sjcgtav 4
Furry_Monkey: Awesome. Truly. Thanks. And on behalf of anyone who may have forgotten to thank you, thanks again. I change crew colors constantly and this is a great shortcut. IDEA: I would be thrilled if it could both display, and for me to be able to manually enter, the HSB (hue sat brightness) and RGB (Red Green Blue) values, like I can on on this site, which I use to design my colors: http://www.colorpicker.com/ Once I make a rough color using the mouse, I dial it in precisely by adjusting the numbers. Sure, I could still use the colorpicker site, and just paste the hex from that site into your applet. I appreciate that you made it accept pasted hex codes. Let me know what you think... I would not be disappointed if you decide not to implement this idea because I know it is beyond the original scope/purpose of what you've already accomplished. And thanks! Thank you - that's very good of you to say. I like building these things The colour picker control that I used is a 3rd party one and I know it does have RGB and HSB options, but I'm not sure exactly what it does (if it will do both at the same time, mainly). I'll have a look into it and if it does then I'll add it later on. Edit: Okay, that's done now. I've added RGB and HSB as suggested and that's a lot better now, so thanks for suggesting that. I've got one more thing I want to do which involves calculating the difference between the selected colour and what it looks like in the game. If I can get even a close approximation of that then I'll add a preview for that as well. Edited April 5, 2016 by Furry_Monkey
Cyborg_Warrior 90
I've been having problems ever since the Tornado Custom update dropped. It goes through all possible combinations and still fails. Two HEX codes have now done it, I also edited each one slightly, multiple times. sjcgtav 4
Still working for me. Thanks for the new features!!! Please keep the original color preview that you have now, even if you decide to add another preview. Edited April 6, 2016 by Conundrum524

jpok72 36
Not sure what I'm doing wrong now. Worked fine before. Now when I try to use the bookmark it gives me a DigiCert alert (using FireFox). Thanks so much for this. I loved it when I used it.

Now when I try to use the bookmark it gives me a DigiCert alert (using FireFox). Thanks so much for this. I loved it when I used it. Thanks for letting me know. It does look like something's changed as it no longer works for me either. Leave it with me and I'll see what I can do.
Furry_Monkey 20,535
Okay, I've fixed this now (finally) and it's all up and running again. As it says in the 1st post, if you're using the old bookmark it won't work. You need to update it. It's only a very small difference, but is the difference between working and not working.
Hagenate 1
Thanks a lot for making this. I've had the white crew color for a few years and I came back to see I could no longer use it. This tool made it rather simple to get my wanted crew color back in business. Any idea if updates revert the colors used for crews? As in, if I am using white, next update I will have to do this again?

As in, if I am using white, next update I will have to do this again? That's never happened before, and it's unlikely that an update would be involved if they ever did fix this, since it's all done on the servers. They could fix this easily with a simple database query and you'd never know about it till you next went online. I think they've got other things on their mind though. This glitch actually encourages people to spend money on crew coloured vehicles, so I'd imagine it'll be left as it is.

The Crooked Panda 190
Been using this intensively the last few days and it's just brilliant. Makes changing/creating/tinkering with crew colours so much easier. I highly recommend it. All this practice had me thinking, would it be at all possible to have some sort of a log of the previously entered hex codes? Maybe the 5/10 last entries? I know nothing about programming, just thought it'd be handy! Again, thank you for your time and effort Furry_Monkey. Edited June 15, 2016 by Frenchtone83
Furry_Monkey 20,535
I'm very glad to hear it's proving useful for you I can't see a reason for not having a "recently used" list of colours. There's room under the colour information for that so I can add something there. Leave it with me.
Furry_Monkey 20,535
would it be at all possible to have some sort of a log of the previously entered hex codes? That's been added now. Enjoy Update notes 15th June, 2016 Added a "recently used colours" box where any colours you recently saved are shown, up to a maximum of 24. (It only shows colours saved from now on.) aaronBLUEeyes 1,342
I know I read about this somewhere but can't seem to find it, for we can apply the pearlescent from Pure Gold onto our crew colors? But should we apply Pure Gold first then crew or vice versa?

JRebbert512 2,303
This does not work on iPad with Safari. It appears to work ok, but after saving and then refreshing, the color is back to what it was before trying to change it. If anyone knows of a way to set forbidden crew colors on an iPad now, please let me know. Edited June 25, 2016 by JRebbert512

If anyone knows of a way to set forbidden crew colors on an iPad now, please let me know. There's not much I can do to support an iPad, but let's try a few things. When you click the "save this crew" button, do you get the green text "saved" and a tick appear above it?

Furry_Monkey 20,535
No problemo, will do. Thanks again! I'm afraid you can stop watching. What I'm doing is proving more difficult than anticipated, and I should have known better (knowing how scrappy the Rockstar developers are). I was trying to make it so that whatever colour you choose is what you actually see in the game. We know that the colours change from your crew page to vehicles, and I was trying to work out how to calculate that in reverse, therefore forcing the in-game colours to be what you actually select in the editor. I've not given up, but the results I'm getting so far are so erratic that it's difficult to narrow it down to a pattern, and therefore a usable formula. I don't give up easily though
