What do you guys think about a casette player? Since apparently there was gonna one in GTA IV that we could put our own playlists in, why not now? If GTA VI is set in different eras, then there must be an 1980's era so that we can buy a casette player and put our own music in.

I think if it actually functioned the way a cassette player does it'd be annoying as hell. Having to fast-forward and rewind to the song you want would be a tedious chore. But if you can just skip from song to song like an MP3 player or spotify playlist than it's kinda pointless to pretend it's a cassette player.

Either way, if they allow for custom music in the next game I imagine it'll be with the Self Radio like in V on PC.

I'm thinking about it like the radio wheel in GTA V

Also great profile picture

I seriously need to get one

If this will take place in Vice City and the Caribbean islands, then I'd like to see an old shipwreck of a pirate ship with sunken treasures and artifacts.

The region used to be notorious for pirates like Blackbeard and Anne Bonny. These pirates inspired the movie Pirates of the Caribbean and Goonies, (although the setting of Goonies is in Oregon).

More realistic shooting. bullets going thru car doors and some walls etc.

Car crashes where you might die if you chrash fast to wall or other cars etc (like in Burnout games).

You can die from a car crash in GTA IV and V if you hit a wall fast enough.

Penetrable surfaces with bullets would be cool, like broken pillars in a car park.

Imagine if they could have their engine have the same destruction physics as in Red Faction Guerrila: we could crash a car into a building ,and since its filled with explosives, blow it up and demolish that entire building full of enemies. It would be really cool

yeah true, but i want the driving feel much more dangerous and escaping cops feel more challenging, because crashing one time in to other car fast enough could total the car.

The cars need to be more fragile, but also more heavy feeling than in gta v.

Maybe not as fragile as in beamng, but something to more that realistic direction at least and more detailed damage. And different cars need to have unique handling and different terrains need to have an actual difference, so no more sports cars driving offroad or up mountains like in gta v.

Nah, man. Most players almost had had a stroke when they had to drive cars in Grand Theft Auto IV. They are happy with what they got in Grand Theft Auto V. I'm sure it will stay that way.

More sports and side activities. This what lacks in both GTA IV and GTA V. Sure GTA V had a lot of things to do but the game lacks arcade games, drug wars, casino, gym, carnival games, vigilante, pool, soccer ball, dodge ball and fast food restaurants. Heck it even lacks special ability thingy when you hangout with your friend a lot times.

No, see, this is where I hate the actual realism coming in. What I loved about SA for example is how you could jump off the mountains with your car, bike or bicycle and still survive a long drop or have cool stunts. In gta 5 it is ruined a lot. You explode if you hit the ground with the roof of your car in a certain spot, and you fall or crash from a medium drop on a bike or cycle. That is so tedious and boring.

If you die or total you car with just one crash, then that would seriously bum me out. Don't say "just be good at driving then". I drive good enough in gta, but I also like to crash on purpose and cause chaos or do ridiculous jumps. Too much realism seriously takes out a lot of fun.

to me its opposite. I want danger, realistic as possible physics and challenge. Also i think chaos and ridiculous jumps are more fun with realistic destruction.

Next gta with cars feeling like in the old 3d arcadey gta's would bore the crap out of me.

Yea. They need to keep the realism ONLY on physics and graphics. ONLY those needs realism. Things like what does not fit thingy does not have to be realistic. Also they need to realise that some things would just ruin fun if you bring realism in it and some things will also bring fun.

I understand what you mean. I am not saying I want the damage from the older gta games. Like, gta 5 really was a downgrade compared to 4. 4 felt more realistic whereas 5 is more arcade like. Ever since we saw the first gameplay of gta 5 of cars I got disappointed.

I too would like realistic damage and just see more physical damage happen as well. Heck, even wheels popping off completely, but you can still try and drive. However, I dislike it when I make a stunt jump and land on my hood, I explode 90% of the time. Like, how does that even work? Also with planes. Why do they immediately blow up if you crash em?

What could happen is if we could have realistic car physics and movement, more similar to 4, and perhaps have options in the garage to prevent the car from blowing up too quick so people can have fun with stunts. Perhaps that is an idea. Or have cheat codes be possible to enable that sorta stuff from single player.

If vehicle physics in gta 6 work like 5 then I will be disappointed. I loved gta 4 way more and I hope they will go that route more and improve upon that.

Obviously in real life, if you fall from a high place in a car and then land on the front, which is where the engine is, you're gonna blow up and die lol.

I think cars exploding on impact is more of a movie trope than an actual law of physics. The car is more likely to just start on fire and burn up. Any sort of significant explosion is pretty rare and it's more likely to happen at the gas tank than the engine.

