Enough of XP already!

Back on-topic:

Why there's traffic on Callahan Bridge and in the unfinished highway tunnels? Are you using GTA:LC paths? Or is it an LCS bug?

Paths exist and are meant for police cars when chasing you. They are disabled for normal traffic through script.

 

And can we install newer versions of this mod if there's an older version already installed?

THEORETICALLY you can, but you're not supposed to. It's difficult to keep track for all the changes I make so I release my copy all at once. So, TO BE SAFE, do it on a clean game.

 

Any news on zones?

No. I find porting map models more important at the moment.

 

Oh this is looking good, always nice getting to see work being done on the older titles still. Not everyone's abadoned the old faithful clearly!

Is there a way to disable backface culling on everything while keeping the backface culling of the player and the peds enabled?

It has been indeed a while since I last visited this topic and oh boy, did I miss it? I also couldn't help but notice that in about 6 days this mod will have its first birthday!

 

I'm very pleased with all of the recent progress displayed as well, that's an outstanding job right here, buddy! I keep looking forward to more and more of it. :D

Oh, I really hadn't noticed that! Well, COMMER needs only some final touches, so a birthday release is really close :p

Reinstalling the mod fixed the bug, the bug happened when I replaced player files in gta3.img.

@Guard3, for unnamed LODs use my fix:

 

it might be helpful for long distance objects which has not assigned any short distance object, so now it can disappear like LODroadx should.

Just set the 0x0056F516 to 299.0 so LOD problems can be fixed.

SUBURB is stuck at 99%. I really am busy and converting and fixing bugs on every single model is tedious enough. I'll work around the most visible stuff and port it faster.

I've been away for a while, but I'd like to say that I'm done with SUBURB! Fort Staunton and Zoning is on its way :)

I don't have neither the time, nor the courage to continue my bug fixing as meticulously as I used to, but I have fixed MANY of Shoreside Vale bugs; mainly wrong shadow IDE flags, missing textures and objects with darkened materials.

Was able to load the Game on Vice City V.1.0 Noticed that it crashes with 1.1 for some reason. Anyways, the textures seem to be having some issues for me. There were these issues for GTA LC Mod but spaceeinstein fixed that for me. Hopefully it's not related to my GPU. Also, MEd is having issues loading up your map.

I notice that the problem with your textures is everywhere, so I don't think it's because of my map. The game seems to have its backface culling "reversed" (only the back faces are visible). Are you using any other mod that disables it? I included a cleo script that does so, try not to use any of these to see if your problem is fixed. If not, it might be your gpu, as everything is affected.

The problem with med must be because everything is loaded through separate imgs, not in gta3.img, so it can't locate the files :)

I noticed that the game crashed with 1.1. I hope it's a limit adjuster issue. Anyways, using 1.0 and disabling that CLEO script did the job for me. Also, I realised that the Fort Staunton buildings are missing. Not sure if you're aware of that.

 

Edit: Some buildings still seem buggy.

This seems to be the case with more of Shoreside buildings which don't load up for me.
