While it's not technically a wish, I want somebody to explain to me why the hell everybody wants a game with every interior open?

I can't see how the idea of being able to enter a building consisting of 20 stories worth of office staff at their computers, or being able to run havock in a box factory, is fun at all.

Interiors add life and depth. Having every interior open of course is a stupid and unrealistic expectation, but you have to think about the possibilities that come with it.

Imagine having a whole 20 story office block to explore and going on a rampage killing workers and jumping out of the top floor parachuting down?

Just like real life not every building serves as a haven of excitement then again most exterior locations are hardly fun either. I hope GTA VI puts more emphasis on interiors. GTA IV was pretty good, but I'd like to see aquariums, art galleries, churches etc. Shopping malls and airports need to come back too.

Yes, a new city and with more detailed daily activity like in GTA IV

or remake Liberty City, more bigger map. Or even the whole San Andreas in HD :)

and 3 protagonist, maybe one of them is Niko again? and 2 new protagonist

Man, these ideas people have in this thread are lame IMO. Alot of people say that they should 'remake LC', it should take place here, it should take place there, etc etc etc etc etc..

Lets be honest, it makes the most sense if VC is the next main map of GTA... They have re done LC, re done San Andreas, introduced a new town, Ludendorf in North Yankton, the only main place left is, VICE CITY.

Dude the first two suggestions are fantasy settings and the third is far cry 2.

Although I liked the fact that Niko is foreign (unique) so maybe another non-american protag or city.

Some more GTA VI ideas

1. Sporting Events - The Olympic Games, World Cup Soccer, The Super Bowl, The NBA Finals, World Series, etc.

2. Disasters - Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Floods, Blizzards, etc.

3. Animals - Monkeys, Tigers, Camels, Lions, Cheetahs, Crocodiles, Snakes (Titanoboa), Wolves, etc.

4. War, Civil War, Nuclear War

5. World Peace

6. Instead of just Graffiti, there should be Murals or Works of Art on Buildings, Colorful/Lively City, not dull like GTA 4

7. More Variety of Weapons - Handcuffs, Bamboo Sticks, Whips, Swords, Shovels, Explosive Mines, Bow and Arrows, Axes, Nuclear Weapons, C-4, Cannons, etc.

8. Riots

9. The Great Depression

10. Protagonists (Main Characters) - One should be a Crack Head, One should have a disease like Cancer or something, and the last One should be a Billionaire

Period setting instead of modern, main protag(s) that is/are unique and human(s).

An RPG feel, and I don't mean stats. If they could create a world that you can live in with relatable human characters.

Branching storylines with choices like western RPG's.

More family stuff, the only redeeming aspect of GTA V's story IMO. Some of Michael's family moments were touching. You felt like a dad that had responsibilities or at least expectations. And Ned Luke did an exemplary job voicing a caring psychotic thief of a father.

Deeper moments between characters like in GTA IV.

No blips on mini-map for random encounters or events. If you see it you see it. You shouldn't spend your time in the game staring at a mini-map while the game world is right there. Make them actually random and spontaneous, like when you saw securicar in IV or a mugger in GTA

Not sacrificing feel or setting of the game by adding more and more crap and features.

Not being afraid of repeating themes or settings like they were in GTA V which ended in an unsatisfying shallow story/mission structure.

Repeating themes and settings worked for hollywood in their hayday. Western cowboy films, mafia films etc. But what made them unique was the attention to characterisation and plot.

For me at least, I was fine with the repetitive mission structures in GTA IV because that's what the game was always about, driving and shooting but dressed up with the urgency of the plot.

MythicalCreature

I would like to see a better cinematic camera. Driving with it on is a pain in the ass! If you can get some footage recorded like that, it'd be great.

EDIT: If a diamond heist is involved some way, over-the-top, unique but realistic and fun, i'd be all for it.

Regarding the storyline:

- One Protagonist

- An antagonist/group of antagonists that is built up throughout the entire game, similar to Dimitri or Tenpenny. I wasn't a big fan of the lack of an actual antagonist in V.

- A large heist in the game, if they don't bother doing what GTA V did with multiple heists, they should bring in a large diamond or bank heist that involves many missions before it where you prepare equipment, weapons, etc.

- More choice as the player. Similar to how GTA IV had a 'choice system' where you could choose whether to kill certain characters or let them live, with certain consequences to follow. GTA VI should have a similar system, although much bigger.

Saving Mechanics

-save any vehicle anywhere within your property (lot, driveway, lawn) for 5 in-game days.

-save any vehicles at any paid parking indefinitely

-save any vehicles at any designated parking spaces around buildings for 5 in-game days.

-leave any vehicle anywhere (except on the street) for 48 in-game hours without it despawning

-save marine vehicles by docking at your own dock.

Car Customization

-customizations should have more noticeable effect on performance

-ability to fix beat-up, rusted cars into brand new looking car.

Urband Legends

-build more on Urband legends, myths, and mysteries that actually exits in the game and not glitches.

-hidden locations like tunnels, caves, secret rooms, underwater caves.

