting cars with a set palette of way fewer colours than are actually in the game files.

Pearl coats are only available on metallic & crew paint.

If we apply a pearl coat on primary, it bleeds over the secondary.

We're unable to paint on a metal surface and had to rely on modders to get these "3D" paint jobs.

Crew emblems were often messed up/upside down. We should have always has the option to resize them and position them.

While we're at it a livery editor wouldn't go amiss.

In the new game I want to see a full RGB board and several paint types with no "disallowed colours" like pure white / pure black etc.

These options should stand for primary, secondary, pearl, trim, rim colours as well as window tints if we want them.

There's been a big community of people that glitch and trade these paint jobs. If R* wants to see an end to this, just give us the tools so nothing is 'special' any more.

I agree on everything you said, especially on the gta 5 radios, which are not at all beautiful, luckily I saw with gta san andreas them that you listened to radio stations willingly. and if you listened to one you often remember which song cames later.

So I was replaying GTA 5’s story line when I was playing the heist on the bank in sandy shores when during the dialogue Michael mentioned something that caught my ear. They were talking about their first bank heist and Trevor asked Michael if he remembered his and he went on the story about in 1988 when he robbed his first bank. This got me thinking that since everyone seems to believe it will be the vice city era this could be a potential story line. Going back in time to the 80’s and keeping the same characters but just a younger version. Maybe see where Michael and Lester first linked up and when Trevor came into the picture. Also their other partner and seeing them all start their huge theft spree. Just a theory I thought it would be extremely cool if they did something like this, thoughts?

I agree and if it had another specific role, would you have seen it differently? oh and just his character who doesn't fit?

I honestly think with V Rockstar just failed to make any likeable characters.

Just think about it, we don't have cool characters like for example The Truth, Roman Bellic, Little Jacob etc. anymore. In V and Online there are either antagonists, unlikeable characters or characters that are so undeveloped that I don't care about them.

 

And Lester is just the worst of them all. Didn't care for him in the story, but online made me want to kill him.

Literally all he does is SHOUT AND SCREAM in your ear all the time during missions. All the stuff he located, as I said, I didn't need him for that. Could have done that myself. Nothing he does justifies the cut he gets in the end.

 

If there was an option to kill him in the last online update, I'd re-install the game to my system and do it.

Here is my wishlist for Grand Theft Auto IV. I don't really care when the game should happen, so anyway, here we go :

The Map :

The map should be about 2 times the size of GTA V's map, it would be a big island representing South Florida :

 all the ways in the South, we can find the Florida keys, with a few towns on the islands and one Island would have a private airfield (that we can buy). A little bit northern (but still in the southern portion of the map) there would be the everglades covering the majority of the area, and Vice City on the far right side of the map, the city would be about the size of GTA IV's Liberty City (Maybe a bit smaller tho...) The city would be divided in three section :

- Mainland, where we could find Downtown, Little Haiti and Little Havana and other neighborhoods taken from the 2D era version of Vice City. Vice Port and Escobar International Airport would be find here. The airport would have fully explorable terminal, just like in Vice City and huge cruise ships could be find at Vice Port. A highway would go through this section of the city and multiple industrial and residential neighborhoods would be scattered around.

- Vice Islands, basically all the private islands, Starfish Island would be found there and it's a place where you could find lots of luxury mansions. Some of them will be purchasable and there would be a big ass mansion just like the Vercetti Estate.

- Vice Beach, where we would find Ocean Beach, Washington Beach and Vice Point with all the Hotels and Malls, It would also have the famous beach and the lighthouse. Hotel suits would be purchasable here.

At the exit of Vice City and next to the everglades, would be Fort Baxter Air Base, where we could find tons of military vehicles and weapons. Entering it would give you an automatic 6 stars level (Yep, you read that right, 6 stars!)

Further North of the area, we are now at the Blaine County equivalent area of the map, here we would have some farmlands and a plethora of small towns and forests. The players will be able to complete different activities in this part of the map, a mix of recreational and illegal stuff....

Finally the top part of the map would have Lake Okeechobee kind on the middle-right side of the area, and we would have Cottonmouth at the top left of the map.

Cottonmouth would be about half the size of Vice City and it would have it's own airport, so that we can fly between Cottonmouth and Vice City. 

Driving from Vice City to Cottonmouth by Highway at full speed should take about 7 or 8 minutes of real time.

 

Story :

Now I am not very good at making stories, so I will try to make a simple story. For the story, I was thinking about having two protagonists, One would be a Cuban immigrant and the other would be an Afro-American who comes from Liberty City. Let's call the Cuban, Diego and let's call the Afro American, Kolby. They would both meet each others and start working for different peoples together, but then one day, they get betrayed by the crime boss they work for. They decided to seek revenge by creating there own crime family and the game would resolve around them conquering the Vice City crime underworld and they would also work their way across the state to find the crime boss who escaped at Cottonmouth. No government and No playable characters betraying each would be in this game.

 

Gameplay :

For the gameplay I would basically take elements from old past game, and improve on them, basically, every features, details and gameplay elements that made GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA EFLC, GTA V and RDR2 good, I would take it all and put it in this game. Anything you could think of, from the possibility of buying business and running them, buying safehouses and making customizable interiors, lot's of open interiors, the possibility to go to the gym, buy food in a fast food, working a job, going to driving,flying,boat,bike schools, buying legal weapons at ammunation (Pistols,shotguns,assault rifles, machine guns...) and buying the illegal weapons in an alley in those shops and cars from GTA IV (RPG's, explosives, military weapons....), The ability to buy a ticket at the airport and fly from one city to another, driving the metro, hair growing, talking to civilians, intelligent AI, smarter police, 6 stars wanted level and having the army join when you get X number of stars, weapons and vehicles customization, RDR2 rpg elements... the list could go on and on. But you get my point.

