copkila132 Posted February 12, 2003 Share Posted February 12, 2003 has this happened to anyone? -PS2 says reading disk for as long as u have the disk in -PS2 makes a weird noise like continuous clicking -the game never starts up no matter how much i dust it or clean the disk what do i do. i think its a lens problem. some guy told me that Vice City may have done this. somone tip me. Smashdamit Posted February 12, 2003 Share Posted February 12, 2003 Mine was making a clicking noise and would occasionally freeze in game.I took it back and raised a stink until they gave me another one(had it just under 3 months).The retailer wanted me to take it to Sony and have them fix it under warranty,but that was going to be 2-3 weeks minimum.Not acceptable.Maybe there are a bunch of lemons out there that made it thru quality control..assuming there is a quality control at Sony. The only thing I can suggest is to unplug everything and let any static build up disapate. I don't think it is Vice City causing it.My ps2 started acting up with FIFA 2003.Just coincidence I think.