-serial killers, buried treasures, aliens, creatures, and monsters which will reward you in millions of found.

-unique vehicles not available anywhere else.

Game Environment

-more destructible objects

-more enterable buildings

-multiple Islands

-more varied Landscapes

-strange sea creatures and sharks that will hunt you down if you dive too deep or swim too far.

-mysterious weather and lightning strikes of you fly too far.

Activities

Fishing on your boat. Hunting. Mountain climbing.

I'm hoping for las venturas + vice city+ countryside and desert

two protagonists would also be great the story could be much deeper

i think you have something here.

but i'll add too it

two protagonists (possibly 3)

one man who lives in VC and is a successful criminal.

one woman who lives in LV and is a jewel thief

an errand boy for the triads who gets roped in after a deal goes bad, or something (could be an excuse to bring back SF)

but why not set it up where the people you do missions for set the protagonists up against each other.

(sort of like how in IV Luis was, albeit not directly, against Niko and Johnny)

What I would like to see is a system where there are multiple cities on the map separated by a certain amount of water, and you can fly to each of these either by taking a plane flight ( like in San Andreas ) or even being able to fly to them yourself, or by boat. Another thing would be more interiors. GTA V was VERY lacking with interiors, I wished there were more. Maybe more use in properties than just a cash cow, something like Vice City where there were useful and interesting missions for each property. Also, maybe set it during the 1980's since to me that is just a good era.

Niko Valentine

- One well developped character with a detailed background.

- Vice City setting.

- Present day.(2016 - 2019)

- An antagonist so well made that you despise.(Similar to Dimitri Rascalov)

- 80's and 90's Radio stations.

- Only a few returning characters.

- An epic, emotional and romantic story.

- A variety of OST's.

Only one thing I disagree; romantic....?

Dude, we are talking about Grand Theft Auto here.......

I think he means adding some romance into the story. Like have the protag be a womanizer or something.

Set the game someplace other than a major city. Have the entire game take place in the countryside, with several small-to-medium-sized towns dotting the landscape. So far, every GTA game has been set in a major city; this would greatly change up the dynamic of the series and allow for some very new stories. After all, not everything interesting that's crime-related happens in the big cities -- just look at Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy, both of them based on very real criminal activities that tend to be disproportionately found in rural areas (meth and bikers, respectively).

There's also a lot of opportunity from a gameplay standpoint. If anyone here has played State of Decay, they'd know that players are able to explore every room of every building in that game, something that a lot of people have been requesting for the next GTA. (Yes, I know that State of Decay is a zombie game, that's not my point.) That game was put together by an indie development team that didn't have the resources of a AAA studio like Rockstar North, and they created a huge environment with three fully-explorable towns and a lot of countryside in between.

So imagine, if you will, GTA: North Yankton. What would it look like? Well, we already have Ludendorff, for starters, which could be used as the stereotypical small Midwestern town out of a Rick Springfield song or an '80s Spielberg/Amblin film. Have it be a big farming/cattle town; maybe the high school football team is called something like the Cowboys or the Planters. There could also be a decaying Rust Belt hellhole whose industrial backbone was outsourced to China long ago (or whose mines have long since been tapped out) and whose Main Street is mostly boarded up what with most of the population having moved out. A college town populated by rowdy young adults with disposable income to spend (on drugs). A resource-development boom town full of hot-headed roughnecks who like to get drunk and get laid in their off-time. A reservation town with a big casino. And for the "big city" of the state, you get the capital, with a few high-rises, an airport bigger than just a dirt strip, and fancy architecture. And in between all of this? You've got rest stops and motels where deals go down, national forests where pot farmers run clandestine grow-ops, an area based on the Badlands, a military base, wind farms, and amber waves of grain. There's a lot of diversity you can fit into a game with "just" countryside.

Nope. Not gonna happen. The most likely place it will be set in is present day Vice City. Why?

1. Geography - a contrast to LS's deserts, mountains, farmlands, and forest. Vice will have everglades swamps and it's wildlife (gators, snakes, etc) and matching vehicles (fanboats, boats, etc.); long beaches and beachfront properties; Caribbean or cuban Islands, Bermuda triangle

2. Other stuff

3. Horatio Caine

I know the second picture is of 50 Cent playing a cancer patient for a movie, but he still looks like a second crackhead for the protagonists you listed.

More animals, places with wild life like a proper desert or jungle. With lions, tigers, bears and all sorts. Maybe they should make it so there is a nasa like space station and you can steal a spaceship and go into space. Thats probably a little too much for rockstar though. But they added UFO's into GTA 5 so who knows

San Fierro or a city based off Detroit or Chicago. Or maybe North Yankton. As for map size, Just Cause 2 has a HUGE map and i would love to see a GTA with a map that big. As for characters, i would like to see some characters from IV return, but SURVIVE (unlike Johnny), Little Jacob and Real Badman would be interesting. Bring back Gyms and have a long storyline like IV or San Andreas, V was too short in my opinion. The antagonist should be like Dimitri Rascalov (he was the only decent antagonist imo), and i dont mind 1protagonist if their story is detailed well written. Combat should be like Sleeping Dogs (great game). As for vehicles, they have enough vehicles but i would like to see more military/law enforcement vehicles and the jetpack. RC VEHICLES should return. I know they were harf but they were fun as well. Am I the only one that misses them?

