yes...

Okay. Let me ponder that as I can't immediately think of any reason it wouldn't work for you.

Edit: A couple of questions...

Do you have http:// at the beginning of the image URL?

Do you use a VPN?

I have http:// on beginning

and i use Ethernet Cable

VPN has nothing to do with whether you use wifi or an ethernet cable, but I'm guessing from your response that the answer is no.

Can you give me a link to your crew page, from the actual page you're using this script on?

Thank you - that tells me what's wrong. I wasn't aware of subdomains for different countries, and the pl. at the beginning of the address is enough to stop part of it working. Leave it with me and I'll post back when I have a fix in place.

Can you try it again? I've made some changes that should make it work for you now.

I'm having same problem I hover over car image and the color only gets analyzed above the Image it's like the eyedropper is upside down I hope this helps ...oh and the color that's shown needs to be darkened by at least 20% so in game it's not to bright I use http://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp

to darken the colors Zanthera gave me the link a while back it's a great site :) It might give you a idea how to add a shader to your app.

Thanks, but unless I can reproduce the issue you're having with the colour dropper then it's very, very difficult for me to do anything about it.

As for the colour difference in game, I'm looking at that and may be able to automatically compensate so that the colour you see on screen is the colour you see in game. It depends if it's a constant difference or not. If the difference is constant then it'll be very simple to calculate the in-game colour based on what you've chosen.

If it's not a constant difference or constant multiplier then I'll have to put my thinking cap on.

And thanks for the suggestion, but suggesting w3schools to a programmer is like telling a qualified car mechanic to try Tonka. The maths behind colours is pretty simple when you know what it is, but if Rockstar are doing something weird then there's not much we can do other than, as I say, trial and error.

This new thing isn't working for me, Android, chrome. It appears to work, but doesn't save properly... I tried the link to a list of bookmarklets, one of which used to work for me but got a 404, do you still have that snippet handy?

You must be thinking of the script that's in the colour request thread. There's a link for that in the OP.

Thanks for the feedback about Chrome on Android. It really should work as there's very little difference between PC and Android Chrome, but there's obviously something wrong. I'll dig out my tablet and have a look at that later.

Hey dude I really hope you can help, I'm having endless trouble saving a black color I've tried many hexadecimal combinations from 000000, 01010, 001000, and like 030303 to list a few, total random code that all looks pure black and it always says "Cannot save crew color - trying next combination" and after 32 combination attempts it cannot save crew color all I want is a black crew colour I've never understood why ts not allowed in the first place but that's a different issue I guess, can you help?

Edit: Okay so 01010 isn't a complete hexadecimal but I was obviously trying complete proper colors an with no luck.

It *has* to be 6 characters long, but other than that you should be able to use any value you like.

I just entered 000000 and it saved on the 2nd try, so there must be something else going on. Just make sure it's 6 characters long, or use the colour picker to chose the colour instead.

I'd try it out for you, but at the moment I can't because the AV software we use at work is reporting a false positive for a trojan on most websites, and unfortunately the Social Club is one of them.

Edit: Actually, it doesn't matter if it's not 6 characters long as the colour picker I used is sensible enough to left pad with zeros. I suppose I could join your crew, set the colour and then leave, but you'd need to promote me (I guess) in order to do that.

It may be obvious to you, but not to all of us. Where exactly do I have to paste your script?

Sorry - I missed this somehow. I can see Kush answered your question already, but was there something wrong with the instructions? If so then let me know and I'll update them accordingly.

The script haven't been working for me since the last title update (yesterday)

EDIT: Apparantly your script did work, just not for those hex values. I tried other values (not standard gta colors) and that worked fine.

I just tried that same colour, and sure enough it won't save. Try changing it slightly and it does. I changed it to #8e9599 and it saved with no problem.

Unfortunately, we don't really know the exact mechanics behind the why and how of this, so sometimes you just need a bit of trial and error.