Obviously, you'd likely still die from a long fall, or at least be extremely injured, but that would take away a lot of the fun in a video game.

I never really felt like GTA IV's physics were very realistic but in V can't you just add full armor on your car to avoid that? I can't remember my car ever blowing up after a failed stunt jump, mostly because of the armor but also because you can control the car in the air.

Yeah, I don't want to die fast from long falls either. I'd rather see the player having to deal with a limp walk for a few seconds before getting back to normal rather than just straight up dying. Only die from really long falls.

But that is probably true. Armor does help prevent from blowing up I think and you can control its movement in air, but I like to watch the car naturally fall sometimes and not do anything. Gta 4 perhaps wasn't realistic, but I liked how there was more weight to the car. Also being able to hit many people without getting slowed down much. In gta 5 if you hit crowds of people, you significantly slow down. That is less fun.

It's just a difficult subject I think. Realism adds fun and immersion in many ways, but if you put the focus in the wrong places, then the game can become less fun and more tedious.

Imagine going into a car dealership and actually purchasing a vehicle. Even with delivery and all. Going into the more common everyday dealership for common folk and actually talking to a salesman, getting a purchase order, getting what color, packages etc into the vehicle you want and then waiting in 24 hours the day to pick it up. It would fit the era of the 80s because of course its in place of ordering it thorough the internet.

Yeah, for me immersion is more about consistency then reality. Like RDR2's limited weapon loadout was more realistic but every other aspect of the inventory system still had the "magic pockets" thing that most video games use. That inconsistency broke the immersion for me.

But then there's something like GTA V's lighter cars that make those crazy jumps possible. It's not very realistic at all but, to me, it fits right in with the game's over the top cinematic approach to everything and so doesn't break the immersion.

It could be cool, I guess, but I don't think it'd be much different than GTA V's clothing stores and LS Customs. You'd still pretty much just end up scrolling through a menu screen to make your purchase only you'd have an NPC making random, generic comments while you do it.

Not a fan of the 24 hour wait, though. That's 48 minutes real time in GTA V. If I buy a car I want it now.

Keep it minimalistic, down to earth.

I want drugsdeals, weapon trafficking, but small. As seen in Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, etc.

Corrupt police and government officials, but not statewize. Just local counties where the gangs can do as they please, as long as they not kill innocents.

GTA has always been bombastic and over the top, but what about it being more down to earth and realistic? I would love that

Apart from San Andreas and V, all Grand Theft Auto titles are mostly down to earth and realistic in terms of the story and action, especially the most recent Grand Theft Auto IV. I'd also prefer this direction more. I also believe that there will less role-playing activities and choices in the Story mode, as majorly evident in Redemption 2, and so Online will be the space where this kind of player choice will be applied as in Grand Theft Auto Online. This would further allow R* to create cohesive and believable stories and activities for the story protagonist, while not limiting the possibilities for overly bombastic moments in Online.

If it is just RDR2 in modern day I would already love it xD

GTA IV and it's dlc's where more realistic and more fun. Also the increased seriousness was a pre imo

In addition, what would be cool is if you could earn extreme amounts of money by illegal activities, but the cash you have is split in white (legal) and black (illegal) money. Not sure if I used the right terminology, but in my language we call it that way, so sorry in advance.

The illegal money needs to be made legal using storefronts and other stuff.

Would be cool to see a focus on this instead of buying jets and tanks 😂😂

Good example: Barry Seal in American Made (played by Tom Cruise). He has so much money he eventually creates 5 banks, everyone in the town drives the latest cars, everybody is rich. All the while drugs and weapon trafficking is going on in the background.

Exactly. Rdr2 is the best, most adult and most real story rockstar games have done and also in my top 5 generally what comes to video game stories. The story is better than most this decades movies.

I really wish next GTA's story takes this more realistic movie like direction too but honestly i except to feel dissapointed and get a boring gtafortnitemixfor12yolds instead lol.

1. GTA6: Project Americas should have different license states driving around that represent states like LIberty, Vice, Los Santos etc

2. Cars should be more functional like exhaust, valve closing, windshield wipers, turn signals, LED lighting, functional interior

3. More Buildings to enter such as restaurants, hotels, clothing stores, barber shops, malls, clubs, airport, train stations, sport complex, bars

4. More interaction with game world similar to Watch Dogs but much better and on another level GTA style

5. More Realistic than GTA4 and GTA5 but still fun

6. Weather affects the game world such as trees moving, when it rains the car slippery when driving fast when need to brake

7. It more windy by the beach

8. Morning traffic, random traffic jams, evening traffic, traffic to sports or the mall in the game

9.  Such GTA6 will be biggest map of the game air travel and boats should be airport should take plane, cruise ship, trains, uber in game

10. More liveable gaming world