1 protagonist this time.  

-More interiors; at least a nice mall akin to the original VC

-Being able to not get the fuzz after you for killing someone in private/silencer, as mentioned above.  When are they going to learn from the past games that this is super annoying and takes away the reason for being stealthy.

If I could only give one request, it would be to make LSPDFR or something similar as part of the game.  You would play the game as three people;

1) An 18 year old thug who has been kicked out of high school and was just released a short stay in jail.  His parents have kicked him out of the house and he literally has no money and no place to live.  Having little choice, he mugs people to make money so he can eat, get a room to sleep in and go to the gym so he can mug bigger people.  He joins a gang of his choosing and working from the very bottom, crawls up the ranks.

 

2)  A 22 or 23 year old has earned a degree in Law Enforcement.  In his cap and gown, he is at his dorm packing his bags to go home.  He will pick a police department of his choosing and apply.  Starting at the very bottom, he works his way to Chief of Police, Sheriff or Director of the FIB.

 

3)  After completing at least one of the above two character paths, you earn a free roam character.  You can be any age, sex, race, etc.  You start the game with a reasonable amount of money, a vehicle and a place to live.  Now, go live your life however you choose.

 

Cities:  Even if it requires expansion packs, I would like the overall world of the state/nation of San Andreas to be 2 to 4 times larger than any gaming world Rockstar has created so far across any game.  Assuming the game will come with Vice City and "Rio City" (Rio and Mexico City combined), expansion packs could include Liberty City (NYC), Carcer (Detroit/Chicago), Federal City (DC and the Wall Street District of NYC), Space City (Houston, Galveston, South Padre Island, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and New Orleans) (This city would have the launch pad, landing strip and mission control).  It would also have Yankton or North Yankton (Fargo ND and Alaska), Las Venturas (Las Vegas), Pacific City (Atlantic City), Los Santos (LA), San Fierro (San Francisco) and the stand alone city of San Andreas.  Each major city would have suburbs and rural areas.  This would consist of about 80% of the map.  The other 20% would be rural area which would be developed with fan input at a later date.  This new city would be a fan built city with supporting suburbs and rural towns.

 

Cars:  Speedometers should be added.  A functioning gas tank should be added.  User controlled blinkers (and emergency flashers) and windshield wipers.  A cruise control option to maintain your speed until you override it.  Lane Assist for players who do not want to free roam in their lanes.  Insane customization of vehicles similar to what current user created mods allow.

 

Career:  Outside of being a gang banger, players can be a police officer.  Players have wanted this option since GTA 1.  It has been available in same GTA games to a vert limited extent.  This would kick the door down and let the player have LSPDFR type abilities.  You should be able to pick a number of other careers such as media, tow truck driver, over the road 18 wheel truck driver, pilot, etc.  You could do the work yourself or let the computer auto play your character working.  Meanwhile, you could play as another character.  You could also be a wealthy housewife.  Who knows what she does when her husband is at work.

 

Weather and disasters would play a bigger part of the game.

 

The game could have different time periods.  In the post civil war era, the cities are smaller but the land is the same.  Small towns in current times may not exist in the colonial times.  Maybe Carcer City would be Dan Carcer's Ranch in colonial times.  Another time period could be the first half of the 20th century (give or take a few years).  Cites have grown and new ones have been created.  Than you have current times.  Than maybe 100 years into the future with hover cars and tubeways.

 

User Created Content:  Can you imagine a GTA game were Rockstar promotes this?  The sky would be the limit with a concept like this.

Look how they implemented Ray-marching into Red Dead 2. On a visual level there's no doubt it will look incredible, It's onwards and upwards from what they've achieved!

Yes this, and also working side windows finally. Like an menu list (maybe like the gun wheel in rdr2) with all types of options/functions for different things like open window, pop the hood up, side blinkers, open the trunk, turn light off etc. 

Well the blinkers could be automatic when just driving casually in the road/street so they start to blink to the direction you are turning (but no blinkers when speeding/escaping cops obviously lol).

 

and yes i want functioning gas tank too, but maybe make it so that the cars tank is allways full when you start playing (like it allways fills up when you take it out of the carage etc) That way no one wouldent compline about it because it would be really rare to run out of gas.

...and if in case your car runs out of gas, you could walk or take a thumb ride/hitch to the gas station with a jerrygan. 

Or maybe have an option for ..well i dont know how to explain it but like the game asks if you want to hitchhike to get to the gas station with the jerrygan, press X for yes and then theres short cutscene showing your character in the side of the road with thumb up and jerry. The screen goes black its couple houers later in game time and hes filling the gas tank from the jerry he brought from the gas station.

That's cool, but I am not sure if running out of fuel is a good idea. It would make lots of players frustrated if there car just stopped working.

 

Maybe a way to fix that would be to put a fuel meter alongside the speedometer. And it should last for a long time, at least for 4 days in game.

Well ofcourse there would be fuel meter and full tank would take really long to empty in game time.

If it's based in the 80s I'd like there to be music stores where you can buy cassettes and make mixtapes with the money you've earned in game.