They haven't redone Ludendorff and LC is pretty much confirmed according to this article.

Anyways, ategorically based on the matter of the next gen, games like "The Crew", are able to hold such power. Why can't a GTA game ever be based around the whole U.S. Including the most known states? It's time for a new place(s).

I'd like to see that type of setting. Wouldn't you? ;)

52s6fxf.jpg

The map of GTA I'm thinking probably won't be scaled, nor geographically correct, but it's the closest I can think of.

All I have to say is this

GTA VI(ce City)

Cleaver, but I really hope that gta 6 will be in San Fierro, then gta 7 in Las Venturas. Then maybe you could travel from one to the other. I'm not even sure that would be possible, but if it is, it's definitely something I would like to see. Bearing in mind it took 5 years for gta 5 to come out so by the time gta 7 comes out it will be 10 years time. The graphics will be much different on 7 than what they are like now on V.

Mr.Raspberry Jam

I really want it to have a more serious approach, like GTA IV had, but they probably won't, the game would still be awesome though. More interiors to enter would be fun, ones that actually do something and not just pointless interiors.

I'm really convinced that it will be set in Vice City because it's the only 3D era city they haven't remastered. It would be weird seeing Vice City out of the 80s though, that's what really made the game.

I want GTA to get more realistic. Honestly I liked GTA IV's seriousness over GTA V's over the top action and movie-likeness.

Some thoughts:

- continue on a more serious and realistic route

- no more police cars suddenly bumping on my rear, even while I'm using the same car as they are

- crash damage on both car and passengers; if I make a police car crash full speed on an oncoming truck, the car will be destroyed and the police are killed. I'm still pondering how it would affect the gameplay if it was as harsh on the players too, but if it's the same for everyone, it should even itself out

- police behavior: no more police just appearing on your route, make them dispatch from police stations, also they still feel a bit "magnetic"

- I felt that GTA IV's car handling was more realistic, and that R* should continue with it (improving it of course)

- I'd look into ways to make gun shots wound you, but without making gun fights (especially online) too messed up

- regarding story

- I'd rather have one protagonist. I felt that having three characters complicated the story, and having three different weapon sets/bank accounts often made me favour only one of them.

- more clear antagonist(s). GTA V's bad guys felt rushed. I didn't even really hate them like I hated Dimitri in IV. They felt a bit distant.

- the story overall felt a bit rushed

- I don't really care about the location so much, however I'd rather see something new. A London-like setting would be fine, or something like Chicago

- the classic more interiors-wish. Not every single building maybe, but at least these:

- all police stations and hospitals

- corner stores

- a mall?

- offices

- banks

- a theater/sports stadium

- airports

- destruction. I have been thinking how it could be implemented, but I thought that maybe the interiors of buildings could have destructible walls (inside) etc, but the building would not be able to be completely brought down

I myself would like to see Carcer City in GTA VI.

You mean as a side city in a selection of cities...or as the main city of the game?

Link to post

Multiple cities. Vice and liberty? Or vice and something else. Maybe 3 cities. Depends on what they can do with the next gen.

You could start off as a nobody in one city before ,well for lack of a better term, gta'ing all over that bitch. Then the heat from law/gangs etc. forces you to move to another one to start a new quiet life. Oh wait no you're gonna gta all over that bitch too.

Each city will have to be unique with their own stories, antagonists etc. Only at the end should everything get tied together one you take over everything.

Maybe have a federal antagonist trying to track you down forcing you to keep moving from safehouse to safehouse/ city to city.

More RPG elements, have friends, go on dates, more mini-games (fun not yoga) building up a business empire. Proper business missions.

More side missions. Old school. Ambulance, vigilante, fire, taxi with actual rewards. Unlockables not just money.

Interiors. Definitely adds to the realism if you can escape the cops by running up the stairs to the roof of a block of flats. I'm not asking for access to every individual house and flat just bars, restaurants, hotels, malls etc. Things that people actually go into.

And if they are going to include the stock market again for the love of God give me something to spend my billions on.

It's a bit pointless doing the property missions one you're a multi billionaire. What's that? The cinema needs promoting? f*ck that, I'll pay someone to do it! I can't? Well f*ck the cinema then.

What's that? The takings got stolen? How much? $5000? Who gives a f*ck. I'm a billionaire!

Better (and actually random) random events. Again what's the point of robbing a gruppe sech truck when you're a billionaire. And as for the people getting robbed? Why do I care? Im a major criminal, doing bank jobs but that person getting $500 dollars robbed off them? Better f*cking help. Who at rockstar thought that would make sense?

f*ck the wilderness, thats the reason los santos was so smal, we should have a Vice City with only suburbs a downtown and beautiful beaches.I honestly prefer a small map with a lot of detail instead of what we got in Los Santos for V.
